Our Story
Little did I know when I became friends with Sam_Hamwich I would one day have his last name! Last year, Evan and I became instant friends, really almost instantly the best of friends. We could talk for hours and there was really nothing more (at first) to our relationship but just true friendship. That summer was one of the roughest of my life, I lost someone very close to me, I was going through a great deal of personal troubles. Evan was just there for me, no matter what happened on this site or irl he was there to help me through it. He became my rock, even though we were literally states away from each other. When our relationship started to become something more, we decided to meet! He traveled to meet me and we dated long distance for a while. Then, in the fall he made the move down here, eventually moved in with me and now here we are! I am so happy I LITERALLY get to marry my best friend. He's perfect to me and for me.
I thought it only appropriate to make a blog, because I feel like many of you have watched our relationship blossom or have even been a part of his planning to ask me to marry him (winks at the Evanngers).
There are a lot of crazy things that I see go down on this site. There is a lot of negativity and it can be quite toxic, it has been for me at times. But you know what else, for me it's where I have met some of the BEST people, made so many new friends, had countless fun nights just hanging out, and now I can say it's the place where I met my future husband, CRAZY as it is for me to even be saying that...OMG! ##evritteverafter#FEYONCE' #cochranpartyoftwo - literally i have so many cheesy hashtags I will spare you all
When I joined survivor months ago, my goal was to get 8 merges, beating my longest prior streak of 7 merges LOL. I had the BEST time, had friendships grow stronger, and made new friends. This merge streak was HANDS-DOWN the best experience I have had on this site.
People today blogged about me "losing my streak" like it was a laughable thing. That's fine and their prerogative, I don't return hate with hate. I was ready to go out whenever... To those people I would ask, how could an experience where I gained so much be something of loss? I tell you all now, I lost nothing. ❤
Tributes to my tribe and others: Sam_Hamwich - The person who dubbed me as "finally another sane person" when I merged onto Tribe Chaos back on February 16th. Shortly after, I moved you to my first page (the GF spot #5 lmao) and we had that epic "45 minute call" that shook up all of TG and we never looked back. We quickly became BEST friends, went through merge after merge together, had countless nights on call with friends, and have been inseparable ever since. Meeting you on TG and irl made all the work, putting up with the haters, the late night DCs, and just everything all worth it. I don't know what to say except thank you for being who you are for me. I love you. Bamold1999 - Ty ❤ I remember the first time we actually spoke on call and we were INSTANT friends. Since you have become one of my best friends and someone I can trust 100%. Thank you for having my back and sticking up for me. You are amazing. I now pass the torch to you as the highest streak holder on Tribe Hot Mess, ilysm. LittleMix - Jake ❤ you are literally my LOYAL KING and ily. You have had my back for almost as long as Evan has through all the merges, but also have been there for me through other things, too. Thank you for being you. ClassiCaz5 - Stu ❤ You have also been merging with me for almost as long as Evan. I love that our merges together made us closer friends. I know I can trust you and you are so incredibly loyal. We have had some EPIC battles (bad swaps) through this streak and we always stuck it out together! ily Stu Stunzer - Justin ❤ I have told you before that you and I just have personalities that click. You have made me laugh so much with the simplest comments and I am so glad that our friendship is a result of this merge streak. ILY my cute #2 friend (go look, we so cute). xoxo

You are easily one of my best friends on the site and someone I can count on. Yea... we did that whole vote off at 20th thing way back when, but we all got through it and we have such an amazing group of friends. ~ Prior to kpelling, I never ONCE had majority votes locked on me. It was either tied on me or I was not the vote.
~ Managing votes on this tribe was literally like herding cats sometimes...
~ I can't count the number of kpells omg...
~ We often called for DC together, which I will miss.
~ Evan is still the other only sane person.
~ Tyler loves to say "I can't vote for them."
~ Jake loves to want to vote for who Tyler can't vote for.
