some people don't have self control or they have it on their saved tab links at the top and accidentally click and there you are. You have good self control but others definitely don't

Plus if you really want to come back to your account that badly the mods are able to help you with that.
It's hard for most people to overcome an addiction. Most people need that extra push to leave. If you need a ban to get you away from the site, I think it's acceptable. However, I think self-requested bans should be for a minimum of 2 weeks.
I've done both I guess it depends where I'm at mentally , sometimes I can get too attached to having a place to blog random shit and log in out of habit just to blog shit ,but I also left twice once fir a year once for 2 because I had other stuff to focus on , when you're doing nothing with your free time this place can fill a large part of that time , and when you do that it's kinda like a mini crisis "what do I replace it with now " kinda thing .

and what's wrong with requesting a permanent ban? if someone chooses to lose access to their account forever, it's better to request the mods than post porn on the blogs page
