Suvivor One World Ep 4 review Mar 8, 2012
There has been a lot of WTF moments on Survivor and tonight's episode is pretty much up there. I was intrigued and disturbed at the same time but hey, that's Survivor for ya.

My score card

Salani- Are in the background most of this episode. Their camp is still crap (even with the tarp) but they are getting there and eventually, they will surpass the men. I'm still surprised that they don't wanna take the offer from the men to help them fish after all they did for them. They definitely benefited from the Men giving up immunity evening up the numbers. +6

Alicia- I can't stand her on my screen. I'm glad Sabrina is finally waking up to her shenanigans. I can't believe she made a stink about Kat calling her dumb and she ended up loosing the challenge over the puzzle and being "whatever" over it!! And thank you CBS for blurring her butt! Now if we can get them to blur her face as wel...-3

Kim- The silent observer this episode. There's a lot more to Kim than what we see. Her and Kim are holding the cards right now--they could either keep the alliance strong or dump Kat/Alicia for Christina/Monica. I say keep the alliance 'cause I'm pretty sure there will be a tribe switch. She's definitely giving me the Leanne Slaby (s9) vibe of the Salani tribe.+1

Christina- When the women lost immunity, I thought she was done for. She should be thanking Bill for that. I think she's still in hot water. Memorable crotch shot when she fell off from the slingshot platform though...+1

Kat- I'm starting to warm up to her. And yay for her being right about Alicia & puzzles and for her not screwing up the challenge this time :) +2

Monica- Monica is starting to look like a better asset than Alicia or even Kat. Out of the two outsiders, I can see Monica having a better chance of surviving and replacing Alicia on the alliance. I admire her because she's the least whiny of the women +2

Sabrina- I think Sabrina has Christina & Monica's back more than she has Alicia & Kat's. I hope she can convince Kim and Chelsea to make a move to dump the dead weights--but only if there's no tribal swap this season. I think she's invested in Colton more than anyone on Salani +2

Chelsea- This girl has her ups and downs, but the puzzle didn't really damage her as much as Alicia did since she's one of the more stronger females. She and Kim hold the cards right now, but I feel that Kim is the smarter of the two +1

Manono- WTF were they thinking? Going to tribal council was a hasty decision and Bill would've been gone right off the bat anyway. I don't see any strategy here, just indulgent dramatics.

Colton- He plays with his emotions and he is in control right now, but as a character on the show, he is revolting. He's manage to offend black people, little people, and the deaf/blinds (see Helen Keller line). In one episode. I can't believe I'm saying this...but I miss Russell Hantz. -7

Leif- Poor Lief. If he had been voted off this episode, how fitting was it that they shown him sleeping in a casket/box earlier in the episode? The little guy had a big mouth and he does deserve being chastised for it. He's gonna have an uphill battle ahead of him -1

Jonas- I thought he was gonna be the cool mellow guy on the show, but as the show progresses, he starts getting more douchy and being Troyzan's lackey. I'm gonna hate seeing him bend over to Colton next episode -1

Tarzan- This guy is all over the place. He really needs to chill down. Did he forget his medications before going to Samoa? Out of the misfits, he's taking the vocal leadership role and that's usually the first target when the tribes merge. -3

Troyzan- I think the whole episode benefited him the most. His alliance is running the tribe and Colton isn't getting any jury votes, he has Jonas in his pocket and Tarzan is in the firing range as a target. +2

Mike- Kudos on throwing poor Leif under the bus to give you cushion. With Lief taught a lesson, Mike's the #1 target of the misfits the next time to go to tribal +1

Jay- When the model is the voice of reason, something is wrong with this tribe. He's right about keeping immunity but not opposing Colton and the majority is much more essential in Survivor unless you have influence. He's playing it safe for now. +3

Bill- Oh, Bill, we hardly met you. I was so right in the pre-game previews when I thought he was too wishy washy. Pushing Colton's buttons really did him in--and Colton got him out like he said he would. He played into his trap thinking Leif would be voted off if they go to tribal. I'm glad he told Colton off before he left. It sad he had to go that way, but he's one of the more gracious exits I've seen on the show +1

Salani's 6 + Manono's -5 = 1 and that's what I thought of the entire cast as a whole

But here are my scores for extra bits

The tribes are equally matched in challenge wins +2
Jeff's face when Manono entered tribal council +3
Tribal Council madness +1
Previous giving us false hope that Colton would be voted off -1

This episode gets a +6 added in with the +8 last episode making this season a +14 so far.

This episode is definitely one of the highlight of this season and though I have a feeling the next episode won't be as shocking, this season is starting to pick up steam.

This episode picks up from the crapfest that is last episode. We have the girls unraveling and finally the men finally starts back-stabbing each other...well, Matt's boot was obvious, but I guess it looked like a blindside in their perspective.

