Night 1 Auditions Notes:

1. Welcome back to another season of The Voice, and my 10th anniversary of making these blogs lolol
2. Overall, I think it was a good first night.
3. Brooke was insane. I can't say anything bad about her...her audition was literally perfect. I already see her in the finale.
4. Chris was really good too. That was the best cover of Try a Little Tenderness that has ever been on the show and it was nice to actually hear some Otis in his voice!
5. LMAO who knew a white guy named Lucas could have so much soul. He killed it and surprised everyone. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us. I think The Voice finally found someone who knows how to balance their falsetto correctly, and I'm super excited. He should've gotten more than one chair.
6. Ok, so there was a Youtube comment that summed up Esera perfectly. It said "great example of a really good singer that doesn't know how to sing." His breaths were obviously a big issue, but he has a really good voice, and with some training, he could be dangerous. Sadly though, I don't see him going far. We shall see!
7. Shi'Ann has a very powerful voice, obviously, and it is clear that with age, she will only get better. As for now, I don't think she's QUITE ready, but like Esera, with some training, she will be dangerous. Another "we shall see" contestant.
8. Dave will prob make it far because of his Youtube popularity, and he has a good voice, but he is a bit too generic for me.
9. Brandon has a really good voice, but he was a bit pitchy in some parts of the song. I don't see him making it far, but he has a good voice, nonetheless.
10. Janice started off really shaky, but she killed it at the end. She is for sure going to be the powerhouse of the competition. If she makes it past battles, I think she can go far. A lot of powerhouse singers typically start off slow on The Voice.
11. Mitchell Lee was literally a more boring Barrett Baber lmao
12. I don't like the new celebration sound/lights for a 4 chair turn. Like....wait until the performance is over to do the celebration!!!! It distracts me from the singing!
13. Glad Miley is back as a coach, and JHud seems to be doing well so far! Can't wait for the next episode!
14. Also, I can't wait for this season to inevitably tank like every other season :)
