Dancing With The Stars S27 Power Rankings (Round 9)

Nov 6, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageWe live in a world where Grocery Store Joe is in the final six of Dancing with the Stars. This is crazy. I’m just glad no more women were sent packing because Alexis and Evanna are probably my two favorites (along with Milo). Glad to see DeMarcus go because I think he was getting worse, and seeing John go was bitter-sweet (I did predict it, but he is just so nice and genuine).

10. Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson- I think it’ll be difficult for Joe to top what he did last week. But he definitely gave a dance that was one of HIS best this week. Emphasis on “his.” It’s leagues away from what the rest did.

9. Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess- Bobby’s smile has never been my favorite sight to see. While this was hands down better than last week’s “slow” routine, I couldn’t get behind this and still don’t know why Bobby is in our top 6. Sigh.

8. DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold- The judges liked this, but I didn’t. It felt like because the song was so slow, DeMarcus had to amp it up to keep it interesting. Instead, I was a bit bored, and surprised that it garnered some 9s. I guess his dancing is good, but it was the same old stiffness I’ve been getting a bit tired of this season. While I think he was a better dancer than John, Bobby, or Joe all season, I’m glad he went home sooner rather than later.

7. John Schneider and Emma Slater- John is such a heart-warming soul. His dancing was a bit sloppier in context of some of the others dancing tonight, but he obviously had a hell of a time and kicked the night off on such a charming note. He stayed in time, stayed in character, and delivered his best dance so far. And that fiddler? So incredible. I wish he was around longer than Bobby or Joe.

6. Team JoeDown- Yikes. It’s just so hard to have a team dance with Joe and not watch Joe. He was really off from the rest of them. But I can’t hold that against the team as a whole, who shined. Especially Alexis.

5. Team HayNow- I liked the 9 to 5 routine. It’s hard with team dances when there are weaker dancers than usual, but I think John and Bobby were able to stay with it this time around. I would have liked to see a bit more cohesion and united dancing, but everyone seemed in it. I especially have to commend Evanna for blending in beautifully with the pro-women…from a far angle, I couldn’t tell which of the pros was Evanna. That’s awesome.

4. Milo Manheim and Witney Carson- Milo was great tonight, and he and Witney continue to kill it. I think Milo is stronger in character pieces, but this showed how he could simply dance and impress. And i was impressed.

3. Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke- Here’s the thing…Juan Pablo is incredible and moves like a pro. But I can’t put this at the top (not even above Alexis, who got a point lower than him). That’s because the choreography seems to be a bit too easy for Juan Pablo, and while the Charleston is difficult, what Evanna did just seemed far more impressive than what Juan Pablo did. Sure, 10 means no flaws. This had no flaws. But I want to see Juan Pablo kick it up a notch and do something extra dramatic since he’s been going big and bold for some time now. Still a huge fan.

2. Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten- Alexis was SO good tonight. I am such a fan of her spark and youthful nature, and think she brings so much life to the show, especially when a bunch of guys slowed the night down. She is an absolute gem, and I swear to God, she better survive next week’s elimination over Bobby and Joe.

1. Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe- Evanna was the standout of the night. So beautiful in every step, and so incredibly connected with Keo. This is shaping up to be a magical (hehe) season for Evanna, and Keo may be the closest to a mirror ball in all his seasons of the show. I absolutely adored this.

The Team Dances show a clear separation between top and bottom. Bobby or Joe. Someone needs to go. Vote vote vote. Speaking of voting…if you have the time to vote Grocery Store Joe to the semifinals of DWTS, you have the ability to vote in the Midterm Elections. Do it.

PREDICTION:

Going Home- Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson
