I was so excited to see Brother come back, only for him to go right out the revolving door and head back home. I think the contestants were very rude to Brother, so I wish he could return again to kick a lot of their butts. This ranking will be how I think the remaining 10 contestants stand at this halfway point of the competition based on how they’ve done all season.
10. Sara Bradley- Sara had a really bad week, and it didn’t help that her attitude was one of the sorest ones toward Brother of the group. If she gets invited back next season, I’m sure she’d jump on the opportunity, so it doesn’t make sense that any of them would be teaming up against him. But here we are. And now, Sara is at the lowest of my rankings. Sorry, Sara. She claims she’s got the advantage because she’s from Kentucky, but she got way overconfident and put out a bad dish. She’s at the bottom for me.
9. Brian Young- Brian’s Restaurant War performance won’t go unacknowledged. But maybe that was his shining moment, and he’s not destined to stand out again.
8. Justin Sutherland- Justin wasn’t on the bottom again, but he’s still in a weird position where I still don’t consider him a contender after Restaurant Wars. I also just think he’s a tad too arrogant. Sorry, I hope he gets more likable as it goes on.
7. Michelle Minori- I think Michelle is starting to slip back again into the invisible edit spot. They gave her some weird edit about yoga, which made me think she was going home (screen time out of the blue often means a win or elimination). She just isn’t standing out, and I don’t know why I’m not fully on board with her as a contender.
6. Brandon Rosen- Brandon has been fine, but there’s just something about him that I think makes him more vulnerable going forward. I’m not sure. Right now, there are many more fish to fry than the chocolate factory boy.
5. Kelsey Barnard Clark- Kelsey is receiving lots of time on the screen (I think I’ve opened with this line for her for a few weeks now), but she was also one of the heavier opposers to Brother being there. She’s gotta make sure she’s making good relationships, because if there’s another team challenge, I don’t know if Kelsey could sink that ship. But, she put out some delicious food, so there’s that.
4. Adrienne Wright- Adrienne puts out killer food each week, and I’m so happy she’s past her first week slump. She and David made two great dishes that didn’t make the top three, but probably should’ve. I am really liking her chances.
3. David Viana- Like I said with Adrienne, David put out an awesome shrimp dish as well, and both of them received praise. I think all of these top four are also the most likable four of the bunch, and I hope David continues making people smile. Maybe a point lower than last week because of his guilt over Nini’s elimination that seemed to mess with his head a bit.
2. Eddie Konrad- Eddie has been doing amazingly well. He is becoming the fan favorite, for obvious reasons. I hope Eddie continues to be great in these challenges and gain a little more confidence. Sweaty Eddie is coming through, and he wants the win. Now he has to show the judges that.
1. Eric Adjepong- Eric finally got a win, and it’s a long time coming. He just comes across as the type of guy who should be dominating all of these challenges. He’s built for it physically, and seems to have the right mental attitude. He finally showed what he came to do this week, and his dish looked like one of the best of the season. If he keeps this up, he’ll be unstoppable.
I think our top four right now are pretty clear: Eric, Eddie, Davie, and Adrienne, with Kelsey close behind. I just can’t pinpoint which of the rest stand out for me, but I think all of them could be in for a rude awakening should Brother return again in the future.
1. Eric (+3)
2. Eddie (-1)
3. David (-1)
4. Adrienne (-1)
5. Kelsey (+4)
6. Brandon (+4)
7. Michelle (+1)
8. Justin (+3)
9. Brian (-4)
10. Sara (-3)
Biggest Rise: Kelsey, Brandon (+4)
Biggest Drop: Brian (-4)
