*Alberto has reconnected with Hydra, and the pair wake up to a beating sun. Immediately, thirst hits the two of them*
Alberto: It's even hotter than yesterday...
*As Alberto sits up, he gasps in horror at the sight in front of him*
Alberto: What the fuck...
*Hydra holds her mouth as they look outwards onto what was once an ocean, however, it's now nothing but sand*
Hydra: It's all...gone...
*A figure dressed in black slides around the other end of the camp*
Hydra: Please say you have water...
Alberto: It was freshwater...I didn't think we needed any
Hydra: So we're in a desert with no water? Brilliant!
Alberto: There's gotta be something, I only saw a few bottles of water, meaning there has to be some water source somewhere
Hydra: Or we were supposed to get it at the cornucopia, and now our only hope is sponsors, and if the parade says anything, we don't have any!
Alberto: We'll be fine
*The figure in black now lines up at the back of their shelter, a crossbow bolt in place, and seems to be deciding which of the two to kill*
Alberto: There's gonna be a lake or lagoon or something on the island, mark my words!
*Hydra sighs, turning around*
BOOM!
*Hydra's body drops to the floor, a crossbow bolt sticking from her eye. Alberto screams, sprinting into the woods of palm trees as Hydra's cannon sounds. Alberto doesn't stop until he's on the other side of the island but decides going into the desert between islands would be a foolish move. He catches his breath, still shocked by what had happened to his District partner*
----------THE EAST ISLAND----------
(On This Island: Diego, Lucy)
*Similar to the District 5 tributes' reaction is the reaction of the District 12 tributes, panic immediately seeming to set in*
Lucy: Shoot...
*Diego instantly starts searching for something that could give them water. He spies a coconut high on a tree, trying to knock it down, though with limited success*
Diego: Coconuts...I've seen them in some past games as a source of water and food
*He eventually finds a long branch, which allows him just to knock the coconut down. Diego immediately runs forward, cracking it on a rock, and drinking the liquid inside*
Diego: That's vile!
*Lucy takes a sip, seeming to enjoy the taste*
Lucy: Nah, that's one of the best things I've ever tasted, far better than at home!
*Diego lets Lucy drink the rest of the coconut*
Diego: I guess...at least it'll keep us hydrated for today, we gotta find more!
*The pair begin scouting the beech, looking for coconuts that they could reach without having to climb. When it comes apparent there are very few of these, the pair re-group*
Lucy: You ever climbed before?
Diego: I can barely carry a cat...
*Lucy sighs, thinking of a way to get one, before finally shaking the three. Three coconuts fall into the sand. The pair each drink one, saving the third one for an emergency*
----------THE SOUTH ISLAND----------
(On This Island: Eoin, Lindsey, Jay, Amber)
*Jay and Amber wake up to the sound of something going through their supplies. Jay shoots up to see Eoin rummaging through their supplies. Eoin jumps, falling to the floor*
Eoin: PLEASE! DON'T KILL ME!
*Jay slowly walks towards Eoin, before offering him a hand up. Eoin seems wary and confused at first, but then takes it, Jay helping him to his feet*
Jay: You don't need to be scared of us
*Amber comes to see what the commotion is*
Amber: You're the three right?
Eoin: Y-Yeah!
*Amber quickly leads Jay behind a tree, and the two whisper to each other, even though Eoin can actually hear them*
Amber: He could be useful for us...imagine if we could get him to send a shock through the water
*Because the pair were sleeping inland, they are yet to notice the ocean's disappeared*
Jay: I don't think we can trust him...
Eoin: I can hear you, you know?
*The two sigh, stepping out from behind the three*
Eoin: I got nothing, you can search me if you want! If I had the intention to kill you I'd have done it in your sleep
*Amber does seem enthusiastic about getting Eoin to join them. Jay seems a bit more hesitant, but eventually agrees*
Jay: Welcome aboard
*Jay and Eoin have a handshake, before getting down to business*
Amber: You saw anyone else on the island yet?
Eoin: As far as I know it's just us three, but this is the first time I've left my little camp, there are probably gonna be more...hey do you two have water?
*The pair look at each other*
Jay: We found out the water was drinkable, so we didn't really think to save our water
*He pulls out a bottle of water from his pocket*
Jay: We got a dribble left, but there's loads of water on the beach
Eoin: Not anymore...it's all gone!
Amber: How?
Eoin: I don't know but...it's gone, and there's not a drop in sight
*The pair look at each other as Eoin gulps down the last of their water*
Amber: You realize that's all we have?