My score card

Salani- Finally it starting to turn around for this team. They are still stubborn and came off as too entitled to what the men have. Are they even aware they're playing Survivor? +7

Alicia- The only time I saw her was how obnoxious she was towards the men after all they did for her tribe. I would've pushed her into the fire. -3

Kim- She was invisible this episode, but we see her as an athletic asset and a quiet strategist. Hope she goes far. +4

Christina- I can't believe there wasn't anything about Monica voting for her. She had her shining moment when she won the reward for her team, but it doesn't remove the huge target on her +1

Kat- Week 1) Not knowing what ambiance is Week 2) Lost the immunity challenge Week 3) I took 7 tries to beat Troyzan. She's a walking weekly Dumb Blonde moment and I'm starting to find it endearing. If she severs he ties to Alicia, she may be one of my favorites. +1

side note******No creepy face Nina :)

Monica- I see her doing all there is to ingratiate herself with the main alliance. I did have a hard time seeing her struggle in the immunity challenge though +1

Sabrina- She was less visible this week until she pulled a come from behind victory. kudos! +2

Chelsea- The girl can wrangle chicken and catch fish! She rocked that immunity challenge. Good thing they won, cause she was starting to get too whiny for me. +1

Manono- Finally, we get some action this week. I can feel their angst when they get nothing for helping out the women. -5

Colton- I can't believe he has control of the men's tribe right now. He's playing too emotionally and it's gonna bite him the ass. Also, calling Bill 'Ghetto Trash' bothered me though he is pretty annoying. -4

Leif- He has the least amount of air time right now, but at least he's in a good position +1

Jonas- He's in a good spot as well, as Matt thinks he's trustworthy enough to be put in his alliance. Other than that, not much Jonas this week +1

Tarzan- He is the Achilles Heel of Colton's alliance. He couldn't keep his mouth shut and he's a terrible liar. My goodness, he's sat out in back to back challenges! -1

Troyzan- I don't think Troyzan was even trying at the reward challenge. Now that his alliance is running the show, he is in a good spot. +1

Mike- Mike is in hot water. He is in Colton's radar right now and he didn't approach any of the odd ball alliance on strategy. His saving grace is a tribal switch up. -1

Jay- Deemed as the least offensive of the muscle heads, he walked into a strategy meeting that would change his luck. Sure, he's the 'dingleberry' of the alliance right now, but if he is deemed important enough, he could just take Tarzan's spot +1

Bill- This is the first episode to feature Bill. Unfortunately, his edit was not good. He blew the challenge and Colton found him annoying enough to send him home. He is in serious trouble. I lol'd at his WTF worthy speech at tribal. -1

Matt- He tried to control his tribe, but grown men don't like to be told what to do. His fatal flaw was if he's gonna be a douche, do it in secret!!! and have an idol! He's no Russell Hantz. Good riddance -2

Salani's 7 + Manono's -5 = 3 and that's what I thought of the entire cast as a whole

But here are my scores for extra bits

STILL NO INTRO!??! -1 (can someone at youtube make one up?)
Jeff felt like doing a reward challenge YAY! +2
It was not a total domination of one tribe +1
Tarzan thinking he's gonna see the 2 other votes +2
Drama over the rain +1
Men finally waking up to the women mooching off them +1

This episode gets a +9 added in with the -1 last episode making this season a +8 so far.

Finally, things are shaping up. I like how everyone gets a chance to be featured this season. I'm just mad that all 3 boots right now are in my top 10 prediction(kourtney was my 10th, nina is my 6th, and matt is my 3rd)

What a let down of an episode following the premiere. I guess there so much the editors can use despite how pathetic the women are.

My score card

Salani- WTF were they thinking when they were brushing off Colton! As annoying as he is, he can be helpful with the numbers which they will need seeing how pathetic they are in challenges. They are a hot mess! -11

Alicia- She had less airtime than last weeks, but just as annoying as ever. But she can afford to be obnoxious and lazy cause she's not on the outs of her tribe -2

****sidenote: I MISS Kourtney!!!! :(

Kim- It was smart not to jump ship with Chelsea. She'll be around for now since she's one of the stronger females. +1

Christina- I can't believe Monica voted for her. Her apology to Alicia is a bit too little too late. She's gonna get votes until she is voted out +1

Kat- You're a young dumb blonde and just own it. She is lucky that she is in a majority alliance -4

Nina- I totally agree with Nina about the tribe, but I would rather keep pretty but annoying Kat than have to look at your face. -1

Monica- She will be the last of the outsiders to be voted off due to her good showing at the Immunity Challenge. I don't know the reasoning why she voted for Christina. +1

Sabrina- She felt comfortable enough to be the "leader" but if they keep loosing she will have a target. And a big boo for her for sending out her "BFF" Colton just because he's from the other tribe. She could've used it for her advantage -5

Chelsea- To me, she went from an "Ozzy" edit to a whiner after 1 episode. She now has to live with the rash decision of making an alliance the first 5 minutes. -2

