Since Semi Final 2 of Eurovision is tomorrow, I have decided to make a prediction on what I think will happen tomorrow! Still in mourning over the loss of our beloved Albina, so I'm happy that this semi final is much tamer and easier to predict.
1. San Marino 馃嚫馃嚥
Adrenalina by Senhit feat. Flo Rida
Chance of qualifying - 90%
Don't have this as a 100% just because it is San Marino, but this song is just a phenomenal opener. Senhit owns the stage and the Flo Rida feature is iconic to say the least. Should stand out and be memorable and do not see this missing out.
2. Estonia 馃嚜馃嚜
The Lucky One by Uku Suviste
Chance of qualifying - 30%
Don't see this one happening. In the worst spot in the running order and this is just a forgettable song and performance and doesn't stand out at all. Uku's vocals also don't compare to other male soloists coming later, so I don't see this qualifying.
3. Czech Republic 馃嚚馃嚳
Omaga by Benny Cristo
Chance of qualifying - 40%
Benny's strength has always been his charisma and performing skills, but from what I've heard, the staging has stripped that away from him. As a result, I don't really think the song stands out too much and I think will suffer as a result.
4. Greece 馃嚞馃嚪
Last Dance by Stefania
Chance of qualifying - 90%
Icon Stefania should be fine. Just a solid pop track that is performed great with memorable staging. Even if the press has said that it hasn't looked *too* good, I think Stefania should be fine.
5. Austria 馃嚘馃嚬
Amen by Vincent Bueno
Chance of qualifying - 50%
One of the borderlines for this semi. I think Vincent stands out as one of the best vocalists in the semi and I feel like some people will connect with the song. If this is enough to qualify though... I'm not entirely sure.
6. Poland 馃嚨馃嚤
The Ride by Rafa艂
Chance of qualifying - 30%
Weak vocals and a messy performance and a middling song. Doesn't really stand a chance.
7. Moldova 馃嚥馃嚛
Sugar by Natalia Gordienko
Chance of qualifying - 50%
I'm really split on this one too. While I think the song is great, Natalia is not doing enough on stage or vocally to make this stand out, especially with all the other pop vocalists that outshine her in this semi. Kirkorov's name may help this advance, but Moldova also doesn't have too many friends voting here... it'll be close.
8. Iceland 馃嚠馃嚫
10 Years by Da冒i og Gagnamagni冒
Chance of qualifying - 100%
While I think the band not performing live will slightly harm them, there's also no way that this song isn't sailing through. Hope that they can perform live on Saturday!!
9. Serbia 馃嚪馃嚫
Loco Loco by Hurricane
Chance of qualifying - 80%
H-H-H-HURICANE!!! These ICONS will be bringing the fire, I am sure of it!! Feel like this should be fine and my only worry is the lack of Serbia's friends in the semi, but Hurricane is so iconic and Loco Loco stands out that I think they should be fine.
10. Georgia 馃嚞馃嚜
You by Tornike Kipiani
Chance of qualifying - 15%
Just a forgettable and bland song. Don't really see this appealing to too many people sadly.
11. Albania 馃嚘馃嚤
Karma by Anxhela Peristeri
Chance of qualifying - 60%
I feel like Albania should be fine. Anxhela is a vocal powerhouse, Albania usually thrives with songs like this, and the staging looks great from what I've seen.
12. Portugal 馃嚨馃嚬
Love Is on My Side by The Black Mambas
Chance of qualifying - 50%
Another country I think will be on the cusp. I feel like the juries will really appreciate this and with the staging we've seen I feel like the televoters may get behind this as well... we'll see.
13. Bulgaria 馃嚙馃嚞
Growing Up Is Getting Old by Victoria
Chance of qualifying - 100%
Icon. Memorable, touching, stands out, beautiful. Sailing through. Not much else to say except that this is lovely.
14. Finland 馃嚝馃嚠
Dark Side by Blind Channel
Chance of qualifying - 90%
Should be safe. Stands out after the sleuth of slower songs and is unique in the semi. Televoters will definitely eat this up too.
15. Latvia 馃嚤馃嚮
The Moon Is Rising by Samanta Tina
Chance of qualifying - 35%
Would love to see Samanta pull off a surprise qualification, especially since she's been trying to get to Eurovision for so long. I just think her song won't connect with the audience as much as the other pop girlies, and I don't think juries will like the structure of the song too much.
16. Switzerland 馃嚚馃嚟
Tout l'univers by Gjon's Tears
Chance of qualifying - 100%
Obvious qualifier. Great place in the running order, great vocals, interesting staging.
17. Denmark 馃嚛馃嚢
脴ve os p氓 hinanden by Fyr & Flamme
Chance of qualifying - 50%
Another one I have on the border. I feel like this is going to squeak in because of the running order, because it's fun and will appeal to the public, and because of nostalgia for the juries.
