Looking for something NEW in 2020? Apply for ENDURANCE! Jan 3, 2020

Cutthroat 2020 kicks off with a bang in the new year by introducing a classic game to the Cutthroat brand.

Players will pair up and compete in missions with their partner in order to earn the power to send two teams up to the TEMPLE OF FATE.

Two teams go up, but only one will come back.

The game is set to follow majority of the original format but I will put my own Cutthroat spin on the format.

I am so excited to host one of my favorite formats from growing up and I hope TG takes the opportunity and plays in the inaugural season of Cutthroat 2020!

Cutthroat Survivor: All Stars RETROSPECTIVE Dec 27, 2019
I am working on a blog series where I revisit all 20 seasons of Cutthroat #Survivor

This acts as an archive in a way, and it will allow people to reminisce all of what Cutthroat Survivor had to offer.

Season: All-Stars

{Yellow Buffs} (10/10 Remaining)

Anthony/rawr121 - Gold Coast, 8th
Chandler/Chandelier - Lanai, 3rd
Dave/DaveRCB - Raja Ampat, 1st
Eli/EliOrtiz1234 - Phonsavan, 11th
Gavin/greyconverse - Phonsavan, 2nd
Julian/TheSexiestDude990 - Phonsavan, 8th
Lima/LimaBean - Phonsavan, 1st
Livingston/noobsmoke13 - Raja Ampat, 6th
Raul/MrBird - Lanai, 5th
Sagar/obscurity - Anambas, 2nd

{Purple Buffs} (10/10 Remaining)

Akshay/galore - Raja Ampat, 7th
Ben/benp248 - Rasdhu, 7th
Brittany/LaFierceBrittany2 - Phonsavan, 7th
Cole/Coyle14 - Lanai, 2nd
Hufus/Hufus - Raja Ampat, 2nd
Jabbar/rabbaj - Anambas, 9th
Kyle/RedsKanto - Gold Coast, 5th
Nick/BluJay112 - Phonsavan, 3rd
Yandere/Yandereboy12 - Lanai, 9th
Zach/IceMakeRampart - Rasdhu, 3rd

2️⃣0️⃣ Dave/DaveRCB - Fanur - Day 1 (6-4)

The Fanur tribe went to the game's first tribal council, where Dave and Lima were targeted for being the only two winners in the cast and some of the least-connected players in the game.

Eli began this charge and created a six-person alliance with Anthony, Gavin, Julian, Raul and Sagar. Dave was the first casualty as the six stuck together to vote him out.

1️⃣9️⃣ Lima/LimaBean - Fanur - Day 2 (7-2)
1️⃣8️⃣ Ben/benp248 - Weriyeng - Day 2 (4-0(6))

Lima became the second casualty as both tribes were sent to tribal council and Fanur made the easy vote.

On Weriyeng, Cole, Hufus and Nick had an alliance from being close in the community. The rest of the tribe targeted them for it and were looking to target Cole for their first vote. However, Cole read the tribe correctly and played his hidden immunity idol, negating the six votes against him.

The three of them targeted Ben, who won an immunity idol during the reward challenge to begin the game. Ben tried playing the idol during tribal council but was unable to play it due to a rule barring live idol plays. This rule was amended following this tribal council for future seasons.

1️⃣7️⃣ Nick/BluJay112 - Weriyeng - Day 3 (5-3)

Realizing his back was against the wall, Hufus mutinied to the Fanur tribe after losing the immunity challenge. Therefore, Nick and Cole were on the outs.

Despite a valiant effort to try and push the vote onto Kyle, Nick and Cole were unsuccessful and Nick was voted out.

