From the perspective of an outcrop, the small shack can be seen. The fire from the tent provides a little bit of light in the rapidly setting sky. On the outcrop, Stephen and Skarlet sit on a blanket, eating chips and crackers. They play George Ezra from Stephen’s phone, and drink moscato. Skarlet laughs and brushes her hair as Stephen takes a picture of her on his phone against the valley drop-off. Skarlet suddenly looks behind her.
Skarlet: I wonder how far down that is.
Stephen: Definitely far.
Skarlet: Huh. Yeah. Who knows… maybe we’re the first people to ever sit down and picnic here. Maybe we’re the only ones that have ever even touched this rock. Do you ever think of those kinds of things?
Stephen: Maybe. Not really, I guess. I’m just enjoying the company.
He smiles and Skarlet nods.
Skarlet: Same. Same here.
A rustling in the grass can be heard behind them. Stephen lazily turns, looking around.
Stephen: Wonder what that was…
Skarlet (jokingly): Maybe it was a coyote. Or a mountain lion.
Stephen (apprehensive): I don’t think there are any lions out here…
Skarlet puts her hand on his shoulder. He faces her.
Skarlet: Relax. I was kidding. I’m sure it’s just… something small.
The wind picks up. Skarlet’s near-empty, plastic wine glass falls, quickly tumbling towards the edge. She turns around, trying to grasp it, but she’s too late. It falls.
Skarlet: Shit. The wind’s strong.
Stephen: Yeah.
He finishes off his glass and puts it back into his canvas bag. He continues to examine the brush behind them.

My goal is to finish this out. I can’t make any promises on how quick it’ll be, but out of all my series, Until Dawn is my fav to write, and I have an ending for this one that I’m dying to write (lol no pun intended).
EPISODE 1: “Got Any Cash?”

Summary: A group of newly-matched singles for a trial edition of a dating service are on vacation in a remote area, free from the stresses of day-to-day life. They’re currently on Day 3 (the final day), on the way to Death Valley National Park, after going to Vegas & Hoover Dam. They stop at the gas station to fill up. Courtney instigates gossip with Alyssa about Alyssa’s fixation with Jacob in the restroom, and Itzel overhears them, confirming suspicions to Jacob and her cousin, Briana, that Alyssa is jealous of her. Stephen and Skarlet flirt before he goes to the restroom in the station, too. He overhears a strange sawing sound before the cashier returns to the counter, weirding him out. Steven & Jonah, Greg & Marina, and Oli & Natalie also bond over the crazy nature of their “vacation.” Nirina, the rude tour guide, puts Roger, the driver, on blast for not paying on the company card. Entering the station to pay, she passes two girls dressed from the 1930s. She continuously rings the bell before being spun around to face the two girls-- this time, one has a clouded eye, both are in decay, and one has a butcher knife, proceeding to slit Nirina’s throat. The cashier comes back in, and the blonde reassures him that Nirina “paid.” The brunette then gets on the bus, introducing herself as Charity, their replacement tour guide, as Nirina fell “ill.” She addresses Roger by name, weirding him out. The bus then leaves the gas station.
EPISODE 2: “Changing Course”

Summary: A woman (Jonah’s ex-wife, Harriet) runs toward the bus as it leaves. Roger stops it, and she presents a ticket. She explains to an uncomfortable Jonah that she left their son, Cody, with her mom after seeing Jonah’s forms for the tour on the kitchen table, in order for them to work on their relationship. Kate offers her a seat, before a quiet exchange with herself, confusing Harriet. Zoe & Nikki and Maggie & Suzy talk about their reasons for going on the trip. Charity whispers into Roger’s ear as they pass “Death Valley” signage, and he changes the course. Zlata is concerned that her seatmate, Seven, is still in the bathroom. Logan, who’s been talking to Luna, offers to check up on her. He hears a man’s voice (Bravo), as Seven is giving him a blow job. She swings open the doors, ripping..

The group is walking through the searing hot desert path. A mouse’s skull can be seen on the side of the pathway as a foot accidentally steps on it, cracking it into bits. A girl’s groan can be heard.
Courtney: Ugh… disgusting. I didn’t come here to be around anything… dead.
Itzel (picking up the pace beside and joining Courtney): Should we slow down? Alyssa and Jacob still haven’t turned up.
Courtney: It’s her own damn fault for forgetting her lunch. She was our de facto leader, and then she bailed. What a flake.
Itzel: You seem like such a victim-blamer.
Courtney: Oh, I’m sure Alyssa’s a “victim”-- of Jacob’s hot and ready tongue down her throat.
Itzel: Courtney!
Briana, who’s been closely following the girls, quickly catches up.
Briana: Excuse me?
Courtney (rolling her eyes): Bri, don’t tell me you didn’t see that Jacob and Alyssa had a much better…. connection than you and him did. Obviously he was taking the ticket to get away.
Briana: First of all, I’m not “Bri” to you. And secondly, I don’t even care. If he’s a player, then I’m happy that I’m staying away from him.
Courtney: More like he’s staying away from you.
Briana: You’re such a bitch.
Itzel: Agreed.
Courtney (smirking): I’m just a truth-teller, honey.
Courtney turns around and faces the group.
Courtney: Let’s pick up the pace! You senior citizens can park it and have your bridge game when we get there.
END SCENE
Steven and Zlata are walking side-by-side, taking the rear.
Zlata: I’m really happy you picked me, Steven!
Steven: Yeah?
Zlata (nodding): There really isn’t anyone else that I’d rather go with.

