The sound of birds singing in the wind woke the tributes, the past couple days have been rough on them. Every tribute aware that today will be the last day for three unfortunate souls. #Westyman557 sits in the trees, his fire still steadily going. He suddenly hears a scratching sound, but doesn't see anything. Westyman holds his spear above his head, ready to throw and a dagger in his left ready to cut. Crawling out from the dark tree line, a baby Grizzly Bear tries it's little heart out to let out a scary roar. Westy cant help but giggle when the momma pops out and growls, looking him dead in the eye. Momma bear's first instinct is to protect her children. Westyman grabs a log out of the fire, and throws in in the bushes between the bear and him, starting a fire. He turns and runs, safe from the bears.
#Likevines20 wakes up in the tree that she had made a hammock in. The sun shining in her eyes. She nods off the dizziness and sees a package sitting in her lap. It's a sponsor for her good work in the games. Killing four tributes, she's doing district 12 proud. When the wooden box was taken apart, a small metal brass knuckle shines in the sun. A red button sticks out just where her thumb can hit, but a note is attached reading, "get down safely."
While untangling the rope, Ashley smells smoke and starts to climb the tree. The smoke above the tree tops is dense, meaning fresh, green trees are being burnt. A forest fire. Ashley climbs down the tree and runs away from the fire, leaving her rope. She hits the red button on her brass knuckles and a circular bronze shield forms around her hand, big enough to cover her body when she kneels down. The red button is hit a second time and the shield turns back into a plain pair of brass knuckles. Weird sounds can be heard from the forest. Howls, too short to be wolves and too loud to be anything but human. Ashley continues to run from the fire, her axe wielded.
#LoveWakiza has been awake before the sun rose. Sleep is for the weak in her eyes. There will be plenty of time to sleep when the games are over, whether she's sleeping 6 feet in the ground, or in a bed of stain clouds. The blades of her sword have been sharpened again and again, the high pitched ring of the metal filling the valley. After sparing Guigi's life, Wakiza headed for the hills behind the forest. A finale was bound to happen here she thinks. The smoke rises above the trees, the fire growing closer to Wakiza... drawing the tributes closer. Today's the day. She stands up with her swords and starts to warm up.
#Guigi wakes up where the river met the lake, smoke filling the air. She starts to choke when she realizes she's already been breathing in heavy smoke. Being exhausted she has slept through half a fire, and the trees all around her are ablaze. She starts to sob, choking out tears through the smoke that burns her eyes. She rolls into the lake getting her body wet, takes a deep breath of air right by the surface and stands up. The water drips onto the ground and guigi covers her face. Sand flies into the air when she bolts through the flames, trying to find an exit, a place where the fire hasn't burned. Trying to find some fresh air. Her wet clothes only getting hotter, but unable to catch fire. Her hair starts to get hot and singe at the edges, slowly curling her hair. A huge gasp is let out when the sun and the wind hit Guigi's face and she falls to the ground, coughing up some gray goo. She get's back up and continues to run from the fire, seeing it cant climb the hills in the distance before sun down.
Wakiza see's a tribute with Dark red hair stumble from the burning trees and fall to her knees. Guigi. She doesn't want to hurt Guigi and hopes another tribute will get to her before she has to. Guigi gets off the ground and runs towards the north side of the hills, opposite of Waiza, who stares east into the forest thirsty for another kill.
#Westyman557 sees a tribute weaving between the trees, her feet moving so fast, gliding her over the flickering forest floor. He throws his spear towards #Likevines20 and it flies past her right shoulder, causing her to panic and fall to the floor. Westy jumps on top of ashley while she's down, swinging his dagger down towards her throat. She rolls to the left and Westy cuts her face, the fire slowly creeping towards them. Ashlely rolls back onto her feet and lunges towards Westy with the trident. The trident is knocked out of the way with a swift counter attack from Westy's machete, he then swings back around and slices ashley's thigh wound back open. Ashley screams in pain when she steps back and fires an arrow into Westy's left foot, pinning it to the ground. He scrambles going to pull it out when another arrow is fired into his right foot. Ashley then shoves the trident through Westy's stomach while staying out of his reach. He throws the dagger which then sticks into Ashley's hip. Westy falls on the ground, a pool of blood flowing towards the flames. Ashley leaves the trident, and grabs Westy's trident that lays on the ground.
BOOM
A loud thundering boom can be heard throughout the hills, the sound echoing many times before disappearing with the calm skies. Rain starts to heavily pour down again, singing the flames of the forest fire. A hovercraft flies through the gray skies and lifts a tribute into the air, then vanishing into the distance.
Guigi walks up and down the hills while the rain sprinkles onto her eyelashes. She coughs up the last bit of smoke that had condensed in her lungs and is startled when a tribute sits on a hill about 50 yards south of her.
