Survivor S37 Power Rankings (Top 10)

Nov 27, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageThe Davids just pulled off one of the greatest moves in the history of Survivor. Sure, it’s frustrating that there are so many twists in this modern era of Survivor, but when they work so perfectly together, it makes for some entertaining tv. And now, the only twist left is an idol in Christian’s hands (but there will probably be another one hidden). Dan had been getting a bit annoying, being pouty and playing very emotionally, but I did feel bad since nobody knew an Idol Nullifier was in play. But then again, it makes for an interesting dynamic where all the Davids are tight together (or so we think), Alec and Kara flipped to vote Angelina (with Alison seemingly on board with it too), and then Mike and Angelina at the bottom. Remember when Mike sided with Angelina to boot Lyrsa? Probably sucks to be Mike right now. Keep in mind, this is a double boot episode. 2 immunities, 2 tribal councils, 2 eliminated castaways.

10. Mike White- Mike had been a favorite of mine for some time, but I’m getting a bit frustrated with him. He wanted for so long to make some big moves (he did boot Natalie, remember?). Sticking with the Goliaths is absolutely fine, but after expressing interest in working with the Davids early on, he now seems wishy washy. I think his alliance with Nick could’ve had potential, but the lines have probably been drawn and cut any chance of that happening. I think Mike is most vulnerable, because he’s on the bottom (like Angelina), he’s wishy washy in terms of who he’s said he wants to work with, and he’s also still likable enough to win if he gets to the end.

9. Carl Boudreaux- Carl’s big move came. Now what? Carl seems to be someone who could go out around this point in the competition now that his big move has been made. His edit has been smaller than everyone else’s, and while the Davids seem tight, it looks like Gabby and Carl may have some conflict at camp. If the Davids can secure Alec, Alison, and/or Kara, then they may sacrifice one of their own, and Carl seems like that person. Carl had one big storyline revolving around his nullifier. Now that it’s out of play, Carl’s journey feels complete enough that an elimination would not surprise me.

8. Angelina Keeley- Hurricane Angelina is coming…oh she’s coming. But it shouldn’t be as easy as this. She does seem like an easy boot, which is EXACTLY why I think she’ll survive this episode. She’s not a threat to win anymore, she really doesn’t have an alliance to threaten anyone, and she isn’t winning challenges. She’s exactly the person they need to carry through to the end.

7. Christian Hubicki- Christian has an idol, yay. However, Christian told people about his idol. This could work for or against him. Right now, he’s safe…but with a double elimination, he could easily play his idol in the first tribal and be voted out quickly in the second. His name keeps showing up on people’s voting parchments, so you can never be truly safe if you’re Christian.

6. Alec Merlino- Alec jumping over the high step in the immunity challenge may be his proudest accomplishment in this game. Or maybe having the option of working with both the Davids and the Goliaths with little to no blood on his hands. That’s a cool accomplishment too.

5. Kara Kay- Kara was in danger being so tightly associated with Dan. But now, I think she’s in one of the best positions of her entire game. She has no more Dan to magnetize her target, and she has new tight bonds with Alison and Alec. She isn’t the strongest in challenges, but not weak enough to be expendable. I think Kara has finally found her “in” and if anyone in that middle bunch is going to be targeted, it will be Alec. Also, yay for Kara for telling people about Dan’s idol, further proving that you can NEVER tell anybody about an idol.

4. Davie Rickenbacker- Davie’s idol play two weeks ago could’ve put a giant target on his back. But now, Nick and Carl have played advantages too, so they share the threat with Davie. Davie seems pretty solid to me, and should be fine going forward, especially now that there will probably be another idol hidden and Davie has a very strong chance of finding it.

3. Alison Raybould- Alison had her vote stolen, but I don’t think that was Nick’s way of targeting her. I think Nick was merely trying to piss off the least amount of people, and didn’t think Alison would mind. It’s true, because it looks like Alison is going toe to toe with Angelina next episode. I think she realized this week that she needed to work with the Davids, and I believe her and Gabby will finally join together this week.

2. Gabby Pascuzzi- The men of the Davids seem tight (Christian, Nick, Davie, and Carl), which may seem to show Gabby as the outlier. But Gabby is the one who is tightest with the Goliaths. She is the bridge for Alison and others to come over to “the good side,” so she is the key in holding this alliance together. I know she seems to be playing in the background, but she is the messenger the Davids need to pull the few Goliaths over. I think she’ll be okay, especially if she and Alison finally team up.

1. Nick Wilson- Nick stole Alison’s vote, so he is starting to show his gameplay a bit more. But I still think he’s on very few people’s radars for a target, and it seems like those Goliaths that aren’t even working with the Davids (Angelina, Mike) still trust him enough. He’s likable and he makes some good alliance names. I think Nick is still en route for potentially one of the cleanest Survivor victories in recent memory. He needs one more big move before the finale, and he may just sweep it.

The top three stays intact because I believe Nick, Alison, and Gabby are the biggest contenders to win it all right now. I think Christian could win, he just has to make it to the end. Davie could win too, but I feel like he’s much more of a character on this season than he is a hardcore game player (though he is my favorite and I hope he makes some moves and wins it all). This week, we’re getting two eliminations. Elimination one may be an easy one, and we lose someone like Mike, but then we may see the Davids self-implode (all good things come to an end, after all), and of all the Davids, Carl seems to be the most vulnerable.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home 1st- Mike White

Going Home 2nd- Carl Boudreaux
