Didn’t see Lindsay’s elimination coming. But I predicted Matt. He had a strong week, but a bunch of duds. And this was a dud. Moving along!
15. Shanika Patterson- I just can’t ignore the stats. She’s either the best or the worst. How many more times can she be on the bottom?
14. Gerron Hunt- Gerron was on the bottom, then climbed to the top. Gerron is incredibly hard to predict. But if you look who has been on the bottom most, it’s him and Shanika.
13. Chelsea Sargent- Chelsea hasn’t been shown in a while since her disastrous team performance. But now she was shown…in the bottom. I worry for Chelsea.
12. Ashley Mincey- Ashley has been on the slow decline. A bad week when Juni was sent home, then falling in the dead middle for the other two challenges. It just wasn’t a great two weeks. Strike three could be it.
11. Samantha Daily- Samantha surprised me this week, pulling out a strong dish for her team. I still don’t buy her legitimacy in the competition, but she surely isn’t in the bottom spot.
10. Farhan Momin- Farhan hasn’t been on the bottom for some time. But he’s really plateaued as I have forgotten he’s really there. Sorry buddy.
9. Ralph Xavier Degala- Ralph has gotten the worst screen time. AND it SUCKS. I like Ralph. But the camera doesn’t I guess.
8. Ryan Cortez- I misjudged Ryan. He was really solid in his food, and the camera kept coming back to his dish. And it looked dang good. Ryan will never be a fine dining chef. But his comfort food is freaking delicious.
7. Taylor Waltmon- Taylor took a bit of a hit, and almost got eliminated. Scary. But she’s fine. She’s FINE. She’s fine? Wait, now I’m second guessing.
6. Bowen Li- Bowen got his mojo back. But he’s still not the front runner he used to be.
5. SJ Yun- SJ getting more screen time, good. His food, even gooder. Better? Gooder? Ah, whatever. A beast in the kitchen for sure.
4. Cesar Cano- Cesar always leaves me with a smile. He’s easily Chef Aaron’s favorite, and in competition with Julia for the best of Aaron’s team (maybe the best of the competition, we’ll see).
3. Emily Hallock- They tried to knock Emily down with less time to cook her meat. But she bounced back and gave a big F U to the people who tried to defeat her. She’ll be in the final five.
2. Mark Ingraham- You know what Mark? You keep rocking it. Just keep doing your thing. Because right now, you and Julia are the ones to never be in the bottom or on a losing team. I can’t believe he’s number two. But it’s true. Mark, it’s you. Congrats. Now don’t disappoint.
1. Julia Danno- Like I said with Mark, Julia has never been on the bottom. And her team has never lost. She’s amazing and I really think she has longevity in this competition. I like her and think she defies the odds when she needs to. Yay Julia!
I think we finally have contenders. Julia and Mark have consistency (hence their spots), Emily has guts, Cesar has heart, SJ has skill, and Bowen and Taylor have screen time. The rest are vulnerable, but the most vulnerable is probably my girl Shanika. The safest bet right now.