"Come out Guigi, It's alright" Wakiza says. Guigi is hesitant but pokes her head up.
"I'm not going to hurt you. You're my final two and I wont fight you until it is time."
Guigi walks down the valley and strides up the hill to have an embrace with Wakiza.
"Good luck," Guigi whispers into her ear, "thank you."
The girls sit on the hill as they watch likevines20 come out of the tree line, her clothes covered in blood. Her hair tied up in a bun and ready for a final battle.
"Glad you could make it" Wakiza shouts
"Wouldn't have missed it girls. Let's get down to it" Ashley smiles when a few yelps can be heard. Everyone's attention is turned to the North where three men come from the tree line... people? Tributes? The men let out a few warrior calls and pull out bows which are loaded with arrows. Each warrior has a different side arm and different colored paint. The warrior with red paint has his bow aimed for Guigi, a baton hangs at his side. The one with yellow paint has a bow and a quiver full of arrows, a machete at his fingertips. The tribute with black paint is looking wakiza in the eye from a football field away, a double edged sword in a sleeve on his back. The arrows fly through the air and the men dash towards the tributes, getting halfway to them before the arrow is at peak.
Wakiza pushes guigi down the hill, making sure the arrow would miss her then twirls to the right with her swords drawn. Ashley's warrior sits on one knee, loading more arrows into his bow. She presses the button on her brass knuckles and the shield glistens in the sunlight, blocking all of the arrows the warrior tried to shoot at her. She looks up to see the warrior right over her, his quiver empty, dozens of arrows sit before her. Ashley dashes back and defends herself when the Warrior swings his machete at her. The two machetes cling around when Ashley shoves the warrior back with her shield, making him stumble backwards. Ashley quickly presses the red button while spinning around, taking a step back, grabbing her bow, and firing an arrow at him. The warrior falls to the ground, an arrow sticking out of his head. The warrior crumbles into sand.
Guigi sits at the bottom of the hill her hair in her eyes after rolling down the hill and gets hit in the head suddenly very hard. The warrior spins around, baton in hand and dashes towards Guigi again. She rolls out of the way and gets on her feet when she is hit again with his baton. He is faster than Guigi, and would surely win this fight if she didn't get a strategy down. Guigi sticks her hand up, grabbing onto the baton as it comes towards her head again, and slashes down the warriors arm with her dagger. Blood starts to gush from his arm and he dissipates into a pile of sand.
Wakiza is in a sword fight with her warrior, their blades meeting at every point possible, his double edged sword proving a worthy competitor. Wakiza shakes her head and smiles as this is all a fun game to her. Ashley runs up the hill, taking this advantage to kill Wakiza when she's distracted. Wakiza turns and blocks the attack from Ashley then turns to defend herself from the warriors attack, becoming a ninja of defense. She's unable to give an offensive attack and is quickly getting exhausted. The warrior swings his sword down where it meet's wakiza's knee, seperating her thigh from her calf. She falls to the ground when Ashley swings her machete towards Wakiza's head. Wakiza swings her sword, cutting ashley's other thigh open and Ashley rolls backwards down the hill. Suddenly, a sword is thrust into Wakiza's chest and her last breath slips past her lips.
BOOM
The warrior rolls down the hill where he forms a pile of sand.
Guigi runs up the hill and looks down, Ashley no longer on the bottom of the hill, but can't be seen. Guigi is tackled onto her left side and the girls roll down the hill. Guigi throws a punch at Ashley which meets her chin. She rolls over and Guigi is on top. She then slams down the dagger, missing Ashley's neck. Ashley kicks Guigi off who pops up and twirls her baton and throws it hard. The bronze shield quickly pops up and the baton bounces off and lands on the ground. The shield goes away, leaving Guigi's face in shock. She doesn't know how she can win against an eighteen year old with a shield... She feels defenseless. Ashley takes out her bow when Guigi dives and tackles her before she can get an arrow in. Guigi begins to pull ashleys hair out of her bun and smacking her head against the ground. Ashley smacks her axe into Guigi's shoulder and she falls off of her. When Ashley gets back up, she see's that her bow has snapped. Ashley twirls her mace in the air and dashes towards Guigi, smacking her in the face with the mace. Guigi's face starts to bleed and she falls to her knees, crying on the ground.
"I'm not going to die today" Ashley says as she swings the mace down, bashing Guigi's head in, squirting blood all over Ashley's face. She pants a few times as the blood drips off her face onto the ground and the last cannon can be heard
BOOM.
A loud booming voice can be heard:
"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, WE HAVE A VICTOR. ASHLEY, THE EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD FEMALE FROM DISTRICT TWELVE"
