Binged the fuck out of this show the last few days. Not watched NYC but tbh idk if I want to it doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy. Counting the two parts of Double Feature as two separate seasons
11: Hotel - I didn't make it past the first episode. It was genuinely just a mess and not in a good way
10: Death Valley - I mean it's at least a chaotic mess which I can appreciate. Thank god this was only 4 episodes, any more and I think I would've died. Lily Rabe deserved more screentime they did her so dirty in this one
9: Cult - It wasn't AS BAD as everyone said it was but it's nothing compared to the other seasons. I also kind of hated every character in this season, they all annoyed me in their own way
8: Red Tide - It was actually quite a cute idea, but by the end of episode 2 I felt like I knew how it was going to end and I was correct. No real surprises in this one, just kind of predictable, but it was fine
7: Apocalypse - It was cute seeing Coven x Murder House but one big flaw is how everyone just kept coming back. I get they're witches, but death was not a threat and felt very impermanent. The young couple got a lot of screentime even though they did basically nothing, and the season really needed a few more episodes because there was a lot going on and not enough time for it all
6: Coven - I know people like this season, and I did too, out of the characters from every season this might have the best collection. It was just the lack of anything scary here for me...the title sequence is really creepy and scary but the season itself is not. Anyway, I'm glad they brought the witches back, and out of all the seasons I feel the most like this would do the best as a standalone show. There's a lot of things they could do with this
5: 1984 - I love me some good summer camp slasher! The first half was better than the second, but the overall package was still very good! It did feel a lot like watching a season of Slasher which is a good thing because I can the fuck out of that show
4: Murder House - The original season! Although the first episode was a fucking mess, episode 2 got me hooked on this season and this show as a franchise. It was a bit long...it could have easily gotten away with 10 episodes rather than 12 (there was a LOT of filler). This is still a very confusing storyline that somewhat reminded me of The Watcher (which ik is made by the same people so that seems logical). It also reminds me of the comedy Ghosts. I couldn't stop thinking about that lmfao. I liked how it tied in with Asylum, and while I've read that some people don't like the Pepper episode I really liked it <3
3: Freak Show - This season was another beautiful mess. The number of villains was definitely a bit much...they could've killed the strong man off earlier he was the worst villain of the lot. There was a lot going on but I like ASC seasons when they're busy. I do need to say though...MA PETITE WAS ROBBED LIKE QUEEN DESERVED TO SURVIVE!!!
2: Roanoke - It's very close between my top 2 but this one just loses out. The second half for me was a lot better than the first, and out of all the seasons I'd say this one was the scariest. The first half didn't really have any tension for me because we knew the three main characters survived and I didn't really care about the daughter. The second half though...that really was a fun ride! The cannibals, Kathy Bates going nuts, people dropping like flies...the whole thing was honestly amazing to watch and it appealed to the really fucked up part of me. The Cannibals were scarier than the Butcher and took center stage for me
1: Asylum - This one is absolute madness but I have to stan it. There was a bit too much going on I admit; the aliens, the demon, the zombies, the serial killer...it was very busy but that's just how I like it. Sister Jude was personally my favorite version of Jessica Lange, and tbh Lana and Kit were the best versions of Sarah and Evan too. The setting was also so iconic, the only thing I didn't like so much were the sections in each episode that took place in the present, especially at the start...they felt a bit forced, but otherwise, I loved everything about this one <3
ugh FINALLY someone that has Freakshow not at the bottom. It’s the season that got me into AHS and even after going back to rewatch it it still holds up. Also finally someone with Coven not at 1/2
