I'm surprised you included me lmao, maybe once upon a time I'd be a threat, now I'd be destroyed with that cast lmao. It would be interesting to play and watch though
these people are popular but that does not mean they are an all-star. if anything they shouldn't be here because MOST of them are not all-star material. there are a few like survivor8/phenom etc that do combine their strategic side with their popularity and so they should be included
list should include people that are gameplayers and must rely on their strategy instead of popularity:
and sure maybe I'm biased but all of these people are good stars players and you can ask people who will not use bias and I promise they can see that all of these people are good players. sure they might lose polls because outside of the game they are honest and upfront and not fake so they lose support.
and i dont even know why some of these people are on the list. To me an all-star should have won at least once or made finals multiple times or "ran the game" multiple times.
No I'm just saying if it's an all stars cast, it should be of people who played the internal game well as in go unnommed or near it; not just the most popular people on the website
Popularity is a part of it yeah but it isn't everything, there are tons of gameplayers who have gone unnommed (more than once...) who aren't on this list so yeah I would think they deserve it over people who just get saved over and over
I get what you're saying Milkisgood, maybe you are right and there should be a mixture
Akora if you can survive polls you are good at stars... because that's the whole point of it, if you can go unnomminated you are good too. Winning the game is the whole point of it, if when you play you win, you're pretty good at the game. I wouldn't include myself on this list, because I've only played twice and I won once, but I think that there isn't anything wrong with being a popularity threat. People have no idea what it's like to play stars as a popularity threat, it is excruiatingly painful because you're a counter every single day, so where people might be like "well you're popuar so you don't deserve it" they don't take it account the fact that, yeah maybe I did get nommed three times, but I also avoided nomination 9 times.
Anyway sorry for the rant... I think yeah there should be a mixture of gameplayers and popularity threats, but I really don't think being popular should be counted out... it's what stars is about
helencoops of course, stars is a popularity contest, no doubt about it. I am just saying that sometimes these popular people only rely on their popularity and do not contribute much to the game. SOME people (not all) are just, "Oh I am a counter? well, I am popular so I'll survive anyway, so who cares".
I agree with you, to be good at stars you need to be popular. I was just saying that an all stars cast would be someone who really plays the game internally like there is no tomorrow. I want strategy from an all stars cast, the backstabbing, the drama.
Ok yeah I see what you're saying Akora. Btw I'd never be one of those people that just relied on popularity (especially since I don't hve any nowadays lmao), I still worked my ass off trying to not be nommed
AkoraMilkisgood I don't think that's a fair assessment, because like HelenCoops said, it's not like people just sit there waiting to get nommed just because they're popular and will likely survive. Well, maybe some people to, but it's not a fair assumption that all popularity threats do.
Milk arguably knows first hand, as he can probably attest that in my Stars, there was nothing that could be done to keep myself from going up. He may think that I didn't try, but after everyone from your alliance is gone and you're the only one left after already going up however many times in a row, you realize your place in the game and you HAVE to rely on your popularity if you wanna win. Playing the public is the name of the game. Sure, internal strategy CAN work if the public sees it and supports it, but it's absolutely useless if they don't. You're not gonna win without the public support, even if you played the greatest internal game ever played.
