She had been suffering bullying for being trans for several years and now, after she was stabbed until her death, police does not think it was a hate crime.
We constantly face the fear of being hurt just for the fact of expressing ourselves and living our fucking lives and, when WE get hurt, criminals are not prosecuted accordingly.
ONE WEEK INTO 2023 WE LOST JASMINE MACK, A BLACK TRANS WOMAN, AND THIS DOES NOT STOP. I will keep raising my voice and fighting against these CRIMES and give voice to the victims that are no longer with us, because no one knows if I could be next.
