And this one is WILD. For starters, I went to the CORRECT softball park today! Yay me.
For this league there are A-teams (older girls) and B-teams. I coach the B-team (the younger girls). Now, some teams mix A and B team players, which is allowed. However, there’s a league rule that you can’t use the any A-team pitcher or catcher in B-team.
The coach for the other team used 3 pitchers in the A-team game, and then he tries to use one of his A-team pitchers for our B-Team game! No sir. I called this to the umpires attention and the umpire told the coach he couldn’t do that and the coach for the other team threw his hat off and forfeited right there! He yelled at me and Evan and asked what we wanted him to do? (Umm sir, maybe follow the rules?) I was in shock, and felt sorry for his girls! Never a dull moment in the world of softball coaching!
