Since Jigsaw is coming out soon and I love the franchise, I might as well rank the series. This is just my opinion so I don't care if its not accurate in other views...Also I won't spoil if people haven't seen it and plan on watching before Jigsaw.
7. Saw 3D - The blood is pink...every other character aside from the main ones have nothing to do with the story. The only satisfying part to the movie was the end that is somewhat unsatisfying. Kind of just a mess.
6. Saw V - While the first two traps and the central character traps are really interesting, there were some plot holes and nothing really satisfying came from this movie. I will say the twist was really interesting as well as the ending. I just find the others more entertaining.
5. Saw IV - I think this movie tried to have like 9 storylines, the one with the central character and the cops as well as the opening character and of course Jigsaw just playing a factor in all of it even after 3. I'm not really bored watching it though so that's a plus as well as Jigsaw doing everything. Traps were fun and the opening scene is possibly my favourite moment or 2nd.
4. Saw III - This one can be a hit or miss for alot of people, to me it was a hit. This was the first Saw movie I watched (I thought it was one but I only had the disc so until I started watching it I had no clue). Anyways, the traps are great and I thought the characters were more drawn out and easy to sympathize with (the main ones). However, the other 3 movies I find more enjoyable.
3. Saw VI - Hmm. It is so hard to talk about these movies without spoiling them :(. Anyways, I really enjoyed this story line. It really played in to the medical situation that continues to happen and it's always nice to see some douches play the game. I loved the flashbacks in this movie and the ending (well a part that happens before the ending) was great. Also, Roderick!
2. Saw II - I loved this sequel, the concept of a house trap was really cool and this one trap involving a pit is my favourite trap. Also, I love that a character from the first one came back gloriously since that is my favourite character. The double twist at the end is also second best to the original. Just nothing though can beat an original.
1. Saw - Saw is a horror thriller with an incredible amount of depth to an otherwise simple concept. When I say simple, I mean the overall premise, the rest of that shit can get incredibly confusing. It's not a perfect movie and probably not James Wan's best professionally (even though it is my favourite) there is something about this movie that keeps anyone enticed. The traps are great, the Jigsaw killer is great, the two main characters are interesting (even though Leigh Whannell did some shit acting. Maybe on purpose). Overall, I just really enjoy this movie and it's definitely always fun to watch. Oh and Danny Glover.
That was hard trying not to spoil considering this series is based on twists and spoilness. Anyways that was a fun list and what is your favourite Saw movie? Once again, just my opinion...
