Day ONE: Withdrawal Apr 29, 2010
So I'm on my "Tengaged Break" and as usual, I don't get past day 1 and I'm having some major withdrawals. Part of me wants to join a game, part of me doesn't. My mother told me NOT to change anything I do on a regular basis, but I don't think she was talking about Tengaged, but Tengaged is a part of my life, something I do on a regular basis.

Should I join a Rookies or should I just stick with my break?

Random Thoughts Apr 28, 2010
My last Rookies' win gave me enough T$ to give me red. Yay!

owee...so you've got veto. It's a game. Get over it.

I'm taking a break...definitely...due to my mother's recent diagnosis. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

So far I have a 98 average in both of my classes in college and I want to keep it that way.

I wish my daughter would let me sleep past 6 am.

Trust me, I will be back...my next goal is to get brown, and then black, and then enroll in a Stars.

My Mother, My Hero Apr 27, 2010
First I want to say thank you to everyone who offered their prayers and sympathy for my mother during this hard time.

My mother got her diagnosis today.

She has stage 3 breast cancer :(

This gives me more of a reason to leave tengaged for a little while. I need to pick up the slack while my mother gets her treatments. I was planning on taking a mini-break anyway, but this just cements the fact that I NEED to take a break and take care of my priorities, that being my daughter, my mother, school, and I need to start working again. I will jump on from time and write a blog, but my group game will be put on hold, and I will not be participating in any games.

Please say a prayer that will give my mother the strength to go through chemo and radiation. She has beat cancer before, but now this is a whole new ballgame and she needs all the strength she can get.

This is going to be a tough battle.

:(

I'm sad.

Most traumatic moment in your life? Apr 25, 2010
What was the most traumatic moment in your life? (So far)

Mine happened when I was pregnant with my daughter. My mother had this gray and white turtledove named Stormy. I'm not a big fan of birds, so whenever my mother asked me to feed him, I'd put up a stink because the damn bird would peck and hiss at me.

So this particular summer day, my mother asked me to feed the bird. When I went down to feed the stupid bird, and when I looked in his cage (this is the part that gets kinda gory) and the bird was dead, in a horrible way. The bird's insides had exploded.

Even though I hated the bird, being 6 months pregnant and very sensitive, I burst in to tears. My mother cried too, and seeing this horrible scene, it was stuck in my head for the longest time, and from time to time, I still think about it.

It was really traumatizing.

I could go in to more detail, but it is very gory.
We still haven't figured out what happened to the bird to make it explode the way it did.

Has anyone else had a traumatic moment like this?
I'd like to hear about it :)

Do you have children? Apr 25, 2010
I'm curious to see how many tengagers have kids, and how many, if applicable. If you don't have any children, do you want to have them someday?

I have one daughter, she is 18 months old and her name is Piper. She is the light of my life. I never really thought about having children until I got pregnant with her. She was a complete surprise and honestly, the best surprise I've ever had. She changed my life in so many ways.

So what about the rest of you? Kids or no kids? Do you want any? How many?

Think Pink! Apr 22, 2010
I am writing this blog not just because my mother is about to do battle with breast cancer, but because it is breast cancer awareness week.
Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in the US, and is the most common cause of death between the ages of 45-55 years old.

The one cool thing I haven't seen in the shops, and I don't even know if it's possible, is a pink ribbon for breast cancer. Although I'm trying my hand at designing, I'm still a novice and I can barely make a dress or a shirt, much less a ribbon. So I'm asking anyone who knows how to design to PLEASE make a pink ribbon.

If not for the millions of women (and men!) who suffer and battle breast cancer, than for my mother.

My mother found three lumps in her breast and she has begun the testing to determine what stage she is in. As it is right now, she has a 75% chance of surviving based on the size of the lumps. The biggest one is 3 cm. The other two are small, a little bigger than a pea.

So please, tengaged, think pink! I hope to see someone take this seriously and make a pink ribbon for their shop. I will personally do anything to see this done, just ask! Please don't make me beg...
