From the perspective of an outcrop, the small shack can be seen. The fire from the tent provides a little bit of light in the rapidly setting sky. On the outcrop, Stephen and Skarlet sit on a blanket, eating chips and crackers. They play George Ezra from Stephen’s phone, and drink moscato. Skarlet laughs and brushes her hair as Stephen takes a picture of her on his phone against the valley drop-off. Skarlet suddenly looks behind her.
Skarlet: I wonder how far down that is.
Stephen: Definitely far.
Skarlet: Huh. Yeah. Who knows… maybe we’re the first people to ever sit down and picnic here. Maybe we’re the only ones that have ever even touched this rock. Do you ever think of those kinds of things?
Stephen: Maybe. Not really, I guess. I’m just enjoying the company.
He smiles and Skarlet nods.
Skarlet: Same. Same here.
A rustling in the grass can be heard behind them. Stephen lazily turns, looking around.
Stephen: Wonder what that was…
Skarlet (jokingly): Maybe it was a coyote. Or a mountain lion.
Stephen (apprehensive): I don’t think there are any lions out here…
Skarlet puts her hand on his shoulder. He faces her.
Skarlet: Relax. I was kidding. I’m sure it’s just… something small.
The wind picks up. Skarlet’s near-empty, plastic wine glass falls, quickly tumbling towards the edge. She turns around, trying to grasp it, but she’s too late. It falls.
Skarlet: Shit. The wind’s strong.
Stephen: Yeah.
He finishes off his glass and puts it back into his canvas bag. He continues to examine the brush behind them.
Skarlet: Want me to get any pictures of you?
Stephen (nodding): Sure.
Skarlet: Okay, let’s switch spots.
Stephen: ...I’m fine here.
Skarlet: C’mon… you don’t want this whole valley to be your background?
Stephen: I’m not that into “edges.”
Skarlet (taking the picture): I can tell.
Suddenly, a loud humming noise can be heard from the brush-- the same noise that Alyssa and Jacob heard before their “bus scene.” Skarlet frowns as she’s scrolling through the pictures.
Skarlet: What’s that…
Stephen: What?
She gasps, clasping her hand over her mouth. Slowly, she shows the picture to Stephen, gazing apprehensively behind him. He looks at it-- the dark, silhouetted figure can be seen peering from behind the tall grass.
Skarlet (whispering): Wh-what-
Stephen: We need to leave.
They begin grabbing their stuff quickly. Before they can gather everything, the humming gets louder. Suddenly, the silhouetted figure creeps out from under a shrub, fixating on the both of them. Stephen turns to Skarlet.
Stephen: Run!
They drop their things and begin running.
END SCENE
Inside the dark shack, Luna sits in a wooden chair, resting her hands on a tiny table, while Logan crouches down beside her. Just behind them on the other side of the shack, Natalie, Steven, and Zlata are having a conversation. Logan lights a match and begins lighting all of the half-burned candles around them.
Logan: ...it’s starting to get dark.
Luna: Exactly. Where the hell is Courtney? She was supposed to round everyone up.
Logan (shaking his head): Courtney seemed a little less-than… reliable.
Zlata laughs at something Steven says. He nods.
Steven: It’s true, though!
Zlata: Wait… I’m not sure I even understand.
Steven: Then why are you laughing?
Zlata: I just… I like smiling around you.
Steven (turning red): Uh.. oh. Cool.
Natalie: Perhaps I’ll go try and find Courtney…
She exits the shack, leaving Steven and Zlata to keep their own company.
Zlata: I’m still not completely accustomed to “American” humor. Back in Ukraine, things were a lot less… jovial.
Steven: Well, now you’re here. So I feel like you need the full experience of the American west. Wanna go for a walk before the sun completely sets?
Zlata nods her head. They walk out the back of the shack together.
END SCENE
In front of the shack, Oli and Jonah are having a conversation and sipping beers. Greg is laying down near them, asleep against a tree.
Oli: I’ll be getting my masters in psychology in a couple years. Then, I’ll probably stay in New York.
Jonah: Impressive. You sound very driven.
Oli: I’ve spoken it into existence since I graduated high school, so, no doubt, it’s happening. What about you? What do you do?
Jonah: I WAS working at this start-up company, but this whole custody battle kind of caused me to re-prioritize… and I may or may not have been... let go.
Oli (pausing): Oh… I’m sorry.
Jonah: It’s fine, it’s just… a lot of adjusting. I have Cody now, Harriet gets him some weekends… which is why I don’t get why she just handed him off to her mom the first chance she got. She’s so hard to understand.
Oli nods, yet he’s visibly over “Harriet.”
Oli: I’m sure YOU’RE a great dad.