Charity dismounts the bus, walking a few paces away and admiring the wide tracts of land. Roger, the driver, goes down to check the engine.
Roger: ...it’s blown. How the hell…
Charity turns to Roger.
Charity: Stay on the bus. We’ll be back before sundown.
Roger (grunting): I never stay on the bus when we go on these trips. Who do you think you are?
Charity cooly eyes Roger and smiles maliciously. Checking to make sure no one’s looking, she presses him against the front of the bus, grabbing his head.
Charity (whispering): Blood ran cold.... eyes grew white…. hands lost touch… day became night.
His skull cracks under her hands. Blood seeps from the top of his head. He drops to the ground, dead.
END SCENE
On the bus, the conversations are thinning out, as people begin to wonder about Roger and Charity’s whereabouts.
Briana (to Jacob): Are they waiting on us?
Jacob: I thought they were fixing the engine….
Itzel: It’s been at least ten minutes.
Greg sighs and gets up.
Greg: I’ll go check on them.
He descends the stairs.
Maggie (to Suzy): Still don’t know who I’m gonna go on my date with…
Suzy: I don’t even care at this point. I just want to explore!
From the front of the bus, Greg’s voice can be heard.
Greg (shouting): GUYS! They’re gone!
Alyssa makes her way down the aisle and gets off the bus to join Greg.
Alyssa (scanning the area): They… they really are. That’s so weird…
A few others begin to get off the bus. Jacob stands beside Alyssa, looking at the front of the bus, which is devoid of any bloody carnage that took place minutes ago.
Jacob: Were they just so excited to see Death Valley that they left us here?
Alyssa (shaking her head): I don’t know, but we..

The bus pulls out of the gas station, heading toward Death Valley National Park in the blazing, late-afternoon sun. A girl’s wailing can be heard from outside.
“Wait! Wait up!”
Skarlet looks at Stephen and points out the window.
Skarlet: Stephen, look!
She gets up and calls out to the driver.
Skarlet: Stop the bus!
Stephen looks at Skarlet apprehensively, remembering the scene from earlier with the station clerk.
Stephen: She’s probably just a hitchhiker…
The bus driver, Roger, reluctantly pulls to the side. Charity, who’s been surveying the road up until this point, swings her head in his direction.
Charity: We’re stopping?
Roger: Apparently…
The bus stops, and he opens the doors. A brown-haired woman carrying a tan jacket, wearing a brown sun-hat, sunglasses, and dressed in a teal button down, runs up the stairs and smiles at Charity. This is:
Harriet Crosby: 25. Jonah’s ex-wife. Seclusive, quiet, bookworm.
Harriet: Sorry, I signed up late for this tour. I-I have a ticket, but…
Charity smiles robotically and motions for Harriet to sit down.
Charity: Please sit down, m’am.
Harriet nods, fixating on Charity’s dull eye and scans the seats. Jonah, who’s been unable to see her up until this point, lets out a loud gasp.
Jonah: What… the… hell…
Harriet meets Jonah’s gaze and smiles.
Harriet: Surprise!
Jonah: What are you doing here?
Harriet: I… I saw your forms on the kitchen table when I picked up Cody for the weekend. You were in the shower… remember?