--- Tribe Swap ---

{Yellow Buffs} (8/8 Remaining)

Cole/Coyle14 - Lanai, 2nd
Gavin/greyconverse - Phonsavan, 2nd
Jabbar/rabbaj - Anambas, 9th
Kyle/RedsKanto - Gold Coast, 5th
Raul/MrBird - Lanai, 5th
Sagar/obscurity - Anambas, 2nd
Yandere/Yandereboy12 - Lanai, 9th
Zach/IceMakeRampart - Rasdhu, 3rd

{Purple Buffs} (8/8 Remaining)

Akshay/galore - Raja Ampat, 7th
Anthony/rawr121 - Gold Coast, 8th
Brittany/LaFierceBrittany2 - Phonsavan, 7th
Chandler/Chandelier - Lanai, 3rd
Eli/EliOrtiz1234 - Phonsavan, 11th
Hufus/Hufus - Raja Ampat, 2nd
Julian/TheSexiestDude990 - Phonsavan, 8th
Livingston/noobsmoke13 - Raja Ampat, 6th

1️⃣6️⃣ Eli/EliOrtiz1234 - Fanur/Weriyeng - Day 4 (6-2)

Eli entered the numbers in the majority at the new Weriyeng, with Akshay and Brittany being the only members to remain on Weriyeng.

However, Brittany and Eli's feud from Phonsavan came to blows again and Brittany won the battle, getting all of the tribe except for Julian to vote Eli out.

1️⃣5️⃣ Brittany/LaFierceBrittany2 - Weriyeng/Weriyeng - Day 5 (4-1-1-1)

Everyone had their own agenda for the vote following Eli's departure. However, an alliance that stemmed from original Fanur grew closer as Julian was brought back into the fold by Anthony, Chandler and Hufus to take Brittany out of the game.

1️⃣4️⃣ Livingston/noobsmoke13 - Fanur/Weriyeng - Day 6 (4-1-1)

The alliance of four remained strong for the next vote as they prepared to kick out one of the outside members. The tribe decided to keep Akshay and vote Livingston out right before the merge.

--- Merge ---

{Blue Buffs} (13/13 Remaining)

Zach/IceMakeRampart - Rasdhu, 3rd
Gavin/greyconverse - Phonsavan, 2nd
Julian/TheSexiestDude990 - Phonsavan, 8th
Cole/Coyle14 - Lanai, 2nd
Chandler/Chandelier - Lanai, 3rd
Raul/MrBird - Lanai, 5th
Yandere/Yandereboy12 - Lanai, 9th
Kyle/RedsKanto - Gold Coast, 5th
Anthony/rawr121 - Gold Coast, 8th
Hufus/Hufus - Raja Ampat, 2nd
Akshay/galore - Raja Ampat, 7th
Sagar/obscurity - Anambas, 2nd
Jabbar/rabbaj - Anambas, 9th

1️⃣3️⃣ Cole/Coyle14 - Weriyeng/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 7 (8-3-1-1)

The newly formed tribe of thirteen were looking for easy votes to begin the merge before beginning to break up and play smaller alliances. Kyle developed an enemy out of Cole for targeting him early on in the game and playing an idol.

Enough free agents were able to latch on to the plan to eliminate Cole and make him the first member of the jury.

1️⃣2️⃣ Kyle/RedsKanto - Weriyeng/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 8 (9-2-1)

For targeting Cole in the last round, Kyle made himself a target. He thought it would be smart to engineer a split vote of Gavin and Raul, but it was all for naught.

Nearly the entire tribe saw the low-risk opportunity and sent Kyle to Ponderosa to join his buddy Cole.

1️⃣1️⃣ Zach/IceMakeRampart - Weriyeng/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 9 (9-1-1-1)

For the third round in a row, the tribe looked to create a singular target. While Zach was looking to target Raul and Yandere was looking to target Hufus, the rest of the tribe looked to go after free agent Zach to make another easy vote.

In a vote that was constructed very last minute, Zach was voted out with a near-unanimous vote.

1️⃣0️⃣ Hufus/Hufus - Weriyeng/Weriyeng/Yalafar - Day 9 (5-3)

In the second half of the first fast forward in Cutthroat Survivor history, the plan appeared to target Yandere, the final free agent. However, Anthony, Jabbar, Julian and Sagar saw this as an opportunity to eliminate Hufus as one of the bigger threats left in the game.

With the fast forward upon them, the four of them sided with Yandere and took their shot at Hufus, who left with an idol in his pocket.

0️⃣9️⃣ Gavin/greyconverse - Fanur/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 10 (Medically Evacuated)
0️⃣8️⃣ Yandere/Yandereboy12 - Weriyeng/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 11 (7-1-1)

For self-voting a third time, Gavin was medically evacuated.

