Mileena Stars : Day 2

4 FlamingJojo, May 7, 2023

After collecting a good 8h of sleep, before Mileena gets to have her first feast of lacroix , of this Season!
She came into the cast, hearing 5 seperate sets happening:
John/bern
Yokana/juju
Yonaka/Avenly
Sugar/Yoko
Sugar/Sonic
This cast really had cut their heads off with how they have chosen to play this game.
I do not know how this cast expects to get 1 set through with 10 options, but hopefully Jujubee or JohnPopper have more of a sweet taste than a savoury one that #Lacroix had

New's Movie Taste: All Stars - ROUND 3..

5 NewNightmare7, Jul 13, 2022

Omg hey I'm back and a mess.
Ok so heres the critiques for our BOTTOM 2:
Voila - Adaptation (2002) - Watching Nicolas Cage act with himself was something else. This movie is wild. I like the themes. Its written very well and I love how bonkers it gets towards the end. Coming to that conclusion Kaufman was so against is ironic. Its written really well and Nicolas Cage is very grounded surprisingly and I appreicate that! Would I revisit it? Probably not but Im glad I got to experience it.
JayElVeeIsBack - Interstellar (2014) - I'm not gonna lie while I have always wanted to watch this movie. I was dreading it this round because oh my god its so long and I have to mentally prepare myself but never the less I prepped and here we are. I know turkeylover is not a Nolan fan but this isn't Nevra's Movie Taste (which im in so please keep me <3). I think I learned through season 3 that I love Sci-Fi space exploration movies. I just find them so enthralling because 1. They are gorgeous looking and 2. Its like the ultimate adventure. Whether its horror or not, im on board and this movie was enthralling. God I loved it. The acting was stellar, Jessica Chastain put an amazing emotional performance and Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway were amazing as well. There were twists and turns and so much exploration and emotion and depth like it checked so much boxes.
Ok and with that the eliminated contestant is unfortunately :(

New's Movie Taste: All Stars - ROUND 3..

5 NewNightmare7, Jun 27, 2022

Wow who would have thought this game would have continued huh? I just had this spark in the last couple of days and I powered through a majority of the films.
As I have said in the past, my mental health has dipped and it dipped even more dramatically. Its been long and very tough and im surprised im alive tbh but nevertheless I'm sorry for taking so long and I appreciate the patience and respect you have all shown me. It means alot <3
Ok so this round was all about movies that just had to be fun! Here are the results! Starting with the SAFE:
PennyTrationStan - But I'm a Cheerleader (1999) - Clea DuVall in the 90's had the most amazing hair style. I love the strands that fall down her face. Like damn she is great. I stan her. Anyways, this is real ass cinema. Its a very messy movie that I feel with its tone doesn't know what it wants to be but it makes it better? It has grounded moments and bombastic hilarious moments and it gives me gay wet hot american summer vibes and I dont know why. RuPaul gave me Paul Rudd and I was down for it. Clea DuVall and Natasha Lyonne's relationship is the heart of the movie though and its so cute. I believe their chemistry and its so cute. What a fun movie and I was not prepared for it. I love your knowledge of film its so expansive.
Thirteen - 2001 Maniacs (2005) - Ok I normally start off with stuck I like but one thing off the bat I did not was that banjo scene because it was obviously a homage to Deliverance...and then they reference it themselves like that to me was like hella lazy. Anyways, this is not really my type of movie but I have to commend those effects. That was ridiculous and I loved every second of those kills. Also Lin Shaye and Robert England just doing their thing I stan. While this isn't my thing I can't deny I kind of had a good time with it. Its stupid and i'd never wanna rewatch it but it was pretty entertaining and fun so it fit the theme!
austino15fffan - Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) - I never thought I'd see Jason Segel's penis but now that I have I don't know if i'm upset about it. I don't think so. Anyways, I went into this movie fully expecting to hate it because im not all that interested in comedy movies but more particularily Judd Apatow style comedies. However, I really enjoyed this movie and it comes down to the chemistry. Mila Kunis and Jason Segal are so cute. Particularily Mila Kunis. She is so stunning and amazing and I just love her. Anyways, while not all of the comedy stuck for me I did enjoy quite a bit of it and I was just invested. It was fun and im glad I enjoyed it!
nateclove - Venom (2005) - You can tell this movie came out after Saw because of it's flashy editing. Im also really surprised this is directed by Jim Gillespie cause he didnt do a bad job on I Know What You Did Last Summer. I don't know what happened here. Its a weird tone cause it wants to be a 90's movie but has awful..

✨ Jack's Music Taste S3 ✨ Episode 13..

8 J4ckWilko, Jan 19, 2022

❗❗ It's here, what we have all been waiting for! THE FINALE! This season we are revolutionary and bringing 4 of you here. You have all competed in 14 themes to get here and now only 4 themes remain between you and the cash prize and winning season 3. So who will become the winner of, Jack's Music Taste! *Claps*
Let's introduce the final 4:
🔥 Lacroix
🔥 Jfaia
🔥 Midiaw
🔥 Sosyomomma
Despite submitting 4 songs, I have only commented on your first three. When those have been said, the worst performer will be eliminated.
= = Comments = =
🔹 #Lacroix
Theme 1 - 𝒟 𝒟𝑜𝓊𝒷𝓁𝑒 𝐸 "𝒮𝓉𝓇𝑒𝑒𝓉 𝐹𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝑅𝒾𝒹𝒹𝒾𝓂"
This is a classic and I wanted to see how you all react and honestly this song is great and is very classic grime. I can tell you struggled with this theme probably like the others too but you did alright considering it being a hard theme.
Theme 2 - 𝒯𝒶𝓎𝓁𝑜𝓇 𝒮𝓌𝒾𝒻𝓉 "𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎"
This is a stunning song but I do feel it's kinda basic of a reference. The song is really nice and an easy listen but the reference is very obvious which isn't the worst but I wanted to see something a little more adventurous with your choice.
Theme 3 - 𝒜𝒹𝑒𝓁𝑒 "𝐸𝒶𝓈𝓎 𝒪𝓃 𝑀𝑒"
This definitely qualifies as a comeback song and you smashed it with your redemption, this song is revolutionary and the story behind the song is next level. I feel this is your best choice of the three songs that you had to submit for the first part of the final and honestly you have had a great season especially after being eliminated just before the finale last season but now your here!
🔹 #Sosyomomma
Theme 1 - 𝒩𝒶𝓈𝓉𝓎 𝒞𝓇𝑒𝓌 "𝒯𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝒪𝓊𝓉"
Despite having quite a long intro, you really got into this theme and did quite a lot better than I thought you would. The song is very catchy and goes straight for the genre of Grime. It can be a little bit repetitive though when thinking of it as catchy.
Theme 2 - 𝐸𝓂𝓎 𝒜𝓁𝓊𝓅𝑒𝒾 "𝐻𝒶𝓃𝓃𝒶𝒽 𝑀𝑜𝓃𝓉𝒶𝓃𝒶"
You absolutely love Emy I can tell and this song is another banger from you and it's just representing what you have been doing all season. The song is very catchy and I could listen to it for a while. I would say that there could be some differences in lyricism but i'm not complaining.
Theme 3 - 𝒜𝒹𝑒𝓁𝑒 "𝑀𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝐹𝑒𝑒𝓁 𝑀𝓎 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒"
You a legend for changing and this song is just a classic. I love old adele strangely more than new adele. The song is so raw and emotional and just explains young love so well. This song could have been your last song and honestly I can see..
