KAN REALLY THINKS THEY'RE FUNNY FOR SAVING SLOVENIA FOR LAST DO THEY??? I was CERTAIN Slovenia was being robbed after ESTONIA was announced, so when Slovenia was called last I did freak out a lot. Overall, this semi had a really slow start, but by the end, I was jamming. I do like most of the qualifiers, and I'm shocked with some of those who failed to qualify, and those who did - especially San Marino. But I'll get to those in my individual reactions which are now here -
1. Cyprus
A good opener and Tamta sounded pretty good tonight. I really dislike that replay effect that they used, and I ended up laughing when it malfunctioned. A deserved qualifier!
2. Montenegro
I laughed during this performance too, but for all the wrong reasons. An actual mess. How this group even got to be on the Eurovision stage, to begin with still baffles me. I hope Montenegro modifies their selection next year to spare them humiliation.
3. Finland
I was just bored throughout the entire performance. The stage show was nice I guess, but I will never understand why everything was separate throughout the performance. Just boring.
4. Poland
Like wiwibloggs has said, this just really loses steam after the first minute. I enjoyed the beginning, but by the end, I was just bored and waiting for it to be over. Not entirely surprised with it failing to qualify.
5. Slovenia
I really cannot. You all KNOW this is my favorite song, and after the performance, I was convinced this was out. It didn't help that they wanted to save this for LAST??? My anxiety was through the roof because I didn't think they would save SLOVENIA to be the last qualifier. But when it was announced, I did freak out. I love Slovenia, I love Sebi, I love Zala and Gašper and I cannot WAIT to see this again in the final. Thank you for voting for this beautiful song Europe :')
6. Czech Republic
They were REALLY good tonight. Albert is such a charismatic singer, and the entire performance was just so much fun, especially following the previous 4 songs. So happy for this qualification.
7. Hungary
Meh, not surprised. It was very anticlimactic, especially the unnecessary pyro wall that the performance didn't need. I imagine it just got lost amongst all of the other songs, so I'm not too surprised this flopped.
8. Belarus
YES I'M GONNA LIKE IT!!! A BOP!! I was in awe during Zena's performance for being 16 years old, having that much stage presence, and also hitting all of her notes. I'm extremely happy this was able to qualify, and I can't wait to see it again!
9. Serbia
A beautiful performance and a beautiful Balkan ballad. The smoke was getting a little heavy at the end, but still a great performance and I'm happy this qualified.
10. Belgium
A song that has so much potential, but goes nowhere. I'm not surprised by this non-qualification, since the song is just anticlimactic, and the staging is a bore.
11. Georgia
I actually really enjoyed this tonight!! The stage show was great!! However, I doubt anyone really resonated with it on a personal level, which is probably why it failed to advance.
12. Australia
SO GOOD!! LOVED this performance, Kate absolutely crushed it, and everything about this was fantastic. Probably my favorite stage show this year.
13. Iceland
HATE WILL PREVAIL!!! An iconic song by an iconic band. Everything about this is great, and I love that Europe appreciated this iconic song tonight.
14. Estonia
Ew. I'm happy that at least one Baltic will qualify (since the other 2 stand no chance), but this song still isn't it for me. The one qualifier I'm not super happy about, especially since Victor did not sound good, and the song is just basic and generic.
15. Portugal
Poor Portugal. I really thought this was going to be the last announced, since it has vastly improved. However, I can see how this might've been very offputting for a lot of viewers, so I'm not entirely shocked, but Portugal deserved to qualify a lot more over countries like Estonia and San Marino.
16. Greece
What an iconic song. Not going to lie, the staging let me down a little, but I still love the entire aesthetic and Katerine's vocals are just flawless. Really happy this was able to qualify, although I now doubt this won the semi as it was called first.
17. San Marino
LOL. Everyone loves rooting for San Marino, and I can't say I'm any different. While I would've MUCH RATHER have seen Poland or Portugal in the final, this was honestly an iconic performance and everyone loves Serhat. So I'm pleased that San Marino qualified, because now we know they'll continue to compete!!

Thanks so much!! :') I knew it was between those two too, but I really thought they'd save Portugal for last since they hosted last year. They really had no reason to save Slovenia for last, but I don't question it since all I wanted for them was to qualify and it happened!!