The other seven remaining players agreed to eliminate Yandere, the final free agent left in the game.

0️⃣7️⃣ Julian/TheSexiestDude990 - Fanur/Weriyeng/Yalafar - Day 12 (4-2-1)

The Final 7 were looking to splinter, but it was clear that Julian and Sagar were going to stick together. Not happy with this, Anthony looked to target Julian to get closer to Sagar.

As Julian and Sagar targeted Akshay, Anthony and Jabbar saw the opportunity to oust Julian to work closer with Sagar.

0️⃣6️⃣ Sagar/obscurity - Fanur/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 13 (3-2)

With Julian out of the game and Raul exiled, it appeared that Anthony, Jabbar and Sagar would have the majority to take control of the game on their way to the Final 3.

However, Jabbar was caught in the middle of the tribe and chose to side with Akshay and Chandler to give him the best chance at winning the game, blinsiding Sagar.

0️⃣5️⃣ Akshay/galore - Weriyeng/Weriyeng/Yalafar - Day 14 (3-2)

With Anthony and Akshay on the chopping block following a Raul immunity win, Chandler and Akshay were hopeful that Jabbar would vote with them again. However, not wanting Anthony out of the game so he could make the end, Jabbar opted to keep Anthony over Akshay, increasing his chances at making the Final Tribal Council.

0️⃣4️⃣ Raul/MrBird - Fanur/Fanur/Yalafar - Day 14 (3-1)

With Anthony winning Final Immunity, Jabbar's plans to take Anthony out at the Final 4 backfired, so he settled for the next best thing -- a Raul boot.

--- Final Three ---
0️⃣3️⃣ Chandler/Chandelier - Fanur/Weriyeng/Yalafar (1 vote to win)
0️⃣2️⃣ Jabbar/rabbaj - Weriyeng/Fanur/Yalafar (2 votes to win)
0️⃣1️⃣ Anthony/rawr121 - Fanur/Weriyeng/Yalafar (5 votes to win)

In the end, the jury admired Jabbar for making moves when he had to and Anthony for being in a strong position for the majority of the game. In the end, the jury rewarded Anthony with the win due to his position of always remaining good despite often times being in the minority.

Voting History:

All-Stars is one of the best seasons in the franchise.

It featured one of, if not the most competitive Cutthroat casts on paper and the twenty of them delivered wholeheartedly.

There is constant shifting of alliances, close to the point where you might call it as "voting blocs."

The "advantage menu" reward challenge to begin the season definitely set a tone for the season and the theme of hard gameplay is seen throughout.

Anthony played one of the best games I've witnessed in Cutthroat. He was never a target and was seen as my winner pick from maybe Final 10 onwards.

He had control of the game for majority of the game even when he was not in the majority alliance. That's the sign of someone who is very in tune with the game and Anthony is a very deserving winner.

Cutthroat Survivor: Anambas RETROSPECTIVE Nov 29, 2019
I am working on a blog series where I revisit all 20 seasons of Cutthroat #Survivor

This acts as an archive in a way, and it will allow people to reminisce all of what Cutthroat Survivor had to offer.

Season: Anambas

JEMAJA {Black Buffs}

PALMATAK {Green Buffs}

SIANTAN {Red Buffs}

TEREMPA {White Buffs}

1️⃣6️⃣ Dylan/RavenWhiteFeather - Jemaja - Day 1 (3-1)

Jemaja lost the first challenge and would attend the first tribal council of the season. Jake, Josh and Ryan formed an early alliance as they all stuck together and voted out Dylan.

--- Tribe Dissolve ---
1️⃣5️⃣ Kisa/Kisa - Siantan/Siantan - Day 2 (7-0)

In this season, the first two tribes to lose immunity would be forced to join a new tribe. Jake, Josh and Ryan all individually chose to join Siantan. And despite being down in numbers 4-3, they had an inactive tribe member, Kisa. With Kisa's self-vote, they had the numbers and the rest of the original Siantan joined them to vote her out.

--- Tribe Dissolve ---
1️⃣4️⃣ Charles/ChaBro - Terempa/Terempa/Terempa - Day 3 (4-0)

All six members of the old Siantan joined Palmatak and they won immunity, sending the Terempa tribe to their first tribal council, where Alex, Nolan and Silver voted out the inactive Charles.

