So i have an internship at an orthopedic hospital (bones) and we had to do rounds to check up on the patient. So my job was to just follow the doctors and observe, learning about the speciality.
So rumor was there was a member of ISIS as one of the patient. So while the consultant left and I was with one of the residency doctors we had to pay him a visit.
Me and my best friend were kinda shocked and anxious how this was gonna work. They had the person in an isolated room. He was in Syria but brought back in Kuwait and charged and jailed.
The isolated room is in the corner of the ward, its usually for patients with infectious diseases to keep them away from others or people with low immunity to avoid hospital infections.
Outside of the room were THREE police with all their equipment sitting outside the ward. Couches were placed for them and they had their vests and all that. They were on their phone lol.
We go inside and me and my friend just stood at the door while the doctor examined the patient and asked about his condition. There were handcuffs on the bed. He looked like a normal person and was polite with the doctor and seemed normal.
The ethical side of me was torn i mean this person is a criminal but it is the duty of a doctor to treat everyone. It was an interesting experience especially to have it so young.
So yea wanted to share that :P Also saw a psychiatric patient on drugs that kept running away from the hospital but thats another story
EDIT: I forgot, the name registered to him was Unkown :O thats how we knew it was him before seeing all the stuff