Getting up from his nap, Greg brushes himself off and joins Jonah and Oli.
Greg (pushing his shades up to his head): Hey, guys. Know where I can find Marina? Last time I checked, she was over with Suzy and Maggie checking out the tent.
Oli: I think they went off… somewhere.
Zoe and Nikki, who’ve been making their rounds, stop in front of Greg, Jonah, and Oli.
Zoe: Hey guys. Look, I think we need to stick together and get everyone back to the bus. Now.
Before any of the guys can respond, Nikki interjects.
Nikki: Did the two that stayed behind back there ever even, like, find us?
Oli (pause): Uh… no.
Greg: You don’t think-
Nikki: That something bad happened? (she looks at Zoe) I don’t know.
Zoe (nods): I… probably not. But still, this is… this is really weird. It was weird when Roger and Charity just “disappeared”, it’s weird that Alyssa and Jacob are still gone, and the fact that we’re still chilling out here-
Jonah (chuckling): When some insane psycho killer is going to come after us? It’s dangerous? You’re right. (laughs) You’re totally right.
Zoe: This isn’t that funny. I never said there was a killer, but they might be in trouble.
Oli: Or they’re just hooking up.
Zoe scans around the outside of the shack, until seeing Itzel and Briana. She points at them.
Zoe: They’re worried, too.
Oli: Briana’s probably just “worried” because Jacob stood her up on their date so he could fuck somebody else. Replace “worried” with “jealous.” (He laughs).
Nikki: I’m sure. Look, it’s just for the best that we leave now. Before nightfall.
Greg nods.
Greg: You’re both right. But I need to find Marina first.
Zoe: We need to find everyone.
Zoe and Nikki leave to go round up the rest of the group. Greg turns to Oli and Jonah.
Greg: Wanna come with?
Oli looks at Jonah, widening his eyes and shrugging. Jonah smiles.
Oli: Sure. We’ll join ya.
END SCENE
In a thicket a little ways from the camp, Kate is holding her head and grimacing. She rocks her body back and forth.
Kate: Fuck… fuck… fuck… fuck.
She collapses on the ground and starts to cry.
END SCENE
Harriet is quickly walking back toward the bus on the trail. She squints ahead at the evening light, shielding her eyes. She wipes away a few tears. She stops, panting, and takes a swig of water from her bag. The cracking of a branch can be heard behind her. She turns around, suspicious. Scanning the area behind her for a moment, she quickly puts the water back into her bag and continues walking.
END SCENE
The outside of the small tent outside the shack has smoke rising from the top. A woman’s scream is heard. Natalie rushes out of the tent, horrified.
Natalie: My God! Where are the employees to this establishment? I didn’t think that Heart Haven dropped us off so that we could engage in ORGIES in the desert!
From behind the shack, Maggie, Suzy, and Marina rush toward Natalie. Suzy takes her hand.
Suzy: You okay? (she smirks) You saw things in that tent that you can’t unsee, I’m guessing.
Natalie: That would be an understatement.
Marina: Look, I think it’s pretty clear that there’s no one else here. We probably went to the wrong place.
Suzy: You mean following a random map that we found on the ground wasn’t a good idea?
Marina (smiling): Yes. That’s exactly what I mean!
She turns to the tent.
Marina: But… you do you I guess, right?
Maggie: That’s gross, though. Like really?
Suzy: It certainly-
Natalie: It’s classless!
Maggie: It kind of is hella trashy.
A hand shoots out of the tend and taps Maggie on the shoulder. She turns around.
Seven (from the tent): It’s not nice to shit talk someone who isn’t there to defend themselves.
The hand is revealed to be from Courtney. She steps out of the tent with a blank expression on her face.
Maggie: Having fun?
Courtney grabs Maggie’s shoulders, firmly tightening her grip.
Maggie: What are you-
She opens her mouth and tears into Maggie’s neck. Suzy, Marina, and Natalie shriek. Courtney pulls away from Maggie’s neck and smiles, spitting pieces of it out. Maggie clutches her neck and sinks to the ground, bleeding out.
Courtney turns to the three ladies in front of her with a calculated expression.

Yay, so glad to see this back! 1. I like Zoe and Nikki, as well as Gregg. 2. I'm not really shipping anyone yet.
3. Kate has a multiple personality disorder, which has been said in the character application (unless you decided to go against the char app, and give her some other reason for being weird, but i don't think so).
4. She probably brainwashed her or put some spell on her. We saw that she can use magic in the last episode.
5. It was pretty gruesome. I wonder if Charity, the creature who killed Alyssa and Jacob and this Courtney/Seven thing are all parts of the same evil entity, or if they're completely independent villains. If they are independent, it would be interesting to see different villains fighting each other at some point.