Manono- They tried to be nice by making the women's fire, but of course their actions last week pretty much made them the "enemy" no matter what they do. They're in a right track so far. +7

Colton- He's so whiny and needy, I can't stand it. He looks like he's having a period this episode. Kudos to making the odd ball alliance though. +1

Leif- Why are there so little (no pun intended) Leif clips!?! Maybe being little is the only interesting thing about him... +1

Jonas- He's pretty much Captain Obvious this episode, pretty much narrating things that people are talking about. +1

Tarzan- Ewww! Someone cover that man up! That underwear looks like a bikini bottom! I'm sorry but his Tarzan schtick will get old -2

Troyzan- Unlike Tarzan, Troy scaled his crazy back a little bit. Now if he keeps his mouth shut, he can actually run the game. +1

Mike- Not much of Mike was shown this week, but it was nice of him to make the women's fire. Good job on not pushing Colton to the water when he was yelling at him to "Hold him" at the challenge. +2

Jay- One of the few plusses this episode is not hearing Jay's helium voice as much +1

Bill- Like Jay, he's one of Matt/Mike's lackeys. Not as funny as his Youtube videos. +1

btw...I kinda noticed he has a lil afro growing from the top of his crack. >P

Matt- I actually liked Matt this episode. Unfortunately, I can only stomach him when he has a "Purple Kelly" edit. +1

Salani's -11+ Manono's 7 = -4 and that's what I thought of the entire cast as a whole

But here are my scores for extra bits

STILL NO INTRO!??! -4
The Do-It-Yourself challenge is very Big-Brother-esque and tacky! -3
The challenges so far hasn't be as grueling as season's past -2
No inter-tribal alliances as the producers have hoped for -2
The predictable early chain of women leaving early as usual -2

This episode gets a -19 added in with the +18 last episode making this season a -1 so far.

Not a good episode, but it's still early in the season, so hopefully it will turn around.

Its awesome! Its so refreshing to see new format spawning new interaction w/ the players! The cast should improve more as the season goes on, but I thought it was a steady premiere. Not having returning players & redemption island helped too (especially w/ Kourtney's case)

My score card

Salani- They came off as whiny and desperate this episode. I'm giving them a +6 total this week

Alicia- This girl is too mouthy. She's in an alliance so she's safe for now. -2

Kourtney- Congrats, you are the first female to be medivac'd from an injury! It sucks too, cause she seem one of the sane ones. +3

Kim- My pick to win. Her desire to beat the men may be the main story arc this season. +1

Christina- I don't know how Alicia thinks she's making deals w/ the men, but she's in hot water. -1

Kat- She's the weaker young girl that you see every season. Funny how she 'acts' tough at tribal. -1

Nina- Her face will give me nightmares for days -2

Monica- Not as controlling or prissy as I expected but at the same time, I like how she has a backbone against the men. +1 Kudos on sneaking an ember from the men.

Sabrina- She found the idol w/o clues on day 1 and is smart enough to assess what's going on +3

Chelsea- Don't mess w/ the Southern chick! Her catching those chickens turned me on. +4

Manono- Yeah their decisions made them look like douchebags, but its a game! In Survivor, compassion is a potential downfall. -6 for this week because of one person.

Colton- Is playing the most angles. He was annoying, but I can't wait to see what he can do with the idol +2 (I LOL'd @ his head dive)
...btw those are some fruitty looking underoos

Leif- Stronger than I thought. He's obviously loyal to his tribe. More Lief please +1

Jonas- Definitely not boring as I thought in this episode. I find his ramblings rather amusing +1

Tarzan- "Call me Tarzan...No--Call me TAR-zan!!!" Find it creepy that he wants to see a pole dance from the women -2

Troyzan- "But I'm Troyzan! Not that old freak!" Definitely came off as the old guy who thinks he's w/ the young guys but not -1

Mike- Does what a typical banker does--steals from others and keeps them from getting resources. Not a fan of his smug look -1

Jay- Definitely a follower when he help enforce keeping
the women out of their camp. Where's the charm now? -1

Bill- Didn't see much of him, I was waiting on him saying something funny. But he didn't annoy me though +1

Twatt--I mean Matt- If youre gonna be a level 10 douchebag, why be so friggin' obvious!? -7
BTW, His "Fratboy Alliance" reminds me of the antagonists in 80's comedies.

Salani's 6+ Manono's -6 = 0 and that's what I thought of the entire cast as a whole

But here are my scores for extra bits

Making the tribes walk separately to the same camp +2
Jeff's cool maneuver w/ the helicopter +1
No INTRO!!!! -3
The Drama over stolen axes +1
The Drama over chicken +2
The Drama over some fire +1
Everyone got to talk!!! +2
A challenge that is rigged for women and they end up loosing anyway +1
Jeff making the women fight at tribal for nothing +1
A beach full of annoying people +10

So far this season gets a +18

Good Job, One World! Can't wait to see next episode.
