-A Morning Tragedy-
The careers have camped out all night inside of the mobile home tower. Osiris, who feels way in over her head, is seemingly the first to wake up.
She looks to her right and sees Damon sleeping. She then notices that Kai is nowhere to be found.
Osiris then starts to panic and wakes up Damon.
Osiris: Damon! Wake up!
Damon: W-what? Did you find tributes to kill?
Osiris: No! Kai is gone!
Damon: W-what do you mean?
Osiris: He’s missing, Damon! I have no clue where he went!
Damon: So? He probably woke up early to hunt for tributes... it’s not a big deal. Let me go back to sleep.
Osiris: It IS a big deal, Damon! There’s a huge alliance out there who are targeting us! He could be in danger!
Damon: Okay... well, then go looo for him if you want to!
Osiris: I’m not going out alone! You’re gonna come with me.
Damon: Do I have to? I’m still tired...
Osiris: It doesn’t matter if you’re tired, Damon! This is the Hunger Games! Get your ass out of bed and help me look for our ally!
Damon tiredly gets himself out of bed, and Osiris drags him out into the junkyard to look for Kai.
They don’t really have much of a lead at first... but then they hear a loud explosion coming from their right.
Osiris: Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me... that has to be him.
The two then notice that the path they are walking down doesn’t turn right at all.
Osiris: Come on, we’ll climb over the garbage pile. It’s a quicker way of getting to the other side.
The two then begin to climb.
Osiris reaches the top, and then sees a figure throwing grenades at a scrap pile.
Osiris: There he is! Wasting our weapons! What is he thinki—
Suddenly, Osiris hears a scream coming from behind her.
She turns around... and notices that Damon is gone.
Osiris: Damon?
She then feels something grab her foot.

It’s Damon’s hand.
She quickly grabs it and tries to pull him up, but something is obviously trying to keep him down in the scrap pile.
Osiris is able to pull Damon’s head out from under the scrap pile... but can’t lift him up any higher.
Damon: There’s fire down here! It burns!!!
Osiris: What?!
Damon: This isn’t fair! I was supposed to make everyone else suffer like this! I was supposed to!
Suddenly, something pulls Damon so hard, he goes completely under. Osiris is unable to find him.
Suddenly, a cannon goes off.
BOOM!
Osiris then gets off of the scrap pile onto the other side. She then hears another explosion go off... and hears another cannon go off afterwards.
Osiris has no idea who’s cannon it was... but she knows it wasn’t Kai’s, because he can be seen in the distance.
She runs over to him.
Osiris: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Kai: Calm down, I was just having a little fun! I—
Osiris: YOU STUPID STUPID MAN! You’re alerting everyone of our presence! Now the alliance could know where we are!
Kai: So what?! I bet we could take them! I’ve got the explosives, and you and Damon have the—
Osiris: I just watched Damon die!
Kai: W... what?
Osiris: I don’t know what killed him, but... just... don’t go into the scrap heaps! Stay on the path! Come on, we gotta find a place to hide!
Kai: But... wait, I don’t think I understand wha—
Before Kai can finish, Osiris takes his hand, and the two run off.
-Nice Guys Finish Last-
Roddy and Ronalda are both walking through the arena chatting with each other.
Ronalda: I never really imagined how I’d do in the Hunger Games. I always thought I’d die instantly, but... if I’ve lasted this long, maybe I can win!
Roddy: But... that would mean you’d have to kill at some point.
Ronalda: Not necessarily... I could wait out for someone to die of natural causes! Hunger, injuries... maybe there will be mutts at some point!
Roddy: Buy would you feel okay with letting people die like that?
Ronalda is silent for a moment.
Ronalda: No. I guess not. But... but what about you?
Roddy: Oh, me? I guess I also thought I’d die on the first day. But I bet I could make it far now! I—
Suddenly, the two are interrupted by a giant explosion in the scrap pile next to them.
They see scrap parts flying everywhere...
Most of which are flying toward them.
Ronalda looks at Roddy... and a giant scrap part suddenly falls right where he’s standing. When Ronalda is able to process what had happened, all she can see is a giant messy puddle of blood and guts where he was standing.
BOOM!
Ronalda then attempts to run... but a scrap part falls right on top of her. And then another. And then another.

