Eurovision 2023: My Top 37 (25-22)

Mar 22, 2023 by SeaViper
As we start to reach the middle-areas of the ranking there's sadly still a lot of meh to get through

#25: Romania - Theodor Andrei - "D.G.T"

While this song isn't as BAD as people seem to make out, it's still not exactly outstanding. Sure, it's decent, the live performance could really be improved by removing the naked people, but otherwise it's not a bad song. I was shaken to learn he was 18 though, like DAMNNN

#24: Azerbaijan - TuralTuranX - "Tell Me More"

This is cute, but again, it's just a bit meh and forgettable. Nothing wrong with this one, just nothing notable here. Truly just the most "meh, ok" song of the year for me overall

----------

#23: Albania - Albina & Familja Kelmendi - "Duje"

I'm now truly starting to enjoy the songs on my countdown. This is always a nice listen, but it doesn't quite hit me the same as my top 20 does, which is why it just misses out. The live performance can be improved, but overall, this is pretty solid all around and has a small shot to qualify :)

#22: Cyprus - Andrew Lambrou - "Break A Broken Heart"

My overall issue with this song is that it's just a bit generic. If it came on the radio, I wouldn't really turn it off, but it's not something I'd be hoping to listen to again. It's fine, and it scares me that this could potentially do very well, but I do think it deserves to qualify, but it's not really something I'd want to see in the top 15 overall
