*Darkness fills the woods. The moonlight shone through the woods that surround the small town of Willowdale, Washington. Thereâs almost silence in the woods. Almost. A fit woman in her early 20âs jogs and breathes in and out as she follows her usual route late at night to tire herself out and get her daily amount of steps in. But without her knowledge, she is being watched*
*The woman, listening to her music, hears a snap of twigs from behind her. She stops and swiftly looks behind her. Her heart starts to pound when she sees a man in the shadows. She sees pale skin and a toothy grin with fang-like incisors showing. He was dangerous, she could sense it*
*Her heart now starts to race as the man starts to walk towards her*
*Her adrenaline kicks in as she rips her headphones out of her ears and her legs start to pump and she sprints away, further into the woods. The man watches as she flees. He grins*
*The woman kept running. Her panting increased as her heartbeat was pounding, her instincts knew she was in danger*
*The woman ran towards the shine of the new moon, as if the light was guiding her as it lit up branches that she could trip over, she carefully manoeuvred over them whilst still in sprint mode. The smell of pine fills her nostrils*
*The woman quickly stops dead in her tracks. Sheâs suddenly on a long winding driveway. The woman frantically follows the very long stone paved driveway. After a few minutes of her legs sprinting as fast as she could down the driveway, she finds a large house. A manor to be exact*
*Sheâs safe. The woman, earphones dangling by her feet, walks up to a large iron gate. On a plaque reads âStakewood Manor Est. 1867. She screams out for help. Catching her breath, a child comes off a swing on the front yard and walks up to the iron gate*
Jogger: âHey! Girl, please help me! Thereâs a man after me, let me in!â
*The girl just presses her nose to the iron gate and inhales, as if she was smelling the sweaty jogger*
*Suddenly the man grabs her from behind and bites her neck*
Jogger: âAHH! Get off me! Help!â
*The jogger stares at the child, whoâs just watching the event unfold. The Jogger starts to feel weak and then SNAP*
*The Joggerâs neck is broken*
*The man drains her of her blood and soon the little girl sees the jogger go limp and her eyes roll to the back of her head. The man drops her corpse on the ground*
Child: âMmm...humanâ
*The child smiles, showing two small fangs*
.SCENE 2.
*The golden rays shine through the leaves of the tall pine trees that contain a hidden Manor, far from any road where the Stakewood family can live in peace*
*Andy Stakewood wakes up to hear the kettle boiling. He goes into the kitchen where Theo and Amelia are sharing a kiss.*
Andy: âReally guys?â
*Theo smiles and pours hot water into two cups of instant coffee*
Amelia: âMorning Andy, how was your sleep?â
*Before Andy could finish, Charles walks into the kitchen*
Theo: âSorry dad, I didnât think you would be up early todayâ
*Theo realised he forgot to make Charles a cup of coffee*
Charles: âI heard someone close to the house last nightâ
*Theo and Amelia exchanges glances, both unsure*
Andy: âMaybe the Wolftails?â
Charles: âIâm not sure. Where is Madison and Aphrodite?â
Amelia: âAphrodite is in town I believe, shoppingâ
Charles: âMadison? Sheâs always awake before I amâ
Andy: âIâll check on herâ
*Andy climbs up the creaky stairs in the 19th century styled manor he called home. Andy has talked to his parents about renovating, but they said not until Charles has passed, as he helped design the manor*
*Andy climbs up to the first floor, past the bedroom door thatâs locked, since his older brother no longer lives with the family after being banished. Andy reaches Madisonâs door and knocks loudly. Through the door he hears a loud yawn*
Madison: âIâm coming!â
*Andy smiles as he hears small footsteps walking to the door. Madison opens the door and Andy notices something on her lip*
Andy: âWhatâs that?â
*Andy is unsure what it is*
Andy: âMaddie, is that blood?â
Madison: âNo silly itâs chocolate!â
*Madison quickly wipes the smudge off her lip and runs downstairs, she feels guilty she lied to her brother*
.SCENE 3.
