Night 1 Auditions Notes:

1. ****LET ME START OFF WITH THIS: I was debating whether or not I wanted to continue my blog series this season, but I ended up deciding to try it out. Please bare with me tho if some of these are posted late, because I am going through a lot in my life and I'm trying to sort it out. Thanks :) ALSO, if you were curious, MaKenzie Thomas (S15) won The Voice All-Stars (Seasons 11-15). Sorry I didn't post a blog about it :( *****
2. Not a bad first audition night. Honestly I thought almost all of them were good...but not too many STANDOUTS.
3. With that being said, Maelyn was the clear standout. I loved every second of her performance. Her voice is so clear and smooth and incredible, and her high notes were magical. I loved her.
4. Kim definitely wasn't *the second best* singer of the night, but I really enjoyed her performance because it was something original. She has a REALLY good MC voice, but we'll just have to see if her singing voice can hold its own.
5. I really liked Lili. I thought her performance was very laid back and vulnerable. She really caught my attention and had me smiling throughout her whole performance.
6. Matthew's voice is incredible. I am really excited to hear him further on in the season, as I feel like he will climb my rankings. I think I just wanted a LITTLE bit more from his performance, but other than that, his performance was essentially flawless lol.
7. Rizzi had some really good parts of her performance, but also some shaky parts. I'm not sure she'll really make it far, but I enjoyed her audition.
8. Gyth was pretty good too, as he added some grit to that performance, but it's just not the type of singer I'm looking to cheer for per se.
9. Lisa is gonna be great, I already know it. Her audition was OKAY, but you can tell she is gonna tear up the stage later on in the competition. I'm ready.
10. Karen had a good voice, and it's always nice to see a spanish performance, but she didn't really WOW me at any point. I was just left thinking..."that was pretty good."
11. Trey's voice was kind of generic, and I thought his performance was okay.
12. Jimmy has potential, but there was a lot that was going on in his performance that needs to be worked on lol. Maybe Adam can help him out.
13. Fuck The Voice for bringing back the comeback stage again ^_^.
