I hate when people think they know everything about my religion when they know nothing about it! The first thing islam teaches us is PEACE.
I can't even yell at my parents or random people yet alone go and kill people...and i work in health which i think is the opposite of hurting people...
Edit 1: To the person who keeps giving me info of random sayings without proper citation, i will give you the best citation i can from the QURAN ITSELF. I am not someone who has the quran memorized but i do know some good quotes and examples. When the prophet was persecuted by the people who opposed him this is what he said:
"لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ" "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.” And I as a muslim when someone insults my belief I say THAT i dont go killing people if someone goes and does terrorism thats not Islam fault thats the humans fault.
Also when the Muslims reconquered Mecca. Our Prophet DID NOT kill anyone from the losing side post-war. When they asked what he was going to do with them he said "Leave, you are free".
And after each Muslim conquest in that era there was NO PERSECUTION AFTER CONQUEST. People were allowed to practice their religion and live freely after the Muslims controlled their era.
As far as terrorism, ISIS itself has attacked a mosque in my own country Kuwait. So they should represent Muslims.

The Quran:
Quran (2:191-193) – “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]… but if desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”
There is a good case to be made that the textual context of this particular passage is defensive war, even if the historical context was not. However, there are also two worrisome pieces to this verse. The first is that the killing of others is authorized in the event of “persecution” (a qualification that is ambiguous at best). The second is that fighting may persist until “religion is for Allah.” The example set by Muhammad is not reassuring.
Quran (2:244) – “Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things.”
Quran (2:216) – “Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.” Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding caravans with this verse.
Fact: in the 1400 year history of islam, muslims have murdered over 270 million people.
Fact: Since 911, muslims have committed over 23 thousand deadly terror attacks around the world.
Fact: Islam can not and will not peacefully co exist with any other religion on earth. Never.
Fact: Where are all those so called “peaceful” muslims when the terror attacks occur? Why do they not stand publicly against the attacks as a religious group? The reason….. is in the verses below… It goes against their koran.
Muslim (20:4645) – “…He (the Messenger of Allah) did that and said: There is another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred (higher), and the elevation between one grade and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the earth. He (Abu Sa’id) said: What is that act? He replied: Jihad in the way of Allah! Jihad in the way of Allah!”
Muslim (20:4696) – “the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: ‘One who died but did not fight in the way of Allah nor did he express any desire (or determination) for Jihid died the death of a hypocrite.'”
Muslim (19:4321-4323) – Three separate hadith in which Muhammad shrugs over the news that innocent children were killed in a raid by his men against unbelievers. His response: “They are of them (meaning the enemy).”
Tabari 7:97 The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared, “Kill any Jew who falls under your power.” Ashraf was a poet, killed by Muhammad’s men because he insulted Islam. Here, Muhammad widens the scope of his orders to kill. An innocent Jewish businessman was then slain by his Muslim partner, merely for being non-Muslim.
Tabari 9:69 “Killing Unbelievers is a small matter to us” The words of Muhammad, prophet of Islam.

Islam is what you make of it like any other religion, you can use religion to be a better person or use it in a negative way. How you use it depends on each individual, and clearly most of us don't intend to do the latter
I hate religion in general. I respect your religion, but no matter what you do to try and stay peaceful, history shows that all religion dies is cause violence
I was doubting Islam when I was 13, then left the religion when I was 15. I have nothing against Muslims as my family is primarily Muslim, but I really don't know how people can be happy and practice Islam at the same time, especially females.
All religions can be great, but they can promote wrong, and extreme viewpoints.

Christianity have caused so many problems, but because they have privilege, it is only talked about positively or hardly taught about in a negative fashion. Christians have murdered many and forced many to assimilate or die. I don't think religion is a good thing overall, but Islam is not the only religion that has people who do horrific things.

I actually never hear people say "Muslims are terrorists!" so idk why it's become such a big issue..Maybe like 0,000001% of the population thinks that all muslims are terrorists but we all know they're just stupid idiots. So with that being said, I'm just a bit tired of hearing about it everywhere I go "MUSLIMS ARE NOT TERRORISTS" Like we know..any good people know that. Can we move on now?

It is very sad. I'm an American and have friends at school that are Muslim and they are super cool and nice. I just think given events that have happened in america, can you blame them for being a little scared if you're on a plane with a Islamic state person. I know that's wrong and we shouldn't think like that but I'm sure more than 50% of Americans do, and not cuz we don't like Muslims but because of 9/11, and we gotta be safe!
But I agree 100 percent it's not Muslims doing the terrorist acts, it's the people themselves and its a shame that people blame Muslims as a whole. I also don't think we should blame Americans tho either because given events in our countries history, we have every right to be afraid! But no right to be prejudice.
I know that most Islamic people are all about peace, however I do not understand how people such as ISIS find killing in the name of Allah peaceful. I do not associate it with all Muslims, because that's morally wrong, I only associate it with what is heard in the media. I respect you 100% man!
