My story of being bullied didn't start until I was out of school and married. I was married the first time when I was 19, together we had 3 kids, life was good, but after 12 years of marriage we drifted apart and realized it would be best if we divorced.
I was 32 when I married my 2nd husband, who is also Manda's sperm donor as her and I call him. This is where the bullying began for me. I was punched and shoved and thrown into walls and it all started on Mother's day of 1992. This abuse continued during and after my pregnancy with Manda. I tried MANY times to take my kids and leave my abuser, but he would come after me with butcher knives, cut phone wires, do ANYTHING to stop us from leaving. It was a vicious cycle that finally ended on February 12th, 1997. This was a typical day of dealing with my abuser's anger outbursts, yelling and screaming, ect. The final straw on this day happened when he put a knife to my throat in front of Manda who was only 3 years old. I don't know what came over me but somehow that I found the strength to grab Manda, pick up the phone and call 911. The cops arrested him. He is currently in Prison until December 7, 2012. I am a much stronger person than I was when he went to prison. I don't know what will happen when he gets out of prison and comes looking for me. I just know that he will NEVER hurt me again!
NEVER LET ANYONE BULLY YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOUR AGE IS. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.
this just proves what a fighter and courageous person you are babes. You really are a great person and the way you looked out for your kids as much as you did for yourself shows how amazing you really are!
I remember that day as if it was yesterday I will never forget it no matter how much I try or even want to you didn't just save your life but mine to.I love you mommy. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world you truly are one of the best mother's ever. This made me cry.
some times it helps others to know there is a way out of abuse, i sufffered the same until a friend found out and she moved her hubby( a police man ) and his squad, outside my house with my ex's belongings.. they stayed 48hrs and after that i moved to friends, that was 2 years ago on the 21st of this month, ive now moved country and my kids are safe .x
one of my biggest, if not my biggest mental fear is of domestic violence, based on experiences from when I was younger :(
I'm so happy to know you found the strength to get out of that relationship, NOBODY deserves to be treated like that. You're an amazing and strong woman, and I hope that monster continues to keep out of your life once he is released. < 3
