Slovenia 馃嚫馃嚠
LEGENDS!!! My intuition is honestly so good, I predicted the second that Joker Out were announced that they'd be my favorite act this year and here we are (same happened last year with LEGEND Amanda Tenfjord). This absolute banger just came out at the perfect time for me, as my music taste has been slowly shifting toward loving to listen to indie alternative boy bands, so I just knew this was going to be just for me. The song is absolutely sold by Joker Out and legend Bojan, whose charisma and charm just carries this song to a whole other level. The song is also obviously very catchy for me, and all the elements just work so well. The slow down before the ending, hit! Every time the chorus comes in, hit!! The guitar solo, hit!!! Singing in Slovene, hit!!!! This just works so well and is elevated by the staging and these icons and I can't wait to see how polished this looks on TV and for them to be superstars for years to come <3
Slovenia is rightfully the first country to ever be 1st in my rankings twice since I started watching in 2013 (excluding 2020 -- obviously Victoria was 1st in my rankings both years) and I am so excited to root on Slovenia yet again in my 10 year Eurovision anniversary (yikes)!!!

Finland 馃嚝馃嚠
SMASH HIT!!!!!! Finland FINALLY made the right choice in UMK after picking the absolute worst two songs I have ever heard the past two years, so I am so pleased that this BANGER was able to come out on top. Finland has truly been upping their Eurovision game lately and I'm so happy it has led to this moment. I literally love everything about this entry. K盲盲rij盲 is such a phenomenal performer who magnetizes the stage and has the performance of a lifetime. The transition to the schlager is also *chefs kiss* and really should not work, but works in a way that just heightens the song so much. This is also endlessly repeatable and is my most listened to song of the season for that very reason. I just love it all and I'm happy that most of the Eurovision fans seem to be loving it as well. Finland for the win!!!

Lithuania 馃嚤馃嚬
LEGEND!!! Monika was one of my absolute favorites in 2015, so I'm so happy she's returned on her own and without that nasty man. But this song is just so solid and such a banger. Monika performs flawlessly and the ciuto tuto's are never not absolutely iconic. Just a solid entry that I love so much and I can't wait for Monika Linkyte to follow in the legendary footsteps of Monika Liu.

I'VE GOT A BIG FAITH, MY LOVE IS MY CROWN!!!! This absolute star served so much. Does her song make any sense? Not in the slightest. Do I care? NOPE!! As long as Iru thinks she knows what she's singing about that's all that matters to me <3 This song is just so sonically pleasing to me, it just sounds so epic and the production is so solid, I can't help but love it. I already know this is going to be even more of a collapse live and I can't wait to see it happen.

The HSC girls really snapped <3 Feel like my thoughts on this kind of parallel Georgia, in that the lyrics are extremely mid, but the entire production is just top notch. The build up from the slow beginning to the explosion of sound later on just works so well for me and is such a collapse every time I hear it. And then the Armenian at the end?!?! Top tier!!! And we love the fact that Brunette wrote this ALONE!!!! That's a legend!!! I DECIDE TO BE GOOD, DO GOOD, LOOK GOOD

Latvia 馃嚤馃嚮
WE NEED LATVIA IN THE FINAL SO BAD EUROPE PLEASE!!!!! This is so so so so so solid. I'm unsure if I can articulate what I love about this song, but it's just such a high quality song. The production is just so good and it's the perfect little indie rock song that captivates me from beginning to end. The guitar solo always gives me chills and then the Latvian part at the end?! Literally a collapse. And the staging works with this so well. AH I just love this and Sudden Lights so so much and I'm desperate for this to qualify.

Azerbaijan 馃嚘馃嚳
YESSSSSSS!!!! Literally obsessed with TuralTuranX and this song so much they deserve the whole world. I initially felt absolutely nothing toward this song, but over time I started connecting and vibing with it more and more for it to currently be my most listened to song to the run up to the contest <3 There is just something so lovely about this package that has won me over so much, and I think that's in part because TuralTuranX wrote the song themselves and its such a change of pace for Azerbaijan that I can't help but root for them. I need this in the final so so so bad. TuralTuranX will always be famous

This song has recently shot up so much in my rankings, La Zarra is just hitting so hard right now. The way this song melds together traditional French sounding music with a fresh disco beat is honestly genius and it just sounds so so good. This song also pops so much live from what we've seen and I can't wait for La Zarra to absolutely obliterate the competition. Legend!!!

I have made it my entire personality that I have not liked a singular Danish Eurovision entry ever (besides 2020 </3 justice for Ben & Tan) but I guess the tides have turned this year. And the funny part is that this is typically a song I would not gravitate toward. But something about this entire package just clicked in my brain and I cannot stop playing this banger. This is my second most played song of the entire Eurovision song because it's just endlessly catchy. Reiley may not have the best live vocals which does bring this down a bit, but I am willing to overlook that for finally giving me a good Danish entry.

What a full circle moment for me. Loreen is the artist who helped me discover Eurovision 11 (yikes) years ago, and to see her as a winner contender and with this great of a package yet again has been such a treat. While I haven't listened to the studio cut of this as much as the rest of my top 10, Loreen truly comes alive performing live. She just sells this song so well with the most captivating and stunning staging that I can't help but root her on yet again. Will be intrigued to see if she comes out on top again!! She will always be a legend though!!

Dav.Jr did THAT!!!! This is just such a fresh sound coming from Malta and I love that they are FINALLY sending a self penned song, because them sending Melfest rejects was getting old. Either way, this is so so so much fun and oozes charisma, I can't help but jam every time this comes on. It's just a solid, upbeat pop track that becomes even better thanks to how charismatic and phenomenal Dav.Jr is as a performer. I need these legends in the final so bad.

This unironically goes so hard!! Yes, it sounds like it comes from 2018, but that's what makes it so endearing and fun!!! Blanka is also so funny and ended everyone in the Polish NF with ease!! I really have nothing else to say except this is a banger and has been on a loop for this entire Eurovision season for me. Legend.

From one legend to another!!! Brit pop is exactly the route that I've been begging and needing the UK to go down and I'm so happy that they are FINALLY sending a song in the genre. Mae is just such a star and sells this song so well, I can't wait to see how great and iconic this seems on the stage and I just hope that the UK continues to go down this path!!

From two legends to two more legends omg!!! This completely came out of nowhere from Austria's standard and I'm so happy that they're finally trying a new sound / direction that is working so so so well. This is just camp done perfectly, as the song is so out that it stays with you but also has an underlying message and it performed extremely well. Teya and Salena are absolute stars and I can't wait to see them bring Austria back to the final <3

Heyo!! At the very last minute I have decided to yet again post my rankings and thoughts on the acts for Eurovision this year :) I have been very busy and have been discussing my opinions elsewhere, making posting here kind of irrelevant, but I like to record my tastes and look back over the years so here we are!!! And I can't break a now NINE (yikes) year tradition...
As Eurovision is quite literally in 48 hours and I still have to edit and submit a 20 page research paper, I will not be discussing all the acts at length </3 That right will be exclusively for the top 14 and the rest will just get thrown into this one post yessssssss
Remember that these are *my* personal rankings and we all have different tastes, which is what makes Eurovision so much fun!! Plus, this year is very strong and so iconic, so just because I have a song low doesn't mean I dislike it!! Anyways, now to start...
Honestly so many of these songs are so good. Like everything ranked 30th and up is on my Eurovision playlist. Just a stellar year!!!! Will post more rankings later when I feel like it hopefully <3