*Itâs just before lunchtime. Miles away from the Stakewood Manor, lies a large log house on the other side of Willowdale, where the woods never sees the sun and the moon is more defined. This home belongs to Dexter Wolftail and his family, a family of Werewolves*
*Dexter is watching a movie with his wife, Ryelle, curled up as a fireplace is roaring, keeping the home warm and cozy. Marcus is lying on a rug mat beside the fire, as if he was a humanâs pet*
*In another room, Emmanuel and his girlfriend Brooke Fishmonger are lying in bed. The two were arranged to be married next year, as a law of the Willowdale Council of Inhuman*
Emmanuel: âItâs been a whole month since we first got togetherâ
Brooke: *smiling* âI know, I got you somethingâ
*Brooke sits up and grabs a present from under the bed, as she looks back at Emmanuel, heâs holding a ring, with a Pearl in the middle and a small shell on either side*
Emmanuel: âI got you something tooâ
Brooke: âOh my god itâs beautiful!â
*Brooke slides the ring on her finger, it fits perfectly*
Brooke: âI love it, now open yours!â
*Emmanuel uses his teeth to rip the ribbon open*
Brooke: âBabe donât have to be so animalistic!â
Emmanuel: âI literally turn into a werewolf on a full moon, I canât exactly change thatâ
*Brooke watches with excitement as he takes the lid off*
Emmanuel: â....an army dog tag?â
Brooke: âItâs got your information on it, with âLove Brookeâ at the endâ
Emmanuel: âYeah itâs uh...coolâ
Brooke: âOh my god you hate it!â
Emmanuel: âNo I like itâ
*Brooke falls back and her head hits the pillow*
Brooke: âI canât believe I got something you didnât like!â
Emmanuel: âBabe it doesnât really matter what you got me, this has a lot of thought into it. Iâm not a huge dog tag kind of guy but itâs a bit funny. I just really care about youâ
Brooke: âAw, I love youâ
Emmanuel: âI love you tooâ
*Brooke checks the time*
Brooke: âOh shit, I need to head back to mineâ
Emmanuel: âDonât go yetâ
*Emmanuel kisses her*
Brooke: *smiles* âOkay, ill stay a bit longer, depends how long you lastâ
Emmanuel: âOh no, you might not leave until tomorrow!â
*Brooke laughs and they start to make out*
.SCENE 4.
*Downtown in Willowdale, in an alleyway, two people are seen hugging*
Aphrodite Stakewood: âIâve missed you!â
Jeremiah Wolftail: âI know, I know. Iâve missed you tooâ
*Jeremiah is in his 20âs but he looks almost early 30âs. He has a lumberjack style, red and black flannel, boots and jeans. His arms are thick and dark hair covers most of it*
Aphrodite: âOne day we need to tell our parents. We canât keep this a secret forever you know?â
Jeremiah: âWhy the hell do we not get to choose. I love you. I donât want to date a fish or a witch, I want youâ
*Jeremiah hugs her tightly then they let go. Jeremiah notices Aphrodite holding a small brown bag*
Jeremiah: âWhatâs In there?â
*Aphrodite starts to blush*
Aphrodite: âOh, just some things, I bought some earphones, so I can listen to music in my roomâ
*Jeremiah wonders why she doesnât show him, but he doesnât want to pry*
Jeremiah: âI better head home soon. Iâm thinking of booking a motel sometime next week, we could have a romantic night together. Just like when we first started seeing each other*
*2 YEARS AGO*
*The four families: Stakewood, Wolftail, Caster and Fishmonger were holding their annual Masquerade Ball*
*Jeremiah spots a woman in a royal blue and gold dress and a white and gold lace mask*
Jeremiah: âMay I ask for a dance?â
Aphrodite: âOf courseâ
*Aphrodite follows Jeremiah as they start to Ballroom dance slowly*
*As they turn, Jeremiah catches a glimpse of his father, Dexter, frowning in disapproval*
*Jeremiah ignores it and they continue, after a while, Aphrodite rests her head on Jeremiahâs not-as muscular chest*
*PRESENT*
Aphrodite: âText me!â
Jeremiah: âI will!â
*Jeremiah walks away, with Aphrodite going the opposite direction*
.SCENE 5.
*Madison is in her room, playing with her doll, when she remembers last night*
*LAST NIGHT*
*The joggerâs eyes rolls to the back of her head and her body goes limp. The man is holding her and drinking her blood almost as if he was dehydrated*
*The man looks at Madison as she stares at the dead body, curious. Itâs the first time Madison has seen a dead body before*
Man: âWant a taste?â
*Madison knows itâs not a good idea, but her whole family drinks human blood, but sheâs only had animal*
Madison: âUh, that might be a bad thing. Mummy never has let me drink human blood beforeâ
Man: âSweetie thereâs no harm!â
*The man starts to drag the joggerâs corpse to the iron gate. Madison can smell the blood much stronger, itâs sweet and euphoric. Madison starts to crave the joggerâs blood*
Madison: âCan I have some please?â
Man: âOf course....Madisonâ
*Madison smiles as the man lifts the neck up to her face*
Madison: âThank you, Uncle Davian!â
Davian: âNot a problem Madisonâ
*Davian grins as Madison exposes her fangs and bites on the jogger and drank ravenously, to the point where blood started dripping down her chin. Davian looked at the Manor and continued to grin, and pulled the finger*
*PRESENT*
*Madison was holding the doll when she looked at the dollâs neck. Suddenly, she was starving for more*
.SCENE 6.
*Aphrodite walks into a public toilet and locks it. She pulls the box out of the small brown bag. It reads: PREGNANCY TEST*
Aphrodite: âHere goes nothingâ
*Aphrodite gulps before pulling her pants down and removing the test from the box and starts peeing*
Aphrodite: âI vomited this morning but I wasnât a fan of last nightâs dinner. Please donât be positiveâ
*Aphrodite waits nervously until the test turns positive*
Aphrodite: â...oh shit!â