--- Tribe Swap ---

{Green Buffs} (6/6 Remaining)

{White Buffs} (6/6 Remaining)

1️⃣3️⃣ Tomas/TR1364 - Siantan/Siantan/Palmatak/Terempa - Day 4 (3-0(3))

Tomas picked his tribe and had four people from the previous Palmatak tribe compared to two original Terempa tribe members. However, Jabbar was not comfortable with the majority and flipped over to Alex and Nolan. Nolan played his idol, negating the three votes his way and Tomas was blindsided.

1️⃣2️⃣ John/Jxhn - Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak - Day 5 (3-3/4-0)
1️⃣1️⃣ Omar/OhEm0507 - Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak/Terempa - Day 5 (2-1-0(3))

On Palmatak, Jake, Josh and Sagar were wary of John, the most threatening player on the other side of the tribe. John also held an immunity idol. The tribe was planning a split vote on him and Matthew, and it worked with Matthew's self-vote. John failed to play his idol and was voted out unanimously in the revote.

On Terempa, Omar was trying to get back in the majority's good side after voting against them at the last vote. Omar joined Jabbar and Nolan in their plan to oust Romeo. However, Sagar won the power to assign his immunity necklace after the votes were cast, and he gave the necklace to Romeo, negating his three votes. While Romeo continued to target Nolan, Alex and Silver played it smart and voted Omar out in order to keep their alliance in tact.

--- Merge/Jury ---
1️⃣0️⃣ Nolan/mysterygame2 - Terempa/Terempa/Terempa/Terempa/Igara - Day 6 (6-3-1)

The Siantan alliance of Jake, Josh, Romeo, Ryan and Sagar were a tight five going into the merge. Alex, Jabbar, Nolan and Silver were a tight four going into the merge. Both groups were in hot pursuit of Matthew, the game's biggest free agent. Ultimately, Matthew sided with the Siantan alliance and sent Nolan to the jury. Alex self-voted.

0️⃣9️⃣ Jabbar/rabbaj - Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak/Terempa/Igara - Day 7 (5-3-1)

The Siantan five were now in full control. Alex, Jabbar and Silver offered to make peace to the five by targeting Matthew, but they preferred to vote out Jabbar, a bigger threat to the alliance of five.

0️⃣8️⃣ Josh/musicboy1999 - Jemaja/Siantan/Palmatak/Palmatak/Igara - Day 8 (3-1)
0️⃣7️⃣ Matthew/mbarnish1 - Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak/Palmatak/Igara - Day 8 (3-1)

Unfortunately for the alliance of five, the One Day Tribes ruined their alliance with four going to the green tribe and Romeo by himself on the white tribe.

On the green tribe, Jake, Ryan and Sagar solidified their Final 3 deal by voting Josh out.

On the white tribe, Romeo appeared to be a goner, but Alex and Silver extended the olive branch to Romeo to possibly work together down the line. Therefore, the wild card Matthew was voted out.

0️⃣6️⃣ Alex/ghrocky100 - Terempa/Terempa/Terempa/Terempa/Igara - Day 9 (4-2)

Alex and Silver were looking to target Jake and they needed Romeo's vote to do it. However, Romeo opted to stay with his original alliance and send Alex to the jury.

0️⃣5️⃣ Romeo/BritishRomeo17 - Siantan/Siantan/Palmatak/Terempa - Day 10 (2-1-0(2))

At the Final 5, Romeo was preparing to bring himself off the bottom of the alliance, looking to create a new Final 3 with Ryan and Silver. With Jake winning immunity, their target moved to Sagar, who was heavily rumored to hold the final hidden immunity idol. Despite this, Romeo and Silver still voted for Sagar while Ryan and Sagar put their votes on Romeo, who they felt was acting shady.

0️⃣4️⃣ Silver/Silver09 - Terempa/Terempa/Terempa/Terempa - Day 11 (3-1)

When Jake won the Final Immunity Challenge, Silver had one foot out the door. He made one final plea to Ryan to try and take Sagar out, but his efforts failed and he became the final member of the jury.

