Since Semi Final 1 of Eurovision is TOMORROW(!!!), I decided to list my 3 favorite songs from national selections that didn't get selected this year!
Only really followed Melfest this year because I was super busy with schoolwork this semester, but I still listened to quite a bit of the songs from the NFs this year :) While there weren't as many NFs this year, I still feel like the selection was very strong. I'll write a little something on my three favorites then have a full ranking at the bottom!!

The Funeral Song by Victoria (Bulgaria)
Of course my girl Victoria had to make an appearance on this list. As I said yesterday, I really loved all of the songs in her selection this year as I just love her style so much. This was definitely my second favorite behind Growing Up Is Getting Old because I just love the vibe of the song, the beat breakdown, and just how interesting the lyrics are. Victoria is flawless as always and I just really connected with this.

Kelle mä soitan by Ilta (Finland)
Ugh... this loss still hurts. I'm a sucker for emotional and powerful ballads and Ilta was serving everything I love. And the fact that this masterpiece is in FINNISH?!! Makes it even better. Ilta's liver performance was also alluring and elegant and just everything about this was touching and beautiful. A shame that the Finns passed up this iconic ballad for a generic rock song, but I really hope that Ilta gets a chance to come back because she really snapped with this masterpiece. Just love everything about the song and the composition and Ilta.

Little Tot by Dotter (Sweden)
As if it'd be anyone else. Fully supported Dotterdam last year and was once again on that bandwagon this year because Dotter is really too powerful. Just everything about this exudes iconicness and I just love how Dotter tears up the stage. The song is also so much fun and just a phenomenal pop track. Honestly, cannot find any flaws in the song or the performance and I just love everything about it. While I'm still super sad that Dotterdam will not happen and that Dotter said that she won't return to Melfest, I'm sure she will stay winning because Melfest needs Dotter, not the other way around. Dotter is just a living legend who has never created or sang a bad song and always releases quality and we absolutely love and adore her for that!!
