Big Brother S20 Power Rankings (Pre-Game: Top 16)

Jul 1, 2018 by PowerRankings101
imageBig Brother 20 is off to a nice start. A good, competitive cast of characters, all with the same amount of BB experience (no Paul). There are some favorites I have, but these rankings are strictly based on their place in the game and how I think they’ll do. The two on the block, Steve and Sam, are actually two of my favorites, so it’s a shame one of them might go home. Here are my rankings.

16. Steve Arienta- Unfortunately, like many older contestants in the past, Steve is looking to be the first one gone. He’s not oblivious enough like Kevin or goat enough like Jerry. He’s a gamer, and it’s obvious. The undercover cop may need to put on his sirens and do something fast, or he’s doomed.

15. Sam Bledsoe- I LOVE Sam. Sam is an instant favorite. Unfortunately for Sam, Big Brother kind of screwed her over with the robot twist. She just won’t be able to make the same kinds of relationships. I think America has her back, and think she’ll survive this first week. But going forward, she’ll need to make serious bonds, and I just don’t know if she’ll be too late to the party. I love her though.

14. Bayleigh Dayton- Bayleigh was someone I didn’t like in the pre-interviews, but I was a fan of once the season started. However, she made some mistakes in talking back to Tyler during the challenge. I think that could end up being the nail in her coffin down the line, and having a tight bond with Swaggy, a divisive contestant for many, doesn’t help either.

13. Faysal Shafaat- Faysal is one of the strongest guys here. You know who the next strongest are: Tyler, Brett, and Winston. Who’s not in an alliance with Tyler, Brett, and Winston? Faysal. I think he’s the person people will target if they want to safely chip away Swaggy’s army.

12. Angela Rummans- Angela was one of my favorites based on her pre-interviews. But she did give me vibes of an Amber, or a Brittany Martinez, or a Becky. Someone who knows they’re competitive, but makes it known too early on. Angela should hope her alliance holds, because not making a deal with Swaggy didn’t help her either. I could see her going out at the same point those favorites like Amber and Becky did. Right before the jury.

11. Angie “Rockstar” Lantry- Oh Rockstar. She’s not going to really be a threat to anybody (I don’t think). If one side of the house dominates, she could find herself in danger, but I don’t see a need to get rid of her. At least not now. Definitely need more time to see how she’ll do.

10. Kaycee Clark- I like Kaycee. I think she probably has the makings to be a challenge beast, but coming in last in her challenge may have minimized that target. I could see her going with the flow for a little while, and like Rockstar, I don’t see a need for anyone to get rid of her.

9. Chris “Swaggy C” Williams- Swaggy is obviously coming out strong from the gate. This week doesn’t really matter as much as next week does. If Swaggy’s side gets the advantage, Swaggy may be a very rich man at the end of the summer. If not, he’ll be out in the next three weeks. So right now, he’s dead in the middle, for his fate is literally up to which side of the house wins HOH next.

8. Rachel Swindler- Rachel seems to be pretty savvy in the game, but c’mon…she’s a Vegas entertainer named Rachel. Remind you of anyone? I don't know... the winner of BB13? That screams threat, and I could see her getting in trouble if people see her emerge as one. She’ll have to tone it down early and get some trust before she can play a dominant game.

7. Haleigh Broucher- Haleigh is someone I could see floating this season. She was a big part of convincing Swaggy to save her, but I don’t think she’ll be the one in charge of anyone’s eliminations. That being said, I don’t think she’ll go home early on. She’s just not super threatening.

6. Winston Hines- Winston annoyed me early on, but he does have a good position right now. He’s the strategist of the trio of Tyler, Brett, and himself. As we saw with Enzo, Hayden, and Lane, the best player got third place. I could see Winston coming short of his two boys because he’s just the better player. And an inevitable showmance to come will surely put a bigger target there.

5. Tyler Crispen- Tyler is HOH. He’s smarter than he lets on. But being the first HOH is usually a big target. Unless he plays a similar game to Hayden Moss, but it’s almost too on-the-nose for anyone to let that happen. I could see him going far (I don’t think he’ll be the first enemy of Swaggy’s army). But I don’t know if he’s a winner.

4. Brett Robinson- Brett, Winston, and Tyler could be the Brigade of this season. That’s not too much fun to watch, but it’s the best move for them. And Brett is probably the savviest player of the three, and has the best shot to win of the three of them. But then again, who’s going to let another brigade or chill town run the house?

3. Kaitlyn Herman- Okay, sue me. I like Kaitlyn. She’s entertaining to watch, and it seems like she’s gaining lots of trust with her auras. Why vote out the lady who might leave bad Karma or Voodoo in the house, right? I could see her going all the way to the end as a vote, but I think people won’t take her seriously enough to give her the win.

2. JC Mounduix- I love JC. He’s hilarious and has so much charm and personality. He knows that alliances early on never hold, and that may be what takes him deep in the competition. Like the HOH comp, nobody was worried about him, and had JC not “thrown” it, Tyler and Bayleigh may have taken each other out and JC is HOH. JC knows what he’s doing, and I could see him being a dark horse this season.

1. Scottie Salton- If I have to pick anyone as a potential winner, I’m picking Scottie. He knows this game inside and out, and he’s already winning people over with his little never-been-kissed story. I think he has the potential to lay low until some of the big dogs take each other out. Then, I see Scottie really making a case to win. He knows his place, and self awareness is uber important. Also, he almost beat Swaggy by a hair. He’s not bad in comps.

So it’s early on, which means I’m probably way off with this whole season. It’s shaping up to be Brigade 2.0 (Tyler, Brett, Winston, others) vs. Swaggy’s Army (Bayleigh, Faysal, Rockstar, others). The people right now that stand the best chance are the ones in the middle. The Scotties, the JCs, even Kaitlyn (who while is on Swaggy’s side, still has ties with mostly everyone through her yoga and meditation). Those are going to be the ones who slip by, and at the end of the day, I’m going with the superfan for the win (maybe Rachel will kiss him if he wins). As for who goes first, it’ll probably be Steve or Sam, and I’m just putting too much hope on Sam surviving this week. I love Steve, but it’s just not his season to win, ESPECIALLY with Tyler as HOH.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Steve Arienta
