i don't think anybody is saying this with malicious intent but it's getting really tiring to be viewed as a child/diminshed cause of how i look. i KNOW i look young but i'm a sophomore in college and ive been through too much in my life to be treated like a child. i know its just tengaged but this really struck a nerve with me because people see me as a younger figure irl too because of how i look and its really irritating.
i want people's perceptions of me to be based on how i talk/act and not how i look but unfortunately that's not how society works - on tengaged i can at least put on an avatar, hide my face, and let people judge me on my actions instead of my appearance ^_^
I hear you on that as someone who's 26 and looks 19 on a good day. Not saying it'll get any better, but all we can do is grow and think of how to navigate it best for our mental health <3 Because other folks are assholes sadly.
