9. Janelle & Britney (Friends; Big Brother)- Janelle & Britney have made a tight alliance with Elissa & Rachel. But let’s get this straight…both of these teams performed pretty poorly in this leg. AND, between the two teams, Rachel & Elissa are probably stronger since Rachel competed on the race before. So is this the wisest alliance? Unfortunately, no, and by process of elimination, I have them being sent home as a result.
8. Rachel & Elissa (Sisters; Big Brother & The Amazing Race)- Like I said earlier, the Big Brother alliance doesn’t seem like the best move. Janelle & Britney don’t offer enough right now, and Rachel’s attitude on her own is a lot to handle. I worry that this is a sinking ship. Ever since they went against Team Fun, it seems like their momentum has slowed down and down, and with Britney & Janelle as the only ones who have their back, I could see them going out back to back.
7. Chris & Bret (Friends; Survivor)- Sure they’ve got a speed bump ahead, but lots of teams have come back from a speed bump, and had Bret & Chris been wiser in decision making, they wouldn’t even be in this spot to begin with. That being said, they’re still in major jeopardy. They were really weak out there, especially in the dance challenge, but I think this is the toughest spot they’ll have to encounter for a little while.
6. Corinne & Eliza (Friends; Survivor)- Corinne & Eliza had a surprisingly great leg this week. They were the only Survivors who wisely decided to fish (c’mon Chris & Bret, it’s FISHING…that’s what SURVIVOR is all ABOUT), and it paid off. They made it to the finish line ahead of a lot of the rest. I think they may be out sooner than their placement on this list, but right now, they’re in a really good spot.
5. Leo & Jamal (Cousins; The Amazing Race)- They took a major plunge and almost ended up having to take the non-elimination leg for themselves. But I don’t think the Afghanimals are far from done. This was a misstep, but they’ll recover.
4. Colin & Christie (Life Partners; The Amazing Race)- I know, I know. They’ve been consistently at the top. But I also know little to none about them, and think they’re the least exciting of ALL these teams. So that’s why they’re in the four spot, not higher.
3. Nicole & Victor (Dating; Big Brother)- I love how they’re growing each and every week. Of all the teams that aren’t race teams, they seem to have the most control and calm of all the teams. Calmness is the number one thing in this race, and they are extra calm. And Victor’s voice? Lovely!
2. Tyler & Korey (YouTuber Friends; The Amazing Race)- Tyler may be the best person on camera that Amazing Race has seen in a while. I love them both, and think they are playing a wise game rather than a fun game. The fun move is to go dancing. But the smart move is to fish. It may not be as exciting, but it let them stick around and propel their games forward. So well done boys, you are the number two contender to take it all right now, and I’m happy that U-turn last week didn’t crush the momentum.
1. Becca & Floyd (Friends; The Amazing Race)- Team Fun absolutely obliterated that leg. If this leg stays in Vietnam and never gets on a plane, Becca & Floyd will stay ahead, adding to their momentum. Until all of the teams end up in the same place, Becca & Floyd will continue to dominate. I’m happy to see this happen, and am rooting for them to do well. They’re just adorable.
I still think a Race team will win this, with Team Fun and Tyler & Korey jumping from a U-turn to the top two spots of the week. These two are my favorites and I think if anyone can beat them, Nicole & Victor could. I suspect that we’ll lose some Survivor and Big Brother teams soon, and this newly made Big Brother alliance seems to be the weaker ones here, with Bret & Chris on the edge of elimination as well.
