Big Brother S22 Power Rankings (Top 15)

Aug 15, 2020 by PowerRankings101
imageWell we’re here at week two and I do think my week one assessment was, for the most part, a big flop, as Janelle (ranked 16) was saved at the top of the week, Kevin (ranked 3) was put on the block, and Memphis (ranked 14) just won HOH. I did predict Keesha having trouble fitting her way into this season, so I do pat myself on the back for calling that, I just didn’t expect it to come this early. Now, without safety, Janelle and Kaysar are definitely going to be the ones to watch, and I will have plenty to say about my winner pick Ian now that Dan’s right hand man Memphis won HOH. Let’s rank.

15. Janelle Pierzina- It looks like the house is now broken up into three sides. You have the people who were tight with Cody (Nicole F, Enzo, Dani, Memphis, Tyler, Chrismas), then you have the people who were obviously on the opposite end of Cody’s rein (Kaysar, Janelle, Kevin), and then you have the ones in the middle like (Ian, Nicole A, Bay, Day, and David). It’s an interesting breakdown, but it seems like all of the first seven people I mentioned are safe, leaving a pool of about 8 possible nominees. Janelle seems to be the ring-leader of the opposing side. She’s tight with Kaysar, obviously, but has been seen making good bonds with people like Nicole A and Da’Vonne. My worry for Janelle is that she is a much flashier player than Kaysar. Kaysar may have won the safety comp in week one, but Janelle is always going to be seen as the bigger target to take out, just based on her longevity in past seasons. Do I like ranking Queen Janelle this low AGAIN? Absolutely not. But last week really solidified that Janelle and Kaysar were on the outs, and I just don’t know how Janelle will be able to escape the block unless one of her or Kaysar wins veto.

14. Kaysar Ridha- Kaysar was a star last week (even if his partner-in-crime WORE the star costume), completely reading the HOH’s intentions and saving himself in the comp. Kaysar or Janelle would’ve likely been first boot, but he DID that. The problem is, now they’ve both vulnerable with only a veto to secure their safety. I think one (if not both) of them will end up sitting on the block come eviction night. Why is Kaysar more threatening than Janelle? Because he’s a much more strategic thinker. Why is Kaysar NOT as threatening as Janelle? Because Janelle has the track record of going far, Kaysar doesn’t. Kaysar has gone pre-jury both times he’s played (3 if you count the vote-back). This might be his saving grace if he’s up against Janelle, because I think people would prefer taking a pre-juror further in the game than someone who came in third two times. If they both end up safe, good on them, because they are the two most blatant targets. I’d love for them to continue, but it’s looking a bit grim given how hard they played week one.

13. Ian Terry- Does it absolutely crush my soul to put Ian this low? Absolutely. But I do think Memphis was the WORST case scenario for Ian, as there’s probably a little jealousy that Memphis has for Ian. Memphis couldn’t beat Dan, Ian did. That’s a lot of reason to take him out. The good news for Ian is, Ian has been shown to win comps when he needs to, and he has that bond with Nicole F. If Nicole can get in Memphis’ ear, Ian may be able to escape the block. I worry for him, though, as my pre-season winner pick HAS won before, and isn’t as tight with the Cody, Enzo, and Memphis’s of the season to deflect that target. Praying for him to survive. With Janelle and Kaysar there, I think he can hide for a little while longer. Let’s hope.

12. David Alexander- I have to say, I think Kaysar and Janelle will be the biggest targets this week, with Ian as a backup backdoor plan, but David seems like someone who could end up in the line of fire strictly for feeling like so much of an amateur. He only played a few weeks last season, and most of that time was spent as an already-evicted “Camp Comebacker.” It’s clear from the feeds that David doesn’t know the game as well as he should (or he’s playing dumb, which may be brilliant strategy). I like David a lot, but he does seem to be a bit behind the game right now, and doesn’t seem to be tight with many people. It could be strategy to lay low, but I worry that some people will target him because A) they don’t know how dangerous he could be later in the game and B) he is essentially the least “All-Star” of the All-Stars. I could see him getting a stray bullet nomination or even eviction if worst comes to worst.

11. Kevin Campbell- Oh Kevin…I had high hopes for Kevin, but he didn’t impress me very much with his week one performance. He did become a tad whiny and complainey (granted, yes he was on the block), but I wish he had campaigned without taking everything so personally. I will commend him for campaigning, which I think really saved him in the end. He made a bond with Cody, but I’m not 100% sure how much I buy Cody agreeing to it. Going forward, Kevin may very well see himself as a pawn, but I don’t think he’ll go home anytime soon. I think there are just way bigger fish to fry in the house, and Kevin serves no threat right now, especially since his read on the house is behind. He’s scrambling for alliances to trust, and no-one except for Nicole Anthony seems to be tugging, which puts him in danger, but doesn’t make him an immediate threat.

10. Nicole Anthony- Nicole seems to be really getting along with everybody well, continuing to be a gem of a human being. I worry that she’s not in many TIGHT alliances with the people in power, but there really isn’t any reason to get rid of Nicole. She’s not the best at comps, and isn’t a super huge power player. With Kaysar, Janelle, Ian, and even more unpredictable players like David and Kevin in the mix, I just don’t see Nicole getting the stray bullet. The only reason she’d go home is if they want to take a shot at one of Janelle’s allies, but I don’t know why they wouldn’t just go for Janelle in that sense. I hope she survives. Next to Ian, she’s the person I’m rooting for.

