yea i was in school and i was sick so i was going home so i was sitting in the office and saw it on the news but i didnt know what was going on. then my mom picked me up and my school went on lockdown :O
i was like 5 years old... i cant really remember, i didnt know about 9/11 till like i was 10, watching the news, thinking about the poor people that got killed, and what happened, then i knew it was from 2001... i was sad that day....
i was at my friends house after school, came back and saw it on the news. i remember seeing a woman screaming about a huge gash in her leg, that really shocked me :|
2nd grade :( i thought a random plane just crashed on accident until i went to my neighbors house l8r that night, and they had it on the news and i found out it was an attack.
god bless america and the brave heroes.
I legit teared up the other day in school when a firefighter did the pledge :(
I was in 5th Grade...I watched it on the news with my dad before I left for school. The my 5th grade teacher talked about it with us in class that morning.
I was also in school. It wasn't until the day after that I really understood what had happened because that was when I found out that someone that my family was close to had been killed in the attack. To this day, I still miss him very much, and I'll never forget what happened.
U was in 6th grade.
I didnt really understand what was going on...though I remember an announcement going on about turning the TVs off cause it was making students sad.
And then I saw my mom was home when I got home from school which was rare, and thats when I fully understood the events of the day.
Its really saddening to think of all that went on and that it was 10 years ago...but at least it's made our country much more patriotic and appreciative of the freedoms we do have.
6th grade. End of English class our teacher told us something serious was going on and our next teacher would explain to us more. I got to my next class and all our teacher did was turn on the news and we saw everything.
I was in the 9th grade and getting ready to go to school. Everyone watched it in the cafeteria at school.. I remember a student yelled, to an East Indian teacher, "there's your dad" when Osama B.L. was on the tv screen.. she left the room crying. That made me angry :\ 9/11 brought on ignorance to people who were muslim or appeared to be muslim to ignorant people..
i was a kid watching sesame street then it was all over the news i was mad as hell back then coz someone fuck up my show i thought it was just some odd movie although every time i go to any channel it was featured so yeah
finally, a VALID top Blog. Hmm. I was in the second grade like you. I LIVE in New York, and my friend's close relative died in 9/11. My heart just goes out to those who passed, their relatives, and friends.
At walmart, while my sister was at school, I was only 3, with my mom, she saw something on the tv showing the twin towers, and then we left, we got to waalmart, her dad called her and told her, the US was under attack, she left her buggy in the middle of the store, and we quickly left, and went and got my sister.
In 2nd grade, still was living in Ireland at the time, and i came home and the news was on, on every single TV i had no clue what was going on and my whole family went to church the following day :) R.I.P <3
I was at school, grade 1 I think, and we just went on with our day as per usual. Seriously. I guess my the staff just didn't give enough of a fuck to let us out.
i was in 6th grade, in my science class, the teacher turned on the tv and we saw the live news coverage, we didn't leave school early but it's all we watched the whole day.
My dad was in New York on a buisniss trip. September 10th he called me and told me that he had an inportant meeting in the North Tower the next day. On September 11th I was at school and my principal walked into the calassroom and tried to explain what happened to us. I put together 2 and 2 and realized that my dad was in the tower when it was attacked. That entire day all I did was cry and even that night I cried myself to sleep. The next day I was called to the office. The principal handed my the phone and told me my dad was on the line. My dad told me that his meeting was moved to the next day.
I was in Kindergarden. I remeber getting picked up from school that day by my dad (which was weird because I always ride the bus home) and he told me about what happened.
