For this week’s Top 10 Tuesday, here is my list of top 10 Star Wars characters who deserve a spin-off.
10. Jar-Jar- Ha, I’m just kidding.
9. Obi-Wan- Lots of people want Obi-Wan. I think we’ve seen a lot, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Ewan McGregor back, because he gives one of the better performances in the franchise.
8. Qui-Gon Ginn- Poor Liam Neeson only got a small chapter of his character’s story told. I’d love to see how Qui-Gon became the Jedi Master he was in Phantom Menace, and think Liam Neeson has more good movies under his belt that don’t involve trains, planes, or the word “Taken.”
7. Maz- We loved Lupita N’yongo’s Maz in Force Awakens, but were treated to pretty much nothing in Last Jedi. I want to know where Maz has been and how she became the cooky lady she is, and what she has to do with Luke’s saber! So many questions!
6. Snoke- Snoke met his end, sure. But I know there’s lots to learn about his training of Ben Solo (aka Kylo Ren), and how he became so powerful. He has to be old, right? So where was he in the times of the Emperor? It would be a cool story to explore.
5. Boba Fett- They tried a Boba Fett child story in Attack of the Clones, and it was a dud. But what about his adventures during the events of A New Hope before we met him in Empire? That would be interesting to see.
4. The Other Bounty Hunters- While Boba Fett is great, we HAVE seen him before in an origin story. Let’s see how Greedo, Hammerhead, Snaggletooth, Bossk, and the other bounty hunters came to be. I think it would be a fun story, and could be the movie everyone wanted Suicide Squad to be.
3. Lando- We already know Donald Glover is going to be an amazing Lando Calrissian. It’s a shame that we aren’t seeing the movie LANDO: A STAR WARS STORY this coming weekend, but I’m sure we may in the future.
2. Yoda- Seeing Yoda’s origins is something I’ve always wanted to see, and I think he’s someone audiences don’t get sick of. We saw him in The Last Jedi and audiences went nuts. I think they would go nuts if he was back again!
1. Nobody- This a galaxy big enough for new, original stories. So let’s meet new characters, explore new worlds, and let the old characters be. That’s my main thought about these prequel series.
