Not looking for sympathy but she was my last living grandparent and was 91 years old. I wasn’t that close to her besides the last 10 years or so but regardless it’s my dads mom so that’s sad.
My moms parents died when she was little so I never knew them. My dads parents divorced before I was born. So I had a grandfather/step-grandmom and then my grandmother. My grandfather and step-grandmom both passed away about 14-15 years ago so it’s just been my grandmother there for awhile.
I always get sad because it seems like so many people have relationships with their grandparents and it seems so fun and authentic. And idk maybe I wish that I could’ve had that grandma that I could’ve shared personal things with that my parents wouldn’t get. Regardless, she’s in a better place now and not suffering
