PREVIOUSLY on Big Brother, the houseguests were thrown a curveball on Day 1 when they found out the HOH would have to nominate three houseguests. Big Brother also revealed that the survivor of the eviction could receive a power, and that turned off a lot of people from wanting to win the first HOH, so Big Brother offered each houseguest the opportunity to throw the first HOH. For five people, they were entered into a BB Raffle for HOH, and Emily, the stay-at-home mom from Pennsylvania won the first HOH. Who will she nominate for eviction? And how will the houseguests react to the week's twists and the new Power of Veto? Find out tonight on Big Brother!

-DAY 1-
EMILY! Congratulations, you are the first HOH of the season.
Emily: What?!?!!
Farrah: Congratulations!
Tom: Good job!
Christian: Congrats!
Emily (DR): OMG! I'm the first HOH! I don't think there was any scenario in my mind that had me winning the first HOH before I came, but here I am! I've got my key and I'm ready to go!
Farrah (DR): I think Emily winning the first HOH is a good thing for me. We are both pretty young girls and I think she will want to keep me around for that.
Cristina (DR): None of us really know Emily so it's interesting to walk in to the house with an HOH already in place. You just got to run with it.
-DAY 2-
Emily: Let the butt kissing begin!
Emily (HOH): Being HOH gives me a lot of power. People are going to want to play with me and that's exactly why I wanted to be the first HOH. In my alliance, I want strong guys. I want guys like Jaxon.
Emily: I want you on my side.
Jaxon: I'm so down.
Emily (DR): Guys like Joshua, Derek, Culpepper. Guys that will keep me safe. And, when the target comes, it will hit them and not me.
Emily: I wanted to be in a five-person alliance with four guys, and this is who I want.
Culpepper: We're going to kill this.
Derek: There is no way we can lose this.
Joshua: If we lose this, we are terrible.
Jaxon: The winner of this season is standing in this room right now.
Derek (DR): I'm in love with this plan. The guys are perfect. Emily is going to help us with our social game to get us in with the house. Couldn't be a better fit.
Culpepper: What's our name? We need a badass name.
Jaxon: How about NSYNC* because we are waving Bye Bye Bye to our competition?
Emily: I don't think people would like that.
Derek: How about Bye Bye Bye?
Joshua: LOL. I actually don't mind it.
Jaxon: Bye Bye Bye it is.
Culpepper (DR): We ain't no lie, baby. Bye Bye Bye.
-DAY 3-
Tom: I'm worried I could go up.
Samantha: What makes you think that?
Tom: I'm the oldest. I'd be an easy guy to throw up there.
Sasha: Don't think that. I'm sure you're fine.
Temperance: I wouldn't worry too much.
Tom (DR): I'm the oldest here at 50. Nobody here is even in their forties. I need to play a good social game and talk to Emily otherwise I could be sitting on the block.
Tom: Hey.
Emily: Hey there.
Tom: What are you thinking for nominations?
Emily: I really have no idea.
Tom: I think this week, you should go after someone that is going to be difficult to get out later. You should get out likable people.
Emily: Like who?
Tom: Joshua is very popular among people, but not from a game stand. He will be tough to beat.
Emily: Makes sense. But I need to put up two others.
Tom: Here's the deal. I'll be an easy boot down the line. I'm older than everyone and it will be easy to get me out later. Throw up a bunch of likable people before they are too liked and people get too attached to them.
Emily: I get what you're saying. It makes sense.
Tom: Cool. Well I got to get my lunch going, so I'll see you soon.
Emily: I'm glad we talked.
Emily (DR): Tom is after Joshua, my ally. So yes Tom, I'm glad we talked because you just walked yourself right into my firing line.
Joshua: Hey.
Emily: Hey. So Tom came in here and said your name to go up.
Joshua: You serious?
Emily: Yeah.
Joshua: OK, so now we have a target. That's good.
Emily: I need pawns.
Joshua: Put people up that will definitely stay over him. Put up popular people.
Emily: Like who?
Joshua: I don't think people will knock out Farrah this week. They think it's too early. Setsu is fun too. She won't go. Neither would Jacob.
Emily: I've got options now. This is good. I won't feel as bad putting these people up.
Emily (DR): Joshua has been my eyes and ears and now I have a little more clarity. I can take his advice, but ultimately, these nominations are mine. And I have to put three people up.