An abnormally large bus is driving through the red, sandy, barren landscape of a desert. Apart from a few cacti, some brush grass, and various elevated terrains, we see a vast expanse of nothingness being beaten down by the sun’s rays in front of the bus, while the outskirts of city lie is being left behind. The side of the bus reads, in faded letters caked by dirt and smudged: “Heart Haven Tours: Make Your First Date Something Worth Remembering”. A driver is sleepily guiding the bus as it bumps along the gravel road. Chatter can be heard in the seats behind. Sitting up front near him is an African-American woman dressed in a black polo, jeans, and wearing a red bandana. This is their group coordinator and tour guide.
Nirina Rakoto: 45. Rude, intimidating, mean-spirited.
Nirina (addressing the entire bus): Now, as we near the boundaries of Death Valley National Park, I’d like to remind each of you that it’s once again time for our “switch” when we get off the bus. This will be the third and final one, so enjoy your mini-dates in this God-forsaken, scorched, shithole before we get back on the bus to leave in exactly ONE HOUR! It won’t be any longer.
The bus driver whispers something to Nirina. She rolls her eyes.
Nirina: Fine, we’ll stop at the fucking gas station first. Don’t wanna be stranded now, do we?
She smirks and sits down as the bus pulls into the gas station filling area. A hand shoots up from the crowd. It’s coming from:
Courtney Gonzalez: 22. Slutty, controlling, poised. She’s dressed in a pink cami, green shorts,..
Thrilled to have the largest cast ever for Until Dawn-- of course, this means double the deaths, double the horror, and double the craziness!
It'll also be a little longer than seasons past, and expect more diverse plotlines/subplots.

Hey! When it comes to Tengaged blog series, I usually like to have a couple going at once because I'm crazy af. So, while I write (and hopefully finish season 1) of my current series, Southview, I'll also be setting up the beginning stages of SEASON 3 of my long-running Until Dawn series.
Unlike seasons 1 & 2, this one will be branded with the name: "Until Dawn: Deserted" instead of "Until Dawn: Season 3". It will follow the anthology format that I've had with the previous seasons, with all-new characters, a new setting, and a completely new plot that I'm excited about!

In the blue-lit room, Emma (possessed by Aubrey) and Judith stand face-to-face. Judith clutches her rosary, flanked by Maya and Wyatt. Cloe and Michael are holding each other near Justin on the cross. Hope and Gwen stand next to each other near the door. Erika runs up to Drew, hugging him.
Judith: I should’ve known Emma would have done this. She was a mindless fanatic… and I saw Cassandra’s body on the floor, too. Both of them: fools.
She sighs. Hope shakes her head.
Hope: At least they got what they deserved: slow, painful deaths.
Gwen nods. Erika finally pulls away from Drew.
Erika: I’m so glad you’re okay.
He grins at her.
Drew: I’m glad you’re okay, too.
Emma rolls her eyes and screams. Everyone turns, stunned.
Emma: Do you think this is the end?
She starts to maniacally laugh, walking around the room.
Emma: You thought that I’d just leave without any compensation for my long journey?
Judith: If you so much as touch anyone here…
Maya, who’s been preoccupied with Emma’s presence, finally locates Justin in the corner. She gasps.
Maya: J-Justin…
She runs toward him, clasping his face in her hands. Tears pour from her eyes.
Maya: No!! I… I was too late…
Emma: Don’t cry… he’s the reason I’m here, Maya. Do I not get a hello?
Maya turns to Emma, enraged.
Maya: Die, you bitch!
She charges at Emma, who effortlessly propels her back, causing her to fly into the wall with the mere flick of her hand.
Wyatt: Maya!
She runs to Maya. Judith walks over to Emma.
Judith: What do you want here? If you leave now, I’ll allow you to live… if you promise not to harm any of these people....
Emma: Why should I do you any favors when YOU killed ME? Payback is a bitch, sweetheart…
She smiles. Looking around the room, she begins to hum.
Emma: Who should be my first victim?
Looks of terror flash across everyone’s faces. Judith rips her rosary off her neck and pushes it into Emma’s face. Emma crumples down onto the floor, keeling over.
Judith: You’re not the only one with moves.

In the blue-lit room, Emma is standing by the table of tools and weapons, while Erika, Gwen, Hope, and Cloe carry an unconscious Justin toward the metal cross. Michael lays on the floor by the chair that was used to restrain Bubbles earlier. Bubbles’ father’s and Mac’s bodies are stacked on top of each other behind Michael.
Cloe: I didn’t think you were religious, Emma.
Emma: Watch your mouth. You’re lucky that Cassandra is dead. You were about to get shot on the spot once we walked in here. Instead, everything can run its course naturally…
Hope (turning to Emma): What’s that supposed to mean?
The girls place Justin onto the cross. Cloe reluctantly unspools the rope.
Erika (nudging her): She can’t kill us all…
Cloe: I know that… but we should at least wait until she’s not watching us…
Emma walks up to the girls.
Emma: To answer your question, Hope, it’s quite simple. We were placed into the institution for… practicing our religion. Who knew that Canada was so intolerant of certain religious practices?
Erika: Did your practice involve murder?
Emma: Actually, yes. But that’s beside the point. We weren’t insane. Still, I guess it’s better to be locked up in an asylum than get the electric chair.
She smiles.
Emma: The sanitarium’s where we actually came into contact with one of Cassandra’s mutual friends of Aubrey. I use the term “friend” loosely. I believe her name was… Judith Cyrus?
Gwen: Wait… she survived the Maine massacre…
Emma: Good job, Gwen! Now, she actually began to strongly dislike myself and Cass. She said we were just as corrupt as Aubrey. But, she gave us insight into what killed Aubrey-- Judith was somehow able to channel an energy that was the vice of Aubrey’s dark, demonic energy. It came from her rosary beads and somehow allowed her to kill all of the demons that were ransacking the lakehouse where the murders occurred.
Erika: Was Bubbles… I mean, “Cassandra” friends with this Aubrey chick because she was a demon?
Emma: Yes. Anything wrong with that? I personally find demonic energy worth exploring.
Erika: Yeah, something..

