Reality Show Blog - December 6 2009

Dec 6, 2009 by beepboop
Hi everybody. On tonight's blog I will be recapping the finale of The Amazing Race.

Let's get started. On this last leg, the remaining 3 teams headed to Las Vegas, Nevada. Meghan and Cheyne and Sam and Dan were shocked to see Brian and Ericka at the airport because they didn't know which team between Brian and Ericka and Flight Time and Big Easy made it to the final 3. I guess they don't really see each other much at the pitstops like they do in old seasons. All the teams got on the same flight to Las Vegas. Once they got off their flight, the teams had to head to the Graceland Wedding Chapel where they received their clue from an impersonator of Elvis Presley. It was very cool to hear the impersonator sing "Amazing Grace" and I think that the teams enjoyed it as well. Once they got their clue, they had to head to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Sam and Dan's taxi driver got lost on the way there which cost them a bit of time. Once they got to the resort, they encountered a Roadblock. In this roadblock, 1 team member had to rappel face-first down the side of the building and when they got to the bottom they received their clue. It didn't seem like anybody had any major trouble with that task but it looked like Sam really hustled through that Roadblock. Once they completed the roadblock, the teams had to head to The Mirage which is a resort. Once there they had to do a task that was based on The Beatles-inspired show, Love. One team member was in a bungee cord while the other team member had to fling them up in the air. There were bouquets of flowers dangling in the air and if the team member in the bungee cord got it they would receive their next clue. Brian and Ericka lost a lot of time when Ericka came so close to getting the bouquet each time but couldn't seem to get it. Once they received their next clue the teams had to head to the most famous in Las Vegas which was Monte Carlo. Meghan and Cheyne lost a lot of time when they couldn't figure out exactly which casino they were supposed to go to because it didn't say the name of the casino on the clue. All it said was that it is the most famous casino. Once they got to the casino, the teams had to count out $1,000,000 with poker chips and if they got their count correct they would receive their clue. Sam and Dan did their usual routine at the task which involved arguing constantly while doing the task. Brian and Ericka lost more time when they were the only team to get their count wrong twice. Sam and Dan got it wrong once and Meghan and Cheyne got it right on the 1st try. Once they got their clue, the teams had to head to Suite 88 at the MGM Grand hotel where they met Wayne Newton and he told them where the finish line was. When Sam and Dan got there they had to take a minute just to figure out who Wayne was because it didn't say on the clue that they were meeting Wayne Newton. Once they were told where the finish line was, they had to head to the finish line which was Wayne Newton's House at the Casa de Shenandoah. This was the order that the teams finished in at the finish line.

1st Meghan and Cheyne
2nd Sam and Dan
3rd Brian and Ericka

The minute Brian and Ericka got their answer wrong at Monte Carlo, I knew they weren't going to win so I was basically hoping for Meghan and Cheyne from that moment onward. And personally, I'm happy that they did because they were definitely the strongest team throughout this race and really deserved to win. That's it for the The Amazing Race 15. I will be back with this in the spring for The Amazing Race 16. And there is also some very exciting news that I just found out about The Amazing Race 16. For any Big Brother out there, Jordan and Jeff from the most recent season of Big Brother were apparently seen racing together on the next season of the The Amazing Race. I pretty sure some people are very excited about that. So I guess this is it for this season. See you in the spring for the next one.

That's it for tonight. I will be back tommorow with a new episode of Two and a Half Men. I didn't recap it last week because it wasn't a new one.

Good night everybody.