9. Bayleigh Dayton- Bayleigh wasn’t a huge figure in the strategy talk last week, but she has solid bonds with both Tyler and Da’Vonne. I think she can float for a little while. My only worry is if anyone tries to make a move against Tyler and knock out his friend from BB20, but I don’t think that’ll come anytime soon. She’ll be okay. She’s doing a really good job, and I actually like her a lot more than I did on all of BB20 so far.

8. Da’Vonne Rogers- Da’Vonne is exciting to watch, as she’s so charming in diary room sessions, but also has great social skills. I worry that her read on the game is slightly off, because she’s not necessarily as informed as everyone else, but I do think she is able to assess many scenarios well. Her and Bayleigh have the potential to do lots of good damage in the house, but laying low seems to be working for her right now. She seems to have Nicole F on her radar, too, and I think we’ll see that relationship unfold (for better or worse) as the season progresses.

7. Nicole Franzel- I think everyone from here forward are pretty secure and safe, having good relationships with Cody and/or Memphis (one of Cody’s right hand men). Nicole should be more of a target, but Cody has her back, therefore Memphis does too. She’s a previous winner, so she SHOULD be on people’s radars, but not this week. I do think she needs to quit playing so emotionally, as it is standing in the way of creating meaningful bonds (at least from what I’ve seen on the feeds). If she can cool down a bit, I think she’ll be a good ally for people to have. She’s definitely not my favorite, but I can’t deny that having Cody on her side puts her in a good position right now.

6. Christmas Abbott- Is Christmas a threat? Not really. Is she a priority to get out right now? No. Is she on the season? Yes. Has she been shown much by production? Absolutely not. Do I think she deserves to be there? Eh, probably not. Do I hope she starts to prove herself? Yes. That’s about all I have to say about Christmas. She’s no threat to anyone right now, I don’t see her being in any danger.

5. Tyler Crispen- Tyler is on EVERYBODY’S good side. If he can avoid winning HOHs, he’ll make it far. But the minute he has to send one of his “final two”s home, he’ll be in the same position as last time he played. Sigh. Tyler, what are you doing man??? Regardless, I think he’s okay with Memphis as HOH. Hence why he’s this high. But don’t let the high ranking fool the fact that he is making some similar mistakes as last time that could very well backfire if he doesn’t maneuver it right.

4. Dani Briones- Dani seems super solid. I don’t know if anyone has her on her radar, and she seems to be one of the tighter people to Enzo and Cody, who are close with Memphis. I do think Dani has potential to make it very far this season, and laying low is exactly the right thing for her to do, especially when Janelle, the other historic female comp beast, is gaining a target and taking all the hits.

3. Enzo Palumbo- Enzo has a great grasp on the relationships of the house. Everyone seems to love Enzo, and even though he won the veto, people still aren’t looking at him as a threat. Good for him, because I love the Meow Meow and always thought he was a dominant strategic force. The great thing about Enzo is, as good as he is strategically, he’s equally charming socially. And now he’s winning comps. He might be a triple threat this time around, and if he’s able to make final three again AND actually win final HOH, he may get his confetti on finale night.

2. Memphis Garrett- Memphis is HOH, so he’s obviously high on this list. I think Memphis has a good relationship with his alliance members, but I don’t see him doing a good job appeasing some of the lower numbers or outsiders. I think Cody did a good job making friends with almost everybody, whereas Memphis seems selective. This is why he isn’t number one. But still, I think Memphis is going to be pretty well protected in the weeks to come, especially if he makes some good bonds with this HOH. Having Keesha out of the house improves his longevity too, as they can’t be seen as a threatening duo. I’m interested to see what he’ll do with his HOH this week, just hoping it doesn’t come at the expense of Nicole Anthony or Ian.

1. Cody Calafiore- This may as well be a second HOH for Cody, as he is in a “Commission” alliance with Memphis. I put Cody at number one because he also has amazing relationships with others in the house, specifically Nicole F and Enzo. He even has a “Low Down Mance” with Kevin. He really played a good first week, with his only hiccup being revealing too much to Kaysar and Janelle to cause them to play in the Safety Suite comp. But even if Kaysar sensed that Cody was coming after them, I still think Cody has enough backup to secure his safety for a little while longer. I think Cody may make a deep run yet again, and while I do wish he took a bigger risk and went after one of the bigger threats in week one, I think taking out Keesha (a loyal number to Janelle and Kaysar) was about the next smartest move he could make. He’s safe.

So it looks like Cody is running the house with Memphis and Enzo right by his side. I think the only TRULY vulnerable people this week are Janelle, Kaysar, and Ian for their threat levels, David for his unpredictability, Kevin for being an easy pawn, or Nicole Anthony for being a number for Janelle. I think, in an All-Stars season, the most likely target should be one of the bigger threats: Kaysar or Janelle. Given their track record, I do think Janelle will emerge as the more threatening of the two, and I could see her going home if she or Kaysar don’t win veto. I’d be heartbroken if it’s Ian this week, as he is a possible backdoor I’m sure, though I have faith that my pre-season winner pick will survive AT LEAST a few more weeks. Then again, I picked Analyse last year to win it all so…