In the restroom, Gwen is looking at Cloe’s shoulder wound, cleaning it. Lizzie is standing lookout by the door.
Gwen: I can’t believe she shot you….
Cloe: I know…
Cloe laughs and glances at her wound.
Cloe: Maybe it’s payback for my brother refusing to give her thirsty ass anything.
Gwen: Maybe. Do you think she somehow planned all of this?
Cloe: Maybe.
Lizzie rolls her eyes and turns to Gwen and Cloe.
Lizzie: Maybe you guys should stop saying maybe.
Suddenly, Lizzie gasps. The other girls turn around. Michael is walking up to them, with Bubbles pointing her gun right behind him. He looks at Lizzie fearfully.
Michael: H-hey…
Lizzie: Michael… I-
Bubbles screams.
Bubbles: Enough with the chit-chat!
Cloe runs up to the door and examines her brother with fervor. Lizzie looks at Bubbles and turns back to Michael.
Lizzie: I’m so sorry I didn’t go with you. I-
Michael: You’re…
He starts to tear up.
Michael: Fine…. I’m sorry that I hurt you before.
Lizzie (sadly smiling): Who gives a shit about that?
Michael and Lizzie laugh and look at each other longingly. He turns to Cloe.
Michael: I-
Bubbles hits him across the head with her gun. He falls down. Cloe crouches toward him and hugs him.
Cloe: You’re fine…. I’ll take care of this.
Bubbles (smiling): No. You’re coming with me. This is a tradeoff.
A pounding from above can be heard. It gets louder. Bubbles’ face grows serious. The others look around, confused.
Gwen: I think it’s the-
The wendigo, with Emma’s knife lodged into it’s face, comes bounding down the stairs. It sees the group at the end of the hall. Bubbles pushes through Michael and Cloe to get into the restroom. She locks the door. Gwen tries to run past her, but Bubbles aims her gun at her face. Outside, Lizzie’s face flashes with fear, and she pounds on the door with Cloe.
Cloe: You bitch! Let us in!
Lizzie: Bubbles, please!
The wendigo charges at Lizzie, Michael, and Cloe. More footsteps can be heard pattering down the steps. Emma comes into view, with Erika, Hope, and Drew behind her.
Erika: It’s the others! We have to help them!
Drew: You have more knives, right Emma?
The wendigo leaps onto..

In the blue-lit room beside the basement, Cloe and Justin are continuing their interrogation of Bubbles, who is tied-up in a chair. Cloe has a knife in her hand.
Cloe: Fine. I won’t say your actual name. It doesn’t matter, right?
She walks past Bubbles, grazing her shoulder with the knife blade. Bubbles winces.
Cloe (sarcastically): It’s completely normal to have two different names.
Cloe sighs and walks over to Justin, putting her hand on his shoulder.
Cloe: This isn’t getting us anywhere. I think we should go find the others.
Justin: And leave her here?
Cloe: I mean, where can she go?
Justin (whispering): ...how do we know there aren’t others in on this? I mean… there has to be. You heard the man on the phone.
He shudders.
Justin: That guy definitely got what he deserved.
Cloe (nodding): He did. Justin… we need to make sure everyone else is okay. Plus, it’ll be safer to regroup.
Justin: I’d rather just stay here.
Cloe: Fine, you stay here. It’s not like you care much for anyone else anyway.
Justin: You’re right, I don’t. Honestly, I wouldn’t be here now if it weren’t for…
He trails off, looking affectionately at Cloe.
Cloe: Well…we should at least TRY to find the others. I need to make sure my brother’s okay.
Justin: I can stay here and watch her. Make sure no one else comes to play rescue.
Cloe: Fine. I guess this is goodbye.
Justin: I guess it is.
Cloe turns toward the door and opens it, before turning back to Justin.
Cloe: Take care of yourself.
Justin (nodding): Yeah… you too.
They stare at each other, saying nothing. Cloe leaves. Justin turns back to Bubbles.
Bubbles: Wise choice, making sure your new hoe doesn’t see you kill me…
