Stars Finals! This is my third ever finals and I am really proud of myself, because I was only nominated once, and this is the first time I have made finals without going up three times. I was able to prevent myself from going up again after surviving my first and only poll for 11th.

I got 5th in stars recently and was upset about getting so far and then falling short, and then I won the stars raffle, something I've never done in my entire time on this site, so I took it as a second chance and was determined to get to the end.
The cast filled and was a big mix of frequent stars players, stars beginners, people who are not well liked on the site, and a couple popular people who slipped in hoping for an easy win. I was lumped with the popular boys, and my biggest hurdle was to avoid going up with Christossss or Ratchett, two people I share a lot of mutual friends with, and who are probably considered overall much more likable than me.
The early part of the game I tried to focus on getting out some of the trashy people in the cast, mainly Sarah48. I was very vocal about trying to nominate her as soon as possible, while many people in the cast were saving her for an easy poll beat. It took several rounds to get enough people to lock her in, but eventually I pulled it off.
My nemesis the first half of the game was Absolutely. While I was targeting Sarah, Absolutely was leading the charge in getting me nominated. Myself and Ratchett were made a set day 1, but managed to avoid going up. I was a set with Zoon for 13th, but avoided going up due to several people splitting to save me.
I had strong social relationships in this game, but it was also very difficult because my three main allies christossssmmabatlokoamolefe and eilish all wanted each other out. I tried to keep all three of them in the game as long as possible for my protection. Bryan had connections to the people who were targeting me early on, and I needed him to protect me from being nominated. Dylan prevented me going up as well.
My biggest fear was being nominated with Chris, something I thought the cast might push for, but having multiple people who wanted me in the game prevented that set from being a real option, because my other allies were afraid to lose me if he and I went up together and I lost.
I know it's literally impossible to please everyone when you're playing a game, and I have definitely pissed off multiple friends this game, and while I do feel badly for that, I made it clear from the beginning I was playing for myself, and myself alone. I was here before anyone else, I didn't join this game as a prop for anyone, I came to win, and at the end of the day, as hard as it was sometimes to make decisions knowing they would upset someone I cared about, it's a game and we all joined for ourselves.
I protected my shields in the game as best as I could, and worked on not being nominated a second time. Going into the final four I had a big choice to make, whether or not to let Bryan go unnominated. For me personally, I would LOVE to play a game and get to the end without being nominated. But I walk in with a big redheaded target on my back every time, and I've never succeeded in avoiding nominations altogether. So once I go up in a game, my attitude slides to "well if I have to experience nomination, so does everyone else." Any game I have made it far enough to have an impact on the endgame has resulted in no unnominated players in finals.
Had Bryan and I BOTH been able to bypass fourth and advance straight to finals, I was considering making an exception. But I knew that Bruno was too loyal to Bryan to nominate him. So as much as it sucked to betray a friend, I decided it was not fair to me to leave my fate in algo's hands (something that's never gone well for me!) and lock in Max and Bruno, knowing there would be at least a 50% chance I would go up. I made a decision for myself, because I wanted to advance straight to finals. I've never made final 4 and not gone up for 4th, and I was determined to control my own fate and I succeeded.
TL;DR: I had three main allies who did not get along, and I used them all as shields to keep myself safe. I'm really proud of myself and the game I played, the amount of work I put into this game paid off, and I earned my spot in finals, and with only one nomination.