Eoin: Then why let it go to waste...
*He seems to feel the air*
Eoin: Given the temperature...we'll all be dehydrated by the end of the way, if not severely dehydrated, especially if we go lots of moving, so what I'd recommend is that we get into the shade, and stay there until night falls at least. It's a bit cooler at night so we'll be able to do more work done
*He seems to be scanning the area around for shelter. He eventually finds a small cave which he crawls into, motioning for Amber and Jay to follow*
Amber: Told you he'd be useful...
Eoin: Now we're in shade, we need to make sure our bodies don't get too hot. Even in the shade, we could become seriously dehydrated so...
*He wins at Amber before undoing the zip on his wetsuit. Jay immediately looks away*
Eoin: If we're gonna survive it's what we need to do. Getting dehydrated is the last thing we want, especially if there's gonna be no more water
Josh: Where the fuck did you learn all this?
Eoin: When you do drag you meet all kinds of interesting people...this one queen I met was a survival instructor by day, ass-kicking queen at night
*Eoin gets back into the cave, followed by Amber*
Eoin: And Jay...you can't keep your eyes closed all day so I'll give you a choice. You can become dehydrated and die, or you can at least get into this cave with us
*Jay reluctantly sighs, getting into the cave, but keeping his wetsuit on. For the rest of the day, the trio talk about Eoin's life as a Drag Queen, and what life is like in their Districts*

*Not far away from this cave is where Lindsey is sleeping. She suddenly hears the talking, and bolts up a palm tree quickly, searching the surrounding area, but not seeing anyone. She still seems on edge, and doesn't come down from the tree for the rest of the day, despite the heat she was in*
----------THE WEST ISLAND----------
(On This Island: Ashlynn, Glen, Paris, Sadhbh)
*Glenn and Paris sit, overlooking what used to be an ocean. Unbeknownst to them, Sadhbh is robbing them blind of food and other supplies behind them*
Glenn: I'm sure it'll be back tomorrow
Paris: Gee, your reassurance skills are amazing
Glenn: Thank you
Paris: I was being sarcastic
*Sadhbh quickly flees the scene with the majority of the duo's supplies. Sadhbh quickly returns to a perch on the top of the island, camouflaging herself into the stone. The grey blanket she was gifted by a sponsor also manages to shield her from the sun, and actually keeps her cool underneath*
Glenn: So, where do you reckon the others are?
Paris: Knowing him, Finn's probably crying in the cornucopia. Those two seemed so close
*Not long after Sadhbh left, Ashlynn seems to have found their camp*
Glenn: How about the girl from 10, I'm worried, because she knows how to live without water for an extended period of time. This is what, cold in District 10?
Paris: Probably...I've only gone there once
Glenn: ONLY? I've never even left my hometown
Paris: Kinda ironic for the travel district, isn't it?
Glenn: How about Ashlynn, where do you think she is?
*Before Paris can respond, a voice freezes them both in place*
Ashlynn: Here, bitch
*Before either can respond, Ashlynn suddenly stabs Paris through the brain, her cannon sounding instantly*
BOOM!
*Glenn screams, throwing some sand in Ashlynn's face. This distracts him just long enough to grab a backpack that was resting nearby, not knowing who's or what was in it, and flees towards the Northern Island. Ashlynn pursues him through the forest of palm trees, but knows it wouldn't be worth chasing him, and that she'd only get dehydrated and weakened by chasing him*
----------THE CORNUCOPIA----------
(On This Island: Finn, Chryssie)
*Chryssie seems to have been humored by Finn crying over his girlfriend all day, however, by midday, the sun is baking Chryssie alive, and the metal of the cornucopia is burning her. She knows she'll need to somehow make an escape. She looks over the cornucopia, where she can't see Finn, but hear's his sobs from inside. She takes a deep breath, getting up and slowly sliding down the cornucopia's sides, cringing as she makes a bang on the wall. Finn doesn't seem to want to look at what made it though. She slowly creeps off the island, into the sea of sand around her. Almost relieved she won't have to try and swim in silence, Chryssie makes a break for the Southern island. Only when Finn finally comes outside of the cornucopia does he notice Chryssie fleeing the scene. He lets out a cry of annoyance but goes back inside, where the cornucopia is shielding him from the sun*
----------THAT NIGHT----------
*As the sun finally sets, the faces of the fallen tributes are shown in the sky*