Farrah (DR): I'm a little surprised to be on the block. I thought Emily would want to keep me around since we are the two youngest girls but I guess not. Emily is not the girl I thought she was.
Jacob (DR): She was dumb to put me up. If I win the veto, it will look like the worst move in Big Brother history.
Tom (DR): I guess Emily did not take my advice, which means one thing. Her and Joshua have to be aligned.
Emily (DR): Tom is my target this week. Jacob is there as a competitor for the veto and Farrah is a good pawn.
-DAY 5, VETO DRAW-
JB: Houseguests, please come to the living room.

JB: Houseguests, the motto of Big Brother, has, is, and always will be to expect the unexpected. This season is no different.
*POV wheel appears on TV*
JB: This season, the Power of Veto is as important as ever. Each week, you will play for a very specific Power of Veto, and that will be determined by the POV Wheel. This week, the three wedges are for the Golden Veto, the Double Veto, and the Triple Veto. So, in addition to drawing for veto players, you will also spin for a veto power. Emily, as HOH, will you spin the wheel.
JB: This week, the wheel has landed on the Double Power of Veto. This means that not one, but two of you will win the Power of Veto. This is the only Double Power of Veto of the season, and next week, the Double Veto wedge will be replaced with a new veto wedge. Zach: Houseguests, it's time for the first competition of the season! Please head to the backyard!

Zach: Houseguests, this is the first POV competition of the season and the stakes are higher than ever before. The Veto up for grabs this week is the Double Veto, which will grant two of you the power to remove a nominee from the block. This competition is called "Siamese Twinsies" and here is how it works. For today's competition, you will select a partner and be attached at the leg and hand. Therefore, you will have three legs and an arm each to be able to put dominoes across your lane in order to reach the finish line. The first duo to get from Point A to Point B wins the Power of Veto. The two losing duos will become Have Nots for the week, with the exception of HOH Emily, who is already a Have. Does everyone understand?
All: Yes!
Zach: OK, let's get started!
Jacob (DR): In this challenge, I want someone the same size as me so I look at Christian, he looks at me, and we are a team.
Emily (DR): I don't want any of the nominees to win, so I pick Cristina. That way, if I win, the nominations have a chance to completely stay intact.
Tom (DR): I'm with Farrah, and we are polar opposites. We haven't talked much so I have no clue how we will get through this challenge together.

-DAY 6-
Christian: The other day was clutch man.
Jacob: It sure was.
Christian (DR): Jacob and me winning yesterday was a good chance for us to bond. We've become really close now and we are using this veto like a team. It looks like we are going to work down the line together and that's fantastic.
Dana: It's crazy how that worked out for the two of you to be a team.
Jacob (DR): Dana and Christian are two people I really want to work with down the line, but we need a fourth.
Christian: Who do you think will go up?
Dana: It could be me.
Jacob: No. I think maybe Cristina or Temperance. A good pawn. I think she wants Tom out.
Christian: What if I veto Tom?
Dana: Or Farrah?
Jacob: That would piss her off, but it could gain us a new ally and force her hand.
Dana: Yeah, it would.
Christian (DR): I don't know what I would do with this veto. Jacob will veto himself, but I could veto one of the other two or leave it the same. I haven't really decided yet, but if I use it, I could gain a strong ally.
Emily: Tom is going and that's what matters.
Derek: Yeah, no worries.
Emily: I need a replacement nominee.
Jaxon: I think Zach makes a lot of sense.
Emily: I don't want to put up Cristina, she helped me out yesterday and I feel bad for being responsible for her being a Have Not. But if I did a woman, maybe Setsu or Dana? Temperance?
Joshua: I think Zach is safe. Putting up a woman does not make as much sense as Zach. He's a perfect pawn so Tom can go. The house wants to keep the young people, not the older people.
Emily (DR): I know Jacob is going to use his veto on himself, and I know Tom is staying on this block, so I don't think it really matters who I put up. As long as Tom goes, it's been a good week.
-DAY 7, VETO CEREMONY-
Jacob: Hey houseguests! It's time for the veto meeting.
Christian: Please come to the living room.
*HGs go to living room*
Jacob: As the holder of the Power of Veto, I have the power to veto one of Emily's nominations. As I am one of her nominations, it would be stupid of me to not use this on myself. So I'm going to not be stupid here and take myself off the block.
Christian: I also hold a Power of Veto, and I would like to give each of the remaining nominees a chance to explain why they should be saved. Farrah, you are first.
Farrah: I think I'm a nice person, and I think I deserve to stay. I hope you use this on me.
Christian: Thank you Farrah. Tom, you are next.
Tom: I'm an easy target for being the old guy and that's why I think I'm on this block. If you take me off, I can be a shield for you moving forward. I'm an easy guy to take out, so do it later when you have less room to breathe.

