After just 2 days into the games, only 10 tributes remain.
Pretty soon, we will have our Victor.
But in order for one tribute to win, the others have to die. So let’s kill some more off, shall we?
-The Career Girls-
Sparkle has emerged from her hiding spot for the night. It was another bedroom.
Sparkle decides to try and find a different level of the bunker to stay on so she can stay away from the stronger tributes, specifically the only other career that is still alive.
She finds the staircase and makes her way up to cornucopia (There is no staircase downward, the only way to get to another level is by using another entrance). Suddenly, she feels as if she’s being watched... as if she’s being followed. She turns around and sees nothing. She then continues walking.
And then... someone tackles her to the ground.
Dani, the surviving member of the career pack, has been following Sparkle, getting ready to attack.
Dani: Well hi! It’s been a while since we’ve spoken, huh?
She then pulls out a knife.
Dani: Let’s catch up!
She prepares to plunge the knife down into her victim, but Sparkle is able to grab one of her arrows and stab her attacker in the arm.
As Dani is stunned, Sparkle takes the opportunity to tackle her. However, Dani and Sparkle have matching strength, and therefore go into a struggle.
They don’t even notice that they’ve stumbled into one of the bunker’s entrances until they both fall down the stairs at the same time.
They find themselves in the industrial level. They continue to fight, throwing kicks and punches, seemingly forgetting that they have weapons.
However, this changes when Sparkle stabs Dani with another arrow, this time in her leg.
Dani is unable to stand for a moment, and Sparkle considers killing her off. But then, she hears people in the distance, and decides it would be best is she just left while she has the chance.
Sparkle: It was nice catching up. We should do it again sometime.
Sparkle returns to cornucopia, and then enters yet another entrance in the bunker.
Sparkle is now in the Cafeteria level.
-Industrial Area-
Ji and Hayden have camped out all night in what looks to be a boiler room. They are having a discussion about their lives outside of the games.
Ji: So... you’re a drug addict?
Hayden: N-no! I’m not a drug addict... I just did drugs... a lot.
Ji: That’s what a drug addict is!
She laughs.
Hayden: I only did it when I was stressed out... like now.
Ji: Well... sadly there aren’t any drugs here.
Hayden: Yeah...
The two live out the morning when they notice something floating down the staircase.
It’s a package from a sponsor.
Ji: What’s this?
The package has the words “District 9” on it.
Ji: I think this is for you.
Hayden: What? Me?
Hayden opens the package and finds... a joint.
You read that right, a joint.
There’s also a note in the package that says “If this is your last rodeo, I thought you might wanna have one final ride.” There is no name on the note, meaning the sponsor is anonymous.
Hayden: I-I don’t know what to say...
Hayden’s moment is cut short when He and Ji hear noise coming from afar.
Hayden: Hello?
Ji: Shh! If there’s someone out there we don’t want them to know we’re here! We need to go! Grab your drugs and let’s get out of here!
Hayden and Ji then leave.
-The Kids and the Criminal-
Tycen and Agatha found themselves in the Cafeteria after they ran off yesterday following Patricia’s death.
Agatha: I don’t like this place... it’s scary.
Tycen: I don’t like it either... we need to get out of here.
Agatha: Where’s the entrance we came from?
Tycen: I don’t know, bu-
Suddenly... a Molotov cocktail is thrown in front of the two kids.
The fiery mess that generates from the impact barely misses the children, and they both scream, terrified.
Emerging from the smoke is Dunkin. He is holding a knife.
Dunkin: Well look what we have here! Two lost little pigs! And the butcher is coming!
The children start running away from Dunkin, but Agatha trips.
Dunkin wastes no time catching up to her. Tycen continues running as he listens to Agatha’s horrifying screams, and then begins to cry as he hears them go silent.
BOOM!
Tycen continues running when he finds himself trapped at the end of the hallway.
Dunkin catches up to him, and begins lighting another Molotov cocktail.
Dunkin: It’s time for the butcher to make some bacon!
Tycen is bawling, terrified for what is about to happen.
Dunkin prepares to throw the Molotov cocktail when...
Mystery Voice: HEY!
Dunkin turns around after hearing a voice behind him.
He turns around to see Sparkle holding her bow and arrow.
She fires the arrow, and it hits Dunkin’s already lit Molotov cocktail.
The alcohol in the bottle spills all over Dunkin’s clothes... and since he already lit it... they catch on fire.
Dunkin is being burned alive by his own weapon.
Tycen runs past Dunkin before he becomes completely on fire, and then he runs off with Sparkle as they hear Dunkin screaming in pain. Suddenly, the screaming stops.
BOOM!
Sparkle and Tycen run for quite some time.
They both stop for a minute, and then Tycen recognizes who just saved him.
Tycen: You... you’re that girl from District 1! You... you’re a career!
He begins to back up as Sparkle makes a face of disgust in response.
Sparkle: Oh, relax. I’m not gonna try to kill you. I’m not a psychopath like the others. I’m not obsessed with these games like they are.
Tycen then stands still.
Tycen: Th... then why did you volunteer?
Sparkle: Cause my mom doesn’t want me to live my own life... she makes me train for this all the time even though I tell her I don’t want to be a part of it! She’s such a bitch!
Tycen: So... you’re like Patricia.
Sparkle: Who?
Tycen: The District 10 Girl. You don’t wanna be here.
Sparkle: No one wants to be here except those bloodthirsty volunteers, kid.
Tycen: I guess that’s true.
Sparkle collects her things.
Sparkle: Well, it was nice chatting with you, but I gotta get going.
Tycen: What?! You can’t just leave me here!
Sparkle: You can’t just come with me either! I don’t do alliances.
Tycen: Then how have you made it this far?
Sparkle: Cause I’m smart.
Tycen: Please... I can’t survive by myself.
Sparkle: One of us is gonna have to die at some point if either of us wanna go home. If you come with me, we’ll just be setting ourselves up for heartbreak.
Tycen: I don’t care! I don’t wanna die! If you really aren’t a psychopath, you’d let me go with you!
Sparkle seriously thinks about what to do for a moment.
She then remembers... she’s not like the other careers. She actually has a sense of passion.
Sparkle: I must be out of my mind... alright. Fine. But you have to listen to me at all times. If you don’t listen once, that’ll be the end of things.
Tycen nods in agreement. The two then run off together.
-The Bedrooms-
Matt, Janine and Kaleb have been hanging out in the bedroom levels all day. They haven’t had much trouble.
Kaleb: Excuse me... I’m gonna go to the bathroom.
Kaleb begins walking down the hallway.
Matt: Why can’t you just use the one in our room?
Kaleb: The plumbing doesn’t work, and you’ve already used it a couple times! I wanna use a clean one!
Kaleb then goes off.
He’s gone for quite a few minutes. Eventually, Matt and Jadine become curious.
Matt: Where did he go? Is he still issuing the bathroom?
Jadine: I can go check on him. It shouldn’t be too hard to find him.
Matt: Just be careful. We don’t know who might be lurking around the corner...
Jadine: Of course.
She holds up a dagger and smiles. Jadine then goes off to search for Kaleb.
Matt then waits for a few minutes.
...
...
...
BOOM!
Matt hears a cannon going off.
Matt immediately becomes concerned and goes to look for his allies.
He searches room after room when he notices an open door.
Inside the door, he sees a woman’s corpse.
He walks closer, and sees that it’s his girlfriend.
Jadine is laying on the floor dead, her throat slashed.
...

