Joaquin was a castaway on Survivor: Worlds Apart and was part of the Masaya (White Collar) tribe originally.
In the beginning of the game, Joaquin was chosen to be a part of an early game advantange and he picked So Kim to join him on his advantage. They chose a clue over food for their tribe and they lied about it (very poorly), ultimately resulting in So being the first person voted off. Despite losing his closest and only ally, Joaquin enjoyed safety due to Masaya going on a healthy winning streak. On Day 12, he was swapped to the New Escameca tribe. On his new tribe, he hit it off fantastically with Rodney, forming a bro alliance with him. The other tribe mates took notice, especially the OG Blue Collars, who were distrustful of Joaquin and worried he鈥檇 pull Rodney away from them and Rodney would team up with Joaquin and Tyler instead. Mike came up with a plot to get rid of Joaquin and simultaneously protect his ally Kelly on the other tribe. Thus, Mike and his crew threw the challenge, unbeknownst to Joaquin. Under the impression that the bro alliance was gonna stick together, Tyler, Rodney, and Joaquin voted for Joe. Unfortunately, the remaining blue collars teamed up with Joe to blindside Joaquin, sending him home in a 4-3 vote on Day 16, making him the 6th eliminated from the game.
Joaquin was the only white collar who was under the age of 30 during filming, everyone else was older than 30. He cast the very first vote in Season 30 during the first tribal council. He is the only white collar that Carolyn did not have a hand in eliminating. Joaquin had never seen Survivor prior to being recruited, nor did he watch the show at all prior to flying out to film.