-Getting Rid of Competition-
Anastasia’s alliance has woken up, and are looking for the tributes.
Nolano: Where could they be?
Jake: I know... I’m afraid that they could come out at any second and kill us all!
Brittany: No they can’t! There’s only three of them... we got this!
Varus: But they know how to use their weapons better than we do! We may not stand a chance... we may not—
Anastasia: All of you, calm down! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they don’t kill any of us. We don’t have to find them today, they’ll turn up at one point or another. Nolano, why don’t you go find a good place for us to camp for the night?
Nolano: Uh... okay.
Anastasia: The rest of you can help him if you want. I’m gonna go searching for something else. Signal me if you run into trouble.
Anastasia then splits up with her alliance. She didn’t really need to look for anything, she just felt like she needed a moment away from her alliance members, feeling as if they were so “hopeless”.
Anastasia walks on the path thinking to herself when she notices that up ahead, she can see a figure. She recognizes who it is immediately.
It’s Elektro.
Anastasia knows that Elektro is a strong tribute, and could jeopardize her chances of winning. She comes up with an idea.
Elektro is trying to find his way when he suddenly hears something coming from his right.
Elektro: Wha...?
Elektro decides to walk in the opposite direction, not wanting to get in any trouble.
Suddenly, someone runs out in front of him and stabs him.
Anastasia, who made a pile of scrap parts fall and was able to cut off Elektro’s path, has tricked him into walking right into her.
Anastasia sticks her sword right through Elektro’s stomach. Once she pulls it out, Elektro falls to the ground and succumbs to his wounds.
BOOM!
???: What did you do?!
Anastasia suddenly looks to her right. Jake is watching her.
Anastasia looks worried, but then looks reassuring.
Anastasia: He attacked me. I was just defending myself.
Jake: Oh! Of course... sorry!
Anastasia: No problem! Hey... did you guys find a place to camp?
Jake: Yeah! It’s another mobile home tower....
The two then walk to their camp for the night, Anastasia having a secret grin on her face.
-Two Unlikely Allies-
Jawanda has been avoiding trouble all day. Instead of exploring the arena, she’s been inside of a mobile home.
She’s been too scared to even exit. But now, she’s trying to push herself to exit.
Jawanda is standing in front of the door. She takes a deep breath and reaches for the handle.
However the door opens without Jawanda having to touch it. Someone has opened it from the outside.

It’s Callum. He rushes inside of the mobile home, and closes the door. He doesn’t even realize that Jawanda is standing in front of him until he looks up.
The two stare at each other for a moment.
Callum: I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to—
Jawanda: I-I don’t wan’t any trouble! I don’t wanna hurt you...
Callum: I don’t wanna hurt you either!
Jawanda: So... are we good?
Callum: Uh... If you think we are.
Jawanda: Okay. Phew.
The two suddenly look relieved. Callum then gets an idea.
Callum: Hey! It’s getting dark... cami stay here?
Jawanda: What? Why?
Callum: Look... I think my sister is trying to kill me! I need a place to hide...
Jawanda: Your sister wants to kill you? What if she comes here?
Callum: No, she won’t! She doesn’t even know where I am, I promise. If I go back out there... she could kill me. Please let me stay!
Jawanda: I-I...
Callum: Please!
Jawanda: I... uh... fine! But only for tonight.
Callum: Oh my god, thank you!
Jawanda: Don’t... don’t mention it.
The two get ready for bed. Callum doesn’t know that Malibu is outside watching him from a distance, having seen him enter the building.
-Showing Mercy-
Ronalda wakes up. It is now nightfall.
She tries to get up... but realizes she can’t feel her legs.
Ronalda then looks at her arms, which are covered in blood.
She then remembers the explosion from earlier... and then notices that a bunch of scrap parts have fallen on the lower part of her body, preventing her from getting up.
She tries to lift them up. Obviously, she isn’t strong enough.
She then calls out for help.
Suddenly, she notices someone walking toward her. She tries to see who it is, but she’s in too much pain to focus.
The next thing she knows, the mystery person is standing over her.
Ronalda: H-help me... I can’t feel my legs...
The mystery person doesn’t say a word.
Ronalda: Who... who are yo—
Suddenly, the mystery person sticks a knife in her skull.
BOOM!

The mystery person was Merke. She decided to put an end to Ronalda’s suffering.
Merke then continues on her way.
Suddenly, the fallen tributes of the day appear in the sky.