...
Matt rushes into the room after realizing who the corpse belongs to.
However, he suddenly stops when he sees a bunch of pieces of paper spread out all over the floor, each with a red light under them.
He realizes that these were placed here on purpose. He then starts to search the room for the person he suspects is behind this murder.
And suddenly, that person begins to attack him.
...
...
...
Kaleb has a knife in his hands and attempts to stick it in Matt’s neck as a backup plan, but Matt is able to detect Kaleb’s presence and stops him.
The two go into a struggle, both careful not activate any mines.
Matt eventually overpowers Kaleb and stick’s his own knife in his own throat. As Kaleb bleeds out, Matt moves him away from the mines so his body doesn’t activate one when it falls.
Kaleb succumbs to his neck wound and drops on the floor.
BOOM!
Afterward, Matt then carefully steps over the mines to Jadine’s body, and then falls on his knees. He then starts to mourn over the loss of his girlfriend. He begins shedding tears, now feeling like a broken man.

-Later That Night-
Hayden and Ji are lying in their boiler room, unable to fall asleep.
Hayden: Should I take it right now?
Ji: What? Your joint? Don’t you think you should wait?
Hayden: There’s only a few people left... if I’m gonna die here, it’s gonna be soon. So I wanna get high for the last time while I still have the chance.
Ji: Okay, fine. Just be careful, and try not to alert our presence to anyone.
Hayden then smokes his joint. He spends some time enjoying his trip, while Ji watches in amusement.
Until... the TV in the room turns on (Yes, there’s a TV in the boiler room).
The fallen tributes are projected on the screen.
The Girl from District 6
The Boy from District 5
The Girl from District 7
The Boy from District 3
Ji: There’s only 6 of us left...
Hayden: Really? That’s sick...
Hayden is pretty high right now.
It is now midnight.
Suddenly, a noise can be heard outside of the door.
Ji: Do you hear that?
Hayden: I can hear everything right now...
Ji looks outside to investigate the noise, and what she sees makes her run back to Hayden.
Ji: We have to get out of here!
Hayden: What?
Ji: WE HAVE TO GO NOW!

And that concludes episode 3!
The next episode will be the finale of the games! It should (but may not) include 2 parts like last time. Only 6 tributes are left... which one of them will be the winner?
