Bonnie Tyler had one of the greatest voices of the whole 80s, I said what I said. Between this and Total Eclipse of the Heart (and her loose associations with Meat Loaf) it's clear she had a knack for bombast and just going as hard as possible, and she had the pipes to back that up! On top of that, this song just FEELS like a face-off submission, the level of 11th Hour desperation which she sells so flawlessly (despite literally just being about her wanting a man to date) just adds to the atmosphere.

Oh hell yeah, I gotta give it up for a Midwest king. Prince is awesome, and this is probably my favorite song of his (Top 2 anyway, it's tough to say!) Prince was a man who defied genre, who defied expectations, who just did whatever the hell he wanted and we loved him for it all the same. This song is another pretty great take on a failing relationship which is absolutely something I can relate to. It's also just FUN, which helps!
I don't like having to eliminate either of these songs because they're both so great, but that's what this is for in the first place. With that said... Moving on to the finale is...

You made it this far without going into a single elimination, and you brought your A game when you did. That Bonnie Tyler song is just goddamn fantastic.
