✨ I work in higher ed (college/university) and graduated this last year with my masters degree! Very grueling but my proudest achievement!
✨I’m a born and raised west coaster and currently live in sunny California! ☀️ I’m obsessed with the outdoors, so living somewhere I can chill @ the beach or hike in the mountains is absolute heaven for me.
✨ If I were to be a Pokémon it would be Morpeko. I vibe with the electric rodents (they’re so high energy like myself lol) I’m also a Gemini, so the dual personality feels fitting.

Daydream - I looooved this song, it was a great pop song and I was feeling the vibe from the second it began. I’ve heard this before a year or two ago, most likely when you showed me but I haven’t listened to it more than a handful of times. I’ve had it stuck in my head all week though, great submission!
So Much Love - This song was super cute! I’ve never heard this song before lol even though it’s pretty old? I love the pre-chorus chorus so much, but the verses didn’t give as much as I wanted which is what caused you to just barely fall short of my top spot. LOVE this song now though!!

Daydream - I was excited when I saw The Aces cause I started listening to them for my job recently and I liked a couple of their songs. This one was so good! Very upbeat, still stuck in my head, and I’ve been listening to the album today!
So Much Love - I really liked this song! I didn’t realize it was released in 2001 :0 but then listening again I was like oooh totally early 2000s. The chorus I really really loved, and the vocals were great. A VERY close second!
And now, for the bottoms of the week. We had some differing opinions towards the bottom of the rankings, and three of you actually tied for the second lowest spot of the night. CarolinaSteele, Yawnha, hayden9102, and VanitySmurf…You are the bottoms of the week. Your song choices weren’t bad by any means, however they just were overshadowed by the other choices. However, one of you submit a song that unfortunately doesn’t compare to the rest of the songs we were given this week.

Broken - I enjoyed this song quite a bit, especially the female singer. It’s not my usual style of song but I liked it!
Never Forget You - This song is okay, but I used to hear it on the radio ALL the time. And usually I’d change the station.
Back At One - I was digging this submission! Definitely a different sound than the rest of our submissions but I really liked this one.
Dear No One - Tori Kelly is an interesting submission! Her songs don’t really catch my attention in any way, I did not dislike this choice BUT I felt like it was against too many hits to really stand out this round.
Zack:
Broken - I don’t normally like this style of music so I think I was quickly turned off from the male vocalist. Which is unfortunate cause I did like the female, but overall it was too dreary for me.
Never Forget You - This felt like a very weird submission for either two categories. I could quite figure out if it was a love song or a break up song or both? The song itself isn’t bad and I like it, but I do find it to be a little cookie cutter.
Back At One - This was too slow for me? Idk I have been liking 90s R&B more lately so I was enjoying parts of it, but I wasn’t wowed. Not bad! Just not amazing.
Dear No One - Tori Kelly has good vocals, but I just find her songs to always fall a little flat. I enjoyed the lyrics, but I just quickly forgot about the song after listening.
