Hi everybody. As of tonight, we have officially hit the 3 month mark on how long this blog has been going on. On tonight's blog I will be recapping So You Think You Can Dance.
Let's get started. The remaining contestants will be paired with completely different partners and each couple will dance 2 routines. Since Ashleigh dislocated her shoulder, she was instructed by the doctors not to dance tonight. First up tonight was Kathryn and Ryan with a Disco routine. It was good but I found that Ryan seemed a little bit stiff throughout the routine. Next up was Mollee and Jakob with a Viennese Waltz. I really couldn't figure out anything to criticize for this routine because it was so good. Next up was Ellenore and Legacy with a Contemporary routine. What was good about this routine is that even though Legacy isn't a contemporary dancer like Ellenore, this routine had a lot of intensity which is definitely one of Legacy's strengths. Since Ashleigh couldn't dance with Russell tonight, Shane Sparks' assistant took her place in the Hip-hop routine. I honestly felt that this was one of the my favourite performances of the season from Russell. This is how I ranked the couples after the first round.
1st Russell and Assistant
2nd Ellenore and Legacy
3rd Mollee and Jakob
4th Kathryn and Ryan
Now for the second round. First up was Kathryn and Ryan with a Cha Cha Cha. Their first routine was just alright but this was phenomenal. Next up was Mollee and Jakob with a Broadway routine. This was another great performance from them and I also thought that this was Mollee's shining moment of the season. Next up was Ellenore and Legacy with a Hip-hop routine. Compared to their first performance, this was not nearly as good because it seem like they were pushed to the full extent of their skills. Since Ashleigh couldn't dance with Russell in either of the routines tonight, Russell had to dance with Nakul Dev Majahan's assistant in the Bollywood routine. Even with the situation that Russell has had to go through this week, he has still been able to perform 2 amazing performances. This is how I ranked the couples overall tonight.
1st Russell and Assistant
2nd Mollee and Jakob
3rd Kathryn and Ryan
4th Ellenore and Legacy
It is really hard to predict who will go tonight but I think it might be Ashleigh and Ryan. We'll have to see what happens tommorow.
