Hola everyone and welcome BACK to NMT S1! It has been a HOT MINUTE, trust me, I know! I've been pretty caught up and barely have time to watch movies and I didn't wanna just give up on the show, so I decided to take my time and watch the movies at my own pace! With that, let's get into this results show!

The Iron Giant (1999) NewNightmare7 - OMG what a sad ass climax!!!! I remember watching this as a kid and being fucking DESTROYED at the "Superman" scene and it still stands up to this day!! The rest of the movie is quite nice as well. Dean is so hot. Heyyy Dean ~~~ what was I talking about again? Oh yeah! The movie! It has a super fun plot and fun characters too! Not much else to say. Definitely a fun rewatch. Maybe not my favorite out of the bunch but it still stands out.
Emperor's New Groove (2000) turkeylover - omg no way I used to be OBSESSED with the show to this movie as a kid!!! Like I can't remember a single plot point but I do remember yassing!!! I believe I've seen the movie once before so this was a nice rewatch for me! This movie is so fun and I especially love the fourth wall breaking jokes that just work so well! The animation is also so bright, fun and colorful and the storyline is also great for teaching kids to be nice and whatnot. A great submission from you!
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) coolKat - I've always heard of this movie but I never got into watching it! First off I love how short it is, imo it's the perfect time for an animated movie. Let me tell you I did NOT expect this to be a musical going in LOL and I was pleasantly surprised! This was overall a pretty good watch! Quite scary too, for a kids movie! The score is just gorgeous and I think the kooky movements of everything just adds to the overall aesthetic of the film!
Scooby Doo on Zombie Island (1998)Β Symmetry888 - YASSSSSSS I love scooby doo movies!!! Like...literally my childhood!!! And for a direct to dvd movie this is actually a masterpiece. The fact that the supernatural was proven to be REAL and they also LOST the evidence was just perfect!! My only downfall is that scooby is VERY annoying in this movie not even to the point of being funny but where I'm just like...okay let's give someone else some more screentime? But overall an amazing and nostalgic watch!

X (2022) turkeylover - My second time ever seeing this movie and honestly I think its soooo much better on rewatch! You just really start paying attention to the little details and kinda enjoy it more waiting for the iconic scenes to come on. This is probably one of the best slasher films we have gotten like...this decade! It's just so fun! The characters are amazing in their own way and the kills are fun and unique as hell. Mia Goth slays in this and honestly....Pearl girlboss idc idc!!! She had her reasons!!
28 Days Later (2002) NewNightmare7 - I actually have seen this and the sequel before and honestly as a kid I actually enjoyed 28 Weeks Later more, but now upon rewatch as an adult this is actually pretty great! The focus of the movie isn't necessarily about the zombies, it's more about an insight on how far humans can go when presented with unique circumstances. The most hard hitting scenes in the movie to me are actually the scenes where they appreciate the small things, i.e. looking at the horses and having fun in the supermarket. And the final act is fun too! Hannah reversing the car into the building with the commander - ICONIC!
Men (2022) coolKat - girl I- π mama that was WILD. Like I have never been so confused in my life. The movie definitely left me with more questions than answers but I assume that was what they were going for. I definitely caught the symbolism right away throughout the movie but I had no idea how it fit into a coherent plot. Of all the movies I watched this season this definitely is out there for one of the weirdest ones and I kinda love that. Very unique movie that captures an atmosphere of intense loneliness among such beautiful scenery!
The Wailing (2016) Symmetry888 - OMG this was WILD! Like this movie fucked me up girl!!! I don't even know what to say except that I am SHOOK and GAGGED and also kinda PISSED by the end of the movie omfg...like the way there was 27 twists in the end had be so intrigued and omg that last like...hour...had me on the edge of my fuckin SEAT I was shaking and crying and throwing up girl. When I finally put two and two together by the end and also read a few movie breakdowns I was left like π§. omg a mess a mess...