--- Final Three ---
0️⃣3️⃣ Ryan/Iceey - Jemaja/Siantan/Palmatak/Palmatak - 1 vote to win
0️⃣2️⃣ Sagar/obscurity - Siantan/Siantan/Palmatak/Palmatak - 2 votes to win
0️⃣1️⃣ Jake/Lemjam6 - Jemaja/Siantan/Palmatak/Palmatak - 4 votes to win

The jury tabbed Ryan as the third wheel in the dominant Final 3 alliance and most based their decision on Jake vs. Sagar. Jake and Sagar's games were neck and neck, but Jake's FTC performance put him slightly ahead of Sagar and it netted him the win.

Voting History:

This season had more dull moments than exciting ones, but it was by no means a bad season.

The post-swap rounds were the peak of the game, with three incredible boots in Tomas, John and Omar.

Once the merge hit, the game got pretty predictable as Jake, Ryan and Sagar had the game all locked up.

Jake looked like a clear winner from Day 1 and it was nice to see how passionate he was about the game. I believe that his dedication is what ultimately lead him to a win as he simply worked harder than his tribemates to build relationships and forge paths to get to the end.

Jake's winning game is one of the best Cutthroat games I've seen and this season was truly his.

There was not a whole lot of back and forth with power shifts but it was an entertaining game nonetheless.

Rating: 6.5/10

Ranking: 12/20

Returnees: Jake (Overstepping Champions), Sagar (All-Stars, Henan, VoV), Silver (Flops vs. Tops, VoV), Romeo (Providenciales), Matthew (Providenciales), Jabbar (All-Stars), Nolan (Edge of Glory), John (Flops vs. Tops)

Cutthroat Survivor: Raja Ampat RETROSPECTIVE Nov 27, 2019
I am working on a blog series where I revisit all 20 seasons of Cutthroat #Survivor

This acts as an archive in a way, and it will allow people to reminisce all of what Cutthroat Survivor had to offer.

Season: Raja Ampat

{Green Buffs} (6/6 Remaining)

{Orange Buffs} (6/6 Remaining)

{Purple Buffs} (6/6 Remaining)

1️⃣8️⃣ David/daveydod - Misool - Day 1 (6-0)

Misool lost the first immunity challenge and were all on the same page. The tribe opted to remain strong and eliminate the only inactive member of their tribe.

1️⃣7️⃣ Luca/LiukBB - Salawati - Day 2 (5-1)

Salawati had their first tribal council, where the tribe looked to vote out the inactive Luca. Cody opted against this and voted for Keizo, but it was not enough and Luca's torch was snuffed.

1️⃣6️⃣ Zelen/Zelen - Misool - Day 3 (4-1)
1️⃣5️⃣ Stoner/Gaiaphagee - Batanta - Day 3 (3-2-1)

In a double boot, Zelen was the easy target for Misool as he was not a part of the majority alliance. Meanwhile, Batanta visited tribal council for the first time and Stoner was clearly the target. He tried one last ditch effort to save himself, and got Bengie to flip with him, but it was not enough and he was voted out.

1️⃣4️⃣ Dan/dwipeouts - Misool/Salawati - Day 4 (4-2-1)

In the challenge, Misool lost and was absorbed by Batanta and Salawati. Dan and Keemstar were in the minority on the new Salawati and the vote was between the two of them. However, Keemstar was able to maneuver his way into the majority alliance as Dan was voted out.

1️⃣3️⃣ Brady/CoachWade - Misool/Batanta - Day 5 (5-2)

On the new Batanta tribe, BB and Brady were on the outs and Brady looked to flip one person to take out the inactive Bengie. However, BB was looking for a new alliance as he felt the old Misool was a sinking ship. Brady sunk to the bottom and was voted out.

1️⃣2️⃣ Cody/TwoStep - Salawati/Salawati - Day 6 (6-0)

The Salawati tribe had to choose between Keemstar, the only non-original tribe member left or Cody, someone who voted for Keizo the past two votes.

Ultimately, the tribe felt Keemstar was more loyal and Cody was voted out right before the merge.

--- Merge/Jury ---
1️⃣1️⃣ Keemstar/OldNewz - Misool/Salawati/Waigeo - Day 7 (6-5)

The two tribes merged and the tribe was split down the middle. The Batanta tribe held a 6-5 majority, but the Salawati tribe felt they could swing BB, the only Misool member of Batanta, over to their side. Their attempt failed and Keemstar joined the jury.

