Dancing With The Stars S27 Power Rankings (Finals)

Nov 22, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageWhat the actual hell? Bobby is charming, Sharna has never won, Bobby has the fan base, and his freestyle was his best dance of the competition, I guess. BUT, there is no way he should have won over Milo, Evanna, or Alexis. I don’t care if he had a fan base…anyone watching this finale would have realized that there were better dances, and after the night’s performances were over, it’s impossible to say that one of Bobby’s dances was the best or favorite of the year? Right? Sorry…I’m just really disappointed. As someone who has had Bobby lower than Grocery Joe on most occasions, I just can’t believe he made it to the finals…let alone won. But I’m happy Sharna got her mirror ball. And Keo got to do a freestyle. I just really hope the judges get it together next season and save their perfect scores for ACTUAL perfect dances. Here are the rankings for the best and Bobby..I mean, worst…of finale night.

8. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess (1st Dance)- Yikes. Hammer time in the finals? This was laughable, but at least he did better than Joe probably would’ve done with a dance like this. The actual Hammer time stuff was oddly okay, it was the partnered dancing that was just pretty rough.

7. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess (Freestyle)- Our winner? Okay….He basically walked around, jumped on platforms, and got lifted. He was so desperate, he used Grocery Joe in his own routine. Listen, it was charming. It was fun. It was his best dance. But this was miles and miles behind anything the other three did, and the fact that he won is the biggest shocker in DWTS history, as well as the show’s biggest crime. They’ll need a good cast next season to keep me watching.

6. Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten (1st Dance)- The tutu stayed on! I’m happy with how Alexis did this season. I think she could’ve gone bigger in general, but this was still pretty great for her and Alan. The connection and actual emotional connection to the music was what stood out to me the most, and she should be proud of the way she went out.

5. Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten (Freestyle)- The lifts were absolutely terrific, but there seemed to be something missing with Alexis’ freestyle. Also given how awesome Alexis’ jive was last week, I expected them to do something bigger or more energetic. But there were some awesome beats in this one, and props to the DWTS crew for building those gigantic rocks! It really made for a beautiful freestyle.

4. Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe (Freestyle)- I feel like there could’ve been more in general, but the content there was was absolutely terrific. Evanna showed all the personality she could, and it really juxtaposed well with her first dance. I especially loved the big, flashy stuff the most.

3. Milo Manheim and Witney Carson (1st Dance)- Milo’s first dance was a lot of fun. Paired with some great vocals, he was able to truly just dance his heart off and have a blast. He moved with so much effortless energy, and while his limbs sometimes got a little out of control, he was able to really finish strong and deliver one of the most memorable of the night.

2. Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe (1st Dance)- Evanna came to win, and she almost had it. She did a great job in her repeat dance, showing the same impressive tango skills as before. I loved the sharpness of the dance and the way Evanna stood out amongst the other female dancers. This was one of the best of the night, easily.

1. Milo Manheim and Witney Carson (Freestyle)- Okay, this was one of my favorite all time freestyles. Packed with so much content, impressive umbrella choreography, lifts, and lots of water. This was Milo’s best of the competition, and probably the best dance of the season. This probably should’ve sealed the deal if you ask me.

Now I know, for future seasons, never to split the vote between two favorites. I split my votes between Milo and Evanna, but I should’ve gone all in on one of them. Oh well. I have a feeling Milo, Evanna, Alexis, or Juan Pablo could come back for DWTS All Stars 2 and absolutely make the finals, so I’ll just have to hope for that day to come.
