Finale night is here, and I have a pretty clear cut prediction. Let’s go.
3. Stephanie Cmar- Stephanie, when you think she’s out, comes back and surprises. She could very well do that here, and in any other season, maybe she’d win. But with Bryan Voltaggio in the mix, and Melissa (the dominant beast of this season), I just can’t imagine Steph beating both of them. She’s a great chef, but sometimes has trouble with decision making. She has won more than Bryan, but hasn’t exactly been outnumbered in trips to the bottom (outside from maybe Malarkey). She has the highest uphill battle, but it could be anyone’s game.
2. Bryan Voltaggio- I can’t believe Bryan is going to come in second AGAIN on Top Chef, but that’s my prediction. Like his original season, and like Top Chef: Masters, Bryan will be the bridesmaid yet again. It just might be part of his Top Chef legacy. Of course, because of this statistic, he may be given the title, as he has worked so many seasons for this, but given his track record for THIS season, I just don’t see Bryan being that representative winner. He’s great, and there’s a good chance he could still win, but given his overall arc on this season, I just don’t see it.
1. Melissa King- I just don’t think there’s any stopping Melissa. She continues to dominate in wins, and I just don’t think there’s any reason to believe that she’ll misstep this close to the end. Of course, last season, it happened to Eric, but I just feel like Melissa has this in the bag. She’s focused, cool, calm, collected, and I just feel like she’s the most likely to make the meal of her life.
This is a great final three, though I feel like Melissa has just had this in the bag for some time. Especially with Gregory and Kevin gone (the two biggest threats of the season in my mind), I think she has an even better shot. Voltaggio should be a bigger threat, but his track record this season just hasn’t supported it. If anything, we may see Melissa get second, but I just can’t see her coming up too short. I don’t know. It’s gonna be close, but I am pretty confident here. Lol, remember Joe Sasto?