Tom (DR): I can't believe the veto was used on me. I am indebted to Christian now. He's a life saver.
Emily (DR): I was blindsided by Christian. I cannot believe he did that without giving me any warning. Shows that he is definitely not on my side and he's untrustworthy.
Zach (DR): I'm surprised I'm on the block. I don't know what I did to deserve it and I don't know this game very well, so maybe I did something I shouldn't have done without even knowing it?
Dana (DR): Well, I'm on the block. Hopefully my alliance can save me because I need it bad. Haha.
-DAY 8-
Jacob: So, who are we voting?
Christian: I assume that Emily is going to want Farrah out because she put her up originally, so let's keep Farrah.
Jacob: So, we vote Zach out.
Christian: There are twelve votes. We have you, me, Tom for sure.
Jacob: Farrah is going to need to rally some votes for her. If we tell her we are saving her, she will tell people to vote out Zach.
Dana: I'm down with this plan.
Dana (DR): These guys have my back. It's nice to play with smart people in this game.
Emily: Getting Farrah out will save this from being the worst HOH disaster of all time.
Jaxon: Yeah, she'll go.
Joshua: We have four votes, so we just need two more.
Culpepper: Cristina might vote with us, so that'd be five.
Derek: Maybe Samantha or Sasha will vote with us.
Jaxon (DR): I think we have the votes this week to get Farrah out, we just need a few more votes and we can lock it down.
Derek: Let's get Farrah out. She is an easy first vote.
Sasha: I can get on board with that.
Samantha: Sounds good.
Farrah (DR): I'm worried that I might go, because at this point, I haven't heard of anyone saving me.
Jacob: Hey, I know I'm not supposed to talk to you so let's make this quick.
Farrah: OK.
Jacob: I have your back, I want to save you, but people want you out. If you can work the girls into voting out Zach, you will have the votes and he will go.
Farrah (DR): Hearing this news from Jacob has me stoked. I'm going to woo all the women into some girl power tricks and try to get them to keep me.
Farrah: Let's not have a girl go first.
Temperance: I agree.
Sasha: I don't want that to happen.
Samantha: Me neither.
Setsu (DR): It's a tough first vote. It seems like it's between Farrah and Zach. The HOH wants Farrah out, but the girls are skeptical to get a girl out first, and Zach hasn't really proven himself to be a strong game player. It's going to be close.

JB: It is time for the first live eviction of the season. Let's go to the house.

JB: Zach, you've left. Do you think you know why you left?
Zach: No. Maybe I wasn't playing the game enough. I wasn't there for a game though. I was on vacation from school and I treated it as such.
JB: I won't get into too much detail because there is a twist this season Zach.
Zach: Really?
JB: Yes, and it might involve you returning to the game. In a few weeks, there will be a veto wedge with the Platinum Power of Veto. This will allow one person to win the Power of Veto to not take someone off the block, but take someone out of the game. The HOH will then have the power to replace that person in the game with anyone outside of the game, and that could be you. Until that moment comes, you will head off to sequester and await your potential return.
Zach: Awesome. Hope I'm back. I had a great time. Thank you to everyone who got me here.
*Zach exits*
JB: We still have a matter to come to tonight. Remember earlier in the week when we said one of the surviving houseguests might receive an advantage? Well, we are getting to that right now. Let's head back to the house.