1️⃣0️⃣ Pat/pokepat - Salawati/Salawati/Waigeo - Day 8 (6-4)

The Salawati tribe was now down 6-4, and they tried once more to get BB to flip over to their side to force a tie. However, the plan failed for a second time and Pat became the second person to join the jury.

0️⃣9️⃣ Bengie/countrysavage - Batanta/Batanta/Waigeo - Day 9 (1-0(5)-0(3))

In one of the craziest votes in Cutthroat history, Akshay was the next to go in Batanta's pecking order. However, the minority hid the fact that Akshay had an idol and they looked to set their sights on Hufus, the game's biggest threat. However, Hufus's intuition was strong, and he played his idol in the case Akshay played one. Both Akshay and Hufus played idols successfully, negating all of their votes. Just one vote counted -- Bengie's self vote, and it would be enough to send him to the jury.

0️⃣8️⃣ Patrik/patricenka9 - Batanta/Batanta/Waigeo - Day 10 (3-2)
0️⃣7️⃣ Akshay/galore - Salawati/Salawati/Waigeo - Day 10 (2-1-1)

With Bengie joining the jury, it was a victory for the minority. And another gift came their way when the One Day Tribes were activated.

Keizo won a double vote at the auction and joined a tribe with Livingston. They formed majority on the purple tribe and voted out Patrik.

On the green tribe, Akshay was all alone, but he played his last card -- an idol bluff. The bluff was enough to get Hufus to vote Dave, but it was not enough for Akshay to stay.

0️⃣6️⃣ Livingston/noobsmoke13 - Salawati/Salawati/Waigeo - Day 11 (2-2-1-1/3-1)

Keizo and Livingston were in a 4-2 minority, but they had confidence that they could swing Kaitlyn and that cracks had been exposed after the last tribal council.

While BB and Kaitlyn were the votes that Keizo and Livingston thought they could get, the two of them voted Livingston, while Dave and Hufus threw their votes to force a tie.

In the revote, the Batanta 4 stayed strong and sent Livingston to the jury.

0️⃣5️⃣ Keizo/Foxy_Piplup - Salawati/Salawati/Waigeo - Day 12 (4-1)

With Keizo facing a 4-1 minority, all he could hope for was immunity. When Hufus won his third immunity challenge, Keizo was all out of luck and was voted out unanimously.

0️⃣4️⃣ Kaitlyn/MarthaSpeaks - Batanta/Batanta/Waigeo - Day 13 (3-1)

With Hufus winning his fourth immunity challenge, Kaitlyn was voted out as she was the player furthest from the core of the alliance.

--- Final 3 ---
0️⃣3️⃣ BB/purplebb4 - Misool/Batanta/Waigeo - 2 votes to win
0️⃣2️⃣ Hufus/Hufus - Batanta/Batanta/Waigeo - 2 votes to win
0️⃣1️⃣ Dave/DaveRCB - Batanta/Batanta/Waigeo - 4 votes to win

With four immunity wins, a successful idol play and no votes cast against him all season, Hufus was the bookies' favorite going into tribal council.

But BB and Dave weren't going to lay down and let him have it. In one of the greatest FTC performances in Cutthroat history, Dave pulled off the improbable and won 4-2-2.

Voting History:

This season is a breath of fresh air compared to most of the Cutthroat seasons. Many members of this cast were young in their TG GG careers and are some of the more prominent members of the community today.

A lot of the people in the cast would go on to be some of my favorite players to host in Cutthroat history.

The pre-merge left something to be desired and the Misool dissolve did not play out as well as it did in my head.

Even though the merge was very much one side versus another, it was very entertaining.

The Bengie vote is one of the most iconic plays in Cutthroat history, and the two tribal councils after that were exceptional.

If I were a juror this season, my vote goes to Hufus. He really did not do anything wrong, but Dave won the jury over. Therefore, I cannot really say that Dave does not deserve it. He played a great game and I'm happy with him winning as the outcome.

Overall, this season was so fun to host because the personalities were fresh, the players enjoyed it and they respected each other.
