Stronger enforcement of rules Jan 4, 2014
Happy 2014.

Just wanted to remind and update everyone about a rule that will be stronger enforced as of now - Sexually explicit comments, messages and blogs.

The new update will be posted on our profile as well as on here.

Sexually explicit comments/messages/blogs -

Remember, this site includes 13-year-olds and people who are at work. If you wouldn't want your boss or your mom to see it, don't post it. If we deem a comment or blog inappropriate, you may receive a temporary ban (without warning), or at minimum, we will blacklist you for 3 days. The next offense will result in a 7-day blacklist; 3rd offense is 3 day ban and 7-day blacklist, going upwards from there, depending on the extent of the content.

In the past few weeks we have observed the blogs page and have received numerous complains about the content found on the blogs page from new users but also from many users that we consider veterans.

In short, we simply do not need to know about your sex life, your masturbation practice and who, or what, you want inside you or anywhere near you.

Some content will be acceptable obviously as this is not a coven but in general please keep your dirty minds to private conversation away from the public.

If you get blacklisted you will be informed about it and it is your responsibility to email us to take off the blacklist once the time period has expired.

If you have any questions about this please mail us. Please do not spam our mailbox with useless stuff.

Thank you

Reminder about IP checks and hacking Nov 24, 2013
Just a reminder about a few things that have been coming up lately relating to IP checks and hacking.

1.        Hunger Games and Stars – while we randomly check other games for multiple accounts, especially when reported by other users, these two kind of games are IP checked whenever a new one enrolls or when a moderator gets to it. If we see a user who either shares the same IP as another or who has logged in at the same device as another user then we will take action based on the rules in our profile and based on your previous offenses.

Please keep in mind that bans are cumulative. This means that even if you have never been banned for homophobic language, if you have been previously banned for racist comments, or harassments or anything of the likes, your first offense or continues offense may be higher. This applies to sharing IP, having multiple accounts or letting somebody into your account.

2.        Hacking of the Hunger Games – We are banning for 7 days automatically if you are fighting yourself in The Hunger Games as a first offense. Ban time will be increased after the 1st offense up until the possibility of a permanent ban. Shooting arrows at yourself will result in a one week red nose and a one week blacklist as a first offense following with a ban after your first offense.

3.        Doing other users’ challenges – if we catch you doing this you will receive an automatic ban based off of our previous rules. If you continue then your ban increases up until you face a permanent ban.

4.        Proxy servers – there are not many reasons why anybody should be using a proxy server. If it shows up on your IP it is highly suspicious and we will act on it. We go based off of our IP checks and act according to it.

5.        More than one account – we have the right to deny you the privilege of having your sibling, loved one or anybody else in your house hold play under your IP. If we see that you have previously been banned for having a multi, logging into other users’ accounts or sharing IP, then we will deny your request. If you have valid evidence that one user has lied about a sibling or loved one please contact us with solid proof.

6.        Screen shots – when reporting something please include a full page screen shot through a browser that is not chrome. This is our best way to deal with it. It is not a perfect system but it is the best we can do.

In conclusion, please play fair. It is not fair towards other users who work hard at becoming the best they can be in games only to be dealing with users who cheat, let others do their challenges or find a way around the system. We will especially have no sympathy for users breaking the rules when they have been here for an extended period of time and are fully aware of the rules. We are asking randomize to also look deeper into IP checks dealing with the Hunger Games and cheating in general.

Happy Sunday

Mailing system not working Nov 2, 2013
As you all know by now it seems that most users are affected by the mailing system not working. We are aware of it and have messaged randomize about it. We sadly do not have the ability to fix technical issues on this site.

Please mail us at moderation@tengaged.com with MAJOR issues during this time frame. Please do not spam our mailbox with questions that can wait.

Any rules that have been broken during this timeframe will be taken care off just like in the past with a possible delay.

We hope everything will be fixed in a timely manner. Until then pleas be patient as it will get fixed eventually.

Thank you

Quick Tips for Keeping Your Account Secure Apr 21, 2013
Since there have been some issues with hacking today, we thought we'd provide a few quick suggestions on how to keep your account safe.

1. Do not click off-site links if you're not certain whether or not the site they link to is safe. We believe this hack can occur through any link, so be very very careful if you value the security of your account. If you believe that your account has been compromised, please mail us ASAP (if you have been banned, email moderation@tengaged.com).  In particular, be ware of "disguised URLs" (e.g., tinyurl.com links that don't show you where your click will actually take you).  This article provides some tips on how to make sure a link is safe before clicking it - http://www.pcworld.com/article/248963/how_to_tell_if_a_link_is_safe_without_clicking_on_it.html

2. Do NOT share your password with anyone.  We say this again and again, but it continues to happen.  If you give someone your password and they go on your account and post porn, that is not "hacking," and you will be held 100% responsible.

3. Use a secure password that you don't use on other websites.

4. Do not input your Tengaged username on any other website.  In the past, hackers have created off-site surveys, offering free T$ and karma.  When you put your username/password into the survey, it is instead used to hack your account.  Tengaged Moderation will NEVER ask you for your password and you should never give it to any users or third-party applications/surveys etc.  If there is a question about whether or not an offer on this site is legit, please contact THIS account.
-----
If you notice any suspicious behavior or get any odd requests for your user information, please let us know ASAP.  We also ask that when sending reports to TM, you do not use any URL shortening or redirecting services.  All images should be uploaded through tinypic.com or gyazo - if not, we will ask you to resend using one of these image hosts.

Thanks for your help in keeping all of our accounts safe and secure!

Massive Bannings - A message from Randomize Apr 3, 2013
"It seems many of us got banned yesterday. Now all accounts are restored although I will need to fix few small issues as a ban automatically triggers some security measures that affects shop items, posts, etc.

Thanks a lot for your help and mails advising of the problem, It was really a shock when I woke up and found this mess.

It takes a lot of self control to be a mod, being many times in the middle of conflicts and using the mod powers in a consistent and fair way, so I guess our "ex-mod" couldn't handle it and started to ban all accounts he could. So thanks for the rest of the moderators for having always so much patience, specially with me :)  and sorry to all of you who were unfairly banned."

Technical Difficulties & Contacting Moderation Jan 15, 2013
We apologize for not posting this sooner.

There are several problems with our moderation tools at the moment, the most significant of which is the fact that when users are banned, they are not seeing the correct reasons for their ban.  In some cases, the reason for their previous ban is appearing when they try to log in, or no reason at all.  We are aware of this problem and hope Randomize will fix it soon - I believe he is in the process of completing some updates for our tools.  If you are banned and are unable to see the reason for your ban, you can email moderation@tengaged.com.

Please do NOT ask other users to mail us on your behalf - we will not be responding to those messages.

There are also a few other technical issues that are slowing our moderation process, so we appreciate your patience! Again, we ask that you direct moderation questions to this account (or our email address if and only if you cannot access your account), rather than contacting moderators directly through other tengaged accounts, skype, Facebook, etc.  This will ensure that you are speaking to an actual moderator and getting accurate information, and is also respectful to these volunteers and their personal time.

Thanks!
